Deacon’s tall and straight body suddenly stiffened. He stared at the girl’s tears. He had already bullied her into a corner. All she did was lower her head and sob. Her teeth were biting on her red lips. It was pitiful for her to be curled up and bullied by him.
It was as though a basin of cold water had been poured on Deacon. All the violence and rage which he exuded had instantly vanished, as he returned to his senses.
He didn’t know what he had just done!
He was horr ible!
She must h ate him now!
Deacon’s gaze landed on her slender wrist. In the institute, he had pulled her very hard. Her skin was very delicate, and red marks were now visible on her wrist.
His hands were so strong that he left traces almost as soon as he touched her.
Deacon quickly let go of her. His heart seemed to be empty, and it hurt alot.
Deacon raised his hand and smashed his fist directly on the mirror beside him.
The mirror shattered to pieces, and a few long blo o dy openings were pulled out of his hand.
He immediately turned around and left.
Deacon didn’t leave the corporation, but had stayed in the CEO’s office. He sat on the black leather chair and began to smoke. The smoke obscured his handsome face. Scarlet ashes fell from his fingertips, emitting a layer of hostility.
After some time, a sudden voice exclaimed from the bathroom,
“Ah!”
Deacon was startled and quickly threw the cigarette bu tt into the ashtray. He pulled out his long legs and pushed open the lounge door.
“What’s wrong?” He inquired, with his eyes staring at her.
Oriana had cried enough. Her eyes and nose were red. Her eyelashes were dripping with tears. She got dressed and stepped down from the washstand, but her limbs are numb from being inactive for a long time. She almost fell as soon as she landed.
Oriana raised her eyes and looked at the man by the door. Her muffled voice queried,
“Why didn’t you leave?”
Deacon didn’t expect that she would still be willing to talk to him. Didn’t she dislike him anymore? Didn’t she h ate him anymore?
Deacon’s voice was hoarse.
“You’re here, I can’t. I can’t even dare to leave. I’m afraid that if I leave, then you’ll leave as well. And i won’t be able to find you.”
Oriana snorted. Her eyes darkened and her slender body fell directly to the carpet.
Deacon was startled as he stretched out his long arm and pulled her into his embrace.
“Oriana! What’s wrong with you? Oriana?”
Oriana opened her eyes and stared at Deacon’s handsome face. Now, his face was clouded with tension and guilt.
“I’m not feeling too well. You still don’t believe me. Marvin just helped me because I was sic k. Mr. Armstead can you please trust me this once?”
Deacon looked at her saddened and pale face. He should have noticed that something was wrong with her face in the institute, but he was blinded by jealousy. He didn’t realize that she was sic k. He went on to torture her the more.
“I believe you.” Deacon held her hands and kissed her messily.
“Mrs. Armstead, I’m sorry, I don’t know why I’m always like this. I h ate myself like this.”
Oriana looked at the corners of his red eyes and wrapped her arms around his neck.
“I’m feeling a little bit dizzy. Carry me to the bed. So I can rest for a while.”
Deacon quickly picked her up and placed her on the big soft bed.
He took out his medical kit, knelt on one knee beside the bed, and started to help her treat. her wound.
He lowered his eyes and looked very focused. He moved gently, afraid that he’ll hurt her.
After he had healed the wound on her fingers, he smeared the medicine on her wrist.
After applying medicines to all her wounds, he covered the first aid kit and put it back in the drawer. He stood up and started cleaning the mess in the room with a broom.
Oriana looked at him. The wound on his hand had not been treated, but the blood had already clotted.
Deacon squatted and picked up the pill that he had thrown away, he silently put it into his mo uth and swallowed it.
Oriana suddenly felt like a big hand was grabbing tightly to her heart, causing it to hurt.
Oriana stood up from the bed, and hug Deacon’s waist gently from behind.
Deacon halted the moment Oriana’s soft body touched him.
Oriana hugged him tightly and did not let go. Her pale and stunning face looked up at his handsome face.
“Mr. Armstead, let’s not fight in the future, okay?”
Deacon’s eyes were filled with mixed emotions. He cupped her face with his hands and said in a hoarse voice,
“I’m sorry Mrs. Armstead, did I say alot of hurtful words?”
“Yeah, a whole lot. You said that you didn’t lack women and that there are also many women who are more beautiful and better than me. You also said that if I cheat on you, that you won’t want me anymore. And that I can request for a divorce if I’ve found someone better…” Deacon bent over and covered her mo uth with his lips.
When his body was controlled by the gloomy and violent aura, he didn’t know how much he had said. But as he listened to her narrate his words, he felt like an as sho le.
He kissed her gently but passionately, as though he wanted expressing his guilt with the kiss.
Deacon slowly let go of her red lips, but his face was still very close to Oriana’s.
“I was losing my mind. When I saw Marvin holding you at the institute, I felt like killing you both. I wanted to destroy everything that is in this world. Oriana, sometimes, I really do feel terrible about myself. I really can’t promise you that there won’t be a repeat. I’m sorry, okay? Are you afraid of me now?”
Oriana stared at his dim and unclear eyes. She tiptoed and quickly kissed his thin lips.
“Nay, I’m not afraid of you. Mr. Armstead, I’ve gotten use to you if I may say. I’m really not afraid of you anymore.”
Oriana’s eyes were clear, clean and beautiful. There contained zero fear for Deacon. There were just filled with love and care for him.
Deacon reached out and pulled her into his embrace. He tightened his strong arms and held her tightly. His thin lips fell on her forehead.
“Oriana, I’ll definitely get better.”
Oriana felt her heart skip a beat. She echoed in her heart,
“You will be cured, no matter the cost!”
Oriana placed her hands on his chest she said softly,
“Mr. Armstead, let’s make a deal. The next time that you’re angry, you’re not allowed to mention the word divorce, and you’re not allowed to leave me. Some words are not allowed. And I need you to know that I won’t run away with another man, I want only you.”
Deacon narrowed his eyes and kissed her long hair.
“Me too, I don’t want anyone but you.”
They both stayed in each other’s arms for a while. Oriana suddenly pushed him backwards and muttered,
“Come here, I’ll treat the wound on your hand.”
Oriana went to the drawer, she took out the first aid box, and took out a methylated spirit and cotton wool. She grabbed his right hand and cleansed the wound with it, as she fixed her gaze on his face.
“Don’t you look just handsome? Next time why don’t you smash the wall? I wanna see if you can smash the wall and create a ho le in it.”
Deacon shook his head lightly and let out a smile.
Once she was done wrapping his hand with a bandage, Oriana placed the first aid box back in the drawer.
“Mr. Armstead, go and have a shower. I’ll clean up here.”
“Are you sure?”
“Of course I am. I can clean anywhere. You can take a shower with one hand, right? Just raise the injured hand and make sure that it doesn’t touch the water.” Oriana explained soothingly.
Deacon kissed her face and suddenly whispered into her ears,
“Did I hurt you just now?”
Oriana immediately understood what he was asking about. A while ago, he had taken off her pants in an attempt to check if she was still a virgin. Oriana pulled the towel and threw it on his face.
