The sight of him approaching her caused her to take a step back in response to his actions.
“A-Alpha, what are yo-“
He reached out his hand and grabbed her hand. She gasped when he drew her closer to him.
Her body crashed into his. She bit her lower lip when she felt the closeness between them.
He leaned down to meet her level. His nose touched her hair as if he were sniffing the smell of her hair.
Her heart began pounding rapidly. He stroked her bare arms with his hands. His touch throbbed her wolf inside.
“M-Mate,” she mumbled as she closed her eyes.
His fingers slowly moved across her skin, igniting her entire body.
Bryan lowered his head, leaned into her ear, and then whispered,
“You know I have an important meeting to attend, right? Why are you testing my patience?”
She shook her head and opened her eyes. She wanted to hug him and told him that she was doing nothing.
But if she tried to hug him, the towel would fall off her body, which she did not want.
“I am not doing anything,” she replied with a shaken tone.
She put her other hand on his shoulder and rested it there.
His hands paused when he felt how nervous she was. She was feeling embarrassed by showing up like this in front of him.
His hand moved slowly to her back, resting around her waist.
She thought he would do something to her. But to her surprise, he whispered in her ear again,
“Relax. I was just teasing you. There is no need to be nervous like this.”
His deep tone could not relax her. It only increases the pace of her heartbeat.
But after a few seconds, she realized what he had just said.
Bryan moved his head. Her wet hair brushed against her face when he did that.
He looked at her face and said,
“Get ready and come out. I’m waiting for you outside.”
After saying that, he stood tall and backed away.
She saw him turn around and exit the room.
She stared at the door for a while.
She flushed red and covered her face in embarrassment.
“Ahh!!! How can I be this stupid? He was only teasing me.”
She quickly pulled out a dress from the closet and put it on. Later, she did not take much time to get ready.
When she opened the door, she found Bryan dressed in a new suit.
“How did he take a shower and change his clothes? Did he lie to me about the suite only having one bedroom?’
Her eyes fell on another door in the living room. She noticed that the living room had an attached bathroom.
“Ready?” she heard Bryan.
She looked at him and gave him a nod. “Yeah.”
He took a brief look at her clothes before nodding back.
She lowered her head and looked at her clothes. She was dressed in a coat skirt with a V-cut that clung to her hips and reached all the way down to her knees. On top of that, she wore a blue suit jacket and a white shirt underneath.
“You looked more like a CEO than a secretary,” he muttered as he made his way to the door.
His remarks shocked her. Should she change her dress?
She then pushed the thought out of her mind because she did not have enough time to go inside the room and return after changing her clothes.
Both of them left the hotel and got into a new car. Sophia assumed Bryan had rented the car, but she soon realized he had purchased it recently. The driver said he changed the car. He had another car before this one.
Sophia felt that rich men had their own world where they could buy expensive things and change them according to their wishes at any time.
The car came to a stop in front of a company. It was the pack company of the River Moon Pack.
The beta of the pack welcomed them as soon as they entered the company.
He led them into the conference room, where they met the CEO and Alpha of the River Moon Pack.
“Alpha Bryan, it’s a pleasure to see you in my pack.” Alpha Elias spoke up the moment Bryan entered the room.
He shook his hands with Bryan and then moved his gaze to Sophia.
“Hello, Alpha Elias, this is Sophia Berge,” Sophia said, shaking her hand with him.
Alpha Elias was a young man in his early thirties. He smiled as he nodded his head at Sophia.
Sophia looked at the other men who were standing to greet Bryan. Alpha Elias introduced her to his secretary, a young and attractive woman. They greeted each other.
After the greetings, Alpha Elias took his seat in the head chair. Bryan sat in the other head chair.
Sophia stood next to her Alpha, holding a tab in her hand. Just like Elias’s secretary.
“Sit,” Bryan said, turning to face Sophia.
Sophia was stunned. It was the first time he had ever permitted her to take a seat in the meeting.
“Where would I sit?” she asked, glancing at the empty seats, which were a little further away from Bryan.
Bryan shifted his attention to the man, who was also an Alpha, and was seated on the right side of his chair. He then pointed the man in the direction of the seats that were empty.
“Go sit there. My secretary will sit close to me.”
Everyone in the conference hall was shocked. They turned their attention to Sophia. Meanwhile, Sophia felt awkward under their gaze.
However, she could not deny that she was also surprised. She did not expect Bryan to ask another Alpha to leave his seat for her.
That Alpha rose from his seat and walked toward the empty seat. Sophia could see that he felt a little embarrassed.
Bryan looked at Sophia, directed her to the seat on his right side, and said, “Sit.”
She hurried over to her seat, not wanting to attract any more attention.
As she sat down on the chair, Bryan told Alpha Elias to continue the meeting.
Sophia looked at Alpha Elias’ secretary, who was looking at her with a puzzled expression. Elias did not tell her to sit down.
Sophia averted her gaze from her and paid attention to the meeting.
Sophia could not keep track of how long the meeting went on.
The meeting went well since Bryan agreed with Alpha Elias, and they signed the deal.
When they left the conference hall, she realized it was noon.
Stepping out of the lobby area, she followed Bryan behind.
Her steps halted when her stomach growled inside, making her feel starving.
She grabbed her stomach, realizing she was hungry.
Bryan turned his head toward her. “What happened?”
She gave him a smile before shaking her head. “Nothing.”
His eyes shifted to her body, and he saw her covering her stomach. “Don’t worry, we are returning to the hotel. We will have our lunch there.”… Her eyes lightened up. She felt relieved that she would no longer be hungry.
“Okay.”
They arrived at the hotel and went to their suite.
