Evie’s blows were fierce and unrelenting. Teresa stood in shock. Was Evie even human? How could she be so brutal? But Evie had trained in martial arts since childhood—handling someone like Kian was a breeze for her.

“Evie, stop!” Teresa tried to intervene, but Evie slapped her twice, causing her to back away in fear.

Once satisfied with the beating, Evie stood up from Kian, who was nearly unconscious. “Hmph, Kian, you better hope I never see you again!” she sneered. Then, turning to Teresa, she added, “And you, a fool and a liar. You’ll regret this.” With that, Evie turned and walked out.

Teresa’s eyes narrowed. Why had Evie called her a liar?

Kian groaned in pain, and Teresa quickly rushed to his side. “Kian, are you okay?”

“It hurts!” Kian gasped, touching his swollen, bruised face. “I won’t be disfigured, will I?”

He looked in the mirror and nearly fainted at the sight of his face. “Evie! You evil woman!” he shouted.

Teresa, equally distressed, promised, “Don’t worry, sweetheart. I’ll make sure Evie pays for what she’s done.”

Kian’s facial injury rendered him unable to attend any upcoming events. As a result, Teresa had to assign the remaining projects to Carsten. The next day, Isabella heard about the situation. For her, things had worked out well—Carsten, who had previously lacked support from the company, now had the opportunity. However, the office was buzzing with gossip, especially about how Kian had ended up with such a bad facial injury. When someone asked Teresa about it, she just scoffed, offering no explanation.

After a long day, Isabella made her way to the parking lot, only to find Evie crouched down beside her car, visibly upset. “What’s going on with you?” she asked.

Through her tears, Evie responded, “Isabella, I’m in such a bad place…” Her face was worn out, as if she hadn’t slept in days. Dark circles shadowed her eyes, adding to her exhausted appearance.

Isabella quickly helped her to her feet and got her settled in the car. “Isabella, I feel awful!” Evie cried, clinging to her.

Seeing Evie in such distress, Isabella felt a sharp pang of sympathy. Despite Evie’s cheerful exterior, she was sincere and loved deeply. “I know it hurts to be betrayed, but it’s better to know he’s trash now than after you’re married.”

“Isabella, let’s go to a bar!” Evie suggested, still in tears. Seeing how upset she was, Isabella agreed without hesitation. They headed to Nightfall Bar, a popular spot nearby. Once inside a private room, Evie ordered a variety of drinks and started messaging someone on her phone.

Soon, a group of men entered and lined up in front of them. The Nightfall Bar manager grinned and said, “These are our top male companions. Take your pick—who do you fancy?”

Isabella was caught off guard. She hadn’t expected Evie to actually arrange for male companions. But to her surprise, the men were quite impressive, each with their own unique charm. They weren’t the sleazy types she had imagined, prompting her to take a second look.

“Isabella, which one catches your eye?” Evie asked excitedly. “You get first pick.”

“I think I’ll sit this one out,” Isabella replied, not eager to join in.

“Oh, don’t be like that, Isabella! We’re here to have fun, so don’t hold back!” Evie teased before dramatically waving her hand. “We’ll take them all!” The manager, thrilled by the large order, grinned widely. “Certainly! If you need anything, just call me.”

With that, he left the room. The eight male companions, each with their own unique style, were divided up. Evie chose four to drink with them, two to sing, and the remaining two to dance. It turned into quite a spectacle.

The men were courteous, only sharing drinks and maintaining a respectful distance. Isabella noticed that one of the companions looked particularly young, around seventeen or eighteen, with a somewhat naive expression. His features were clean-cut and attractive. She asked, “You’re quite young—why are you working here?”

The young man responded quietly, “My father has a gambling problem, and my mother is ill. We’re in financial trouble, and I didn’t have any other options…”

“Oh, I see,” Isabella murmured sympathetically.

At first, Isabella had viewed the companions with skepticism, but they turned out to be professional and skilled. Their singing and dancing were impressive.

As the night wore on, Evie became more and more engrossed in the fun, eventually joining the dance floor. She seemed to have let go of all her worries, her carefree attitude making Isabella smile. Isabella, feeling tipsy herself, was beginning to enjoy the evening.

Suddenly, her phone buzzed with an incoming call from Andrew.

“Isabella, stop fiddling with your phone and come dance with us!” Evie called, grabbing her by the arm. When she noticed Andrew’s name on the screen, she immediately ended the call. “This isn’t the time for phone calls. We don’t need my brother ruining our fun.”

But just as she hung up, the phone rang again—it was a video call from Andrew.

“It might be important,” Isabella said, answering the call.

On the other end, Andrew, dressed in a sharp suit, looked both authoritative and concerned. He immediately noticed the lively background and asked, “Are you at a bar?”

“Yeah,” Isabella replied casually.

“Would you like another drink, miss?” the young male companion asked softly, leaning in.

Isabella waved him away. “Later,” she said.

Andrew’s expression darkened upon hearing the male voice. “Who’s that with you?” he asked, his tone sharp.

Taken aback and unsure how to explain, Isabella was about to respond when Evie, slightly drunk, snatched the phone. “Andrew, we’re at a bar having drinks! Stop bothering us!” she shouted.

From his end, Andrew could see the male companions dancing in the background. His expression grew cold as he fixed his gaze on Evie. “Do you have a death wish?”

Normally, such a tone from Andrew would have made Evie nervous, but in her current state, she defiantly replied, “Nope! I’m having too much fun!” With that, she ended the call and dragged Isabella onto the dance floor.

Caught up in the excitement, Isabella quickly forgot about the call and lost herself in the music. The two danced and partied the night away, as if there were no tomorrow.

The next morning, sunlight gently streamed into the bedroom. When Isabella awoke, a throbbing headache greeted her. As she took in her familiar surroundings, she felt a bit disoriented. She remembered being at a bar the night before, but how had she gotten home?

Isabella shook her head, trying to push away the headache and the confusion. She decided not to dwell on it for now. After freshening up, she went downstairs for breakfast. Elaine and Dane looked up as she entered the dining room.

“Good morning, Mom, Dane,” Isabella greeted them with a cheerful smile. But noticing their strange expressions, she asked, “Is something wrong? Is there something on my face?”

“Nothing at all. Are you hungry? Please, have breakfast,” Elaine replied warmly, though her tone seemed a bit off.

Isabella took her seat and began eating. As she ate, flashes of the previous night started coming back to her. She and Evie had drunk far too much, dancing wildly. In the middle of it all, the door had swung open, and Andrew had stormed in with a fierce expression, flanked by his bodyguards. The bodyguards had escorted Evie away, while Andrew had taken her to the car himself. Had Andrew brought her home?

As she lifted a piece of bread to her mouth, it slipped from her fingers. Everything suddenly made sense—Elaine and Dane’s strange expressions, Andrew’s appearance at the bar…

With a hint of apprehension, she asked, “Mom, how did I get back last night?”

Elaine and Dane exchanged uneasy glances before Elaine replied, “Andrew drove you home. Did you have a disagreement with him?”

“No, not at all,” Isabella replied, feeling a pang of guilt. She knew that being seen at a bar with male companions was far worse than simply having a disagreement with Andrew.

“Andrew just made a fuss,” Dane chimed in. “A little drinking isn’t a big deal. I often drink with clients, but it’s important to have someone trustworthy with you when you do. Do you understand?”

“Yes, I was with a friend, but I might have overdone it,” Isabella admitted softly.

“Just be more cautious in the future,” Dane advised.

“Will do.”

After finishing her breakfast in thoughtful silence, Isabella checked her phone and saw a message from Andrew:

“Don’t drink so much in the future, and avoid drinking with Evie.”

He followed up with another message:

“Take care of yourself when I’m not around. Otherwise, I’ll be worried about you.”

Isabella had expected Andrew to be upset, but his concern surprised her. A wave of guilt washed over her. She quickly responded, “I understand. Thank you.”

Andrew replied, “Have you gotten up from bed?”

“Yes, I’ve just finished breakfast and am heading to work now,” she texted back.

“Okay,” he responded.

Relieved by Andrew’s calm reaction, Isabella sighed, grateful for his understanding nature. However, she had no idea something bigger was unfolding online.

Meanwhile, at Andrew’s place, Evie was locked in her room, pounding on the door. “Andrew, I’m so sorry. Please let me out. Please…” she pleaded. Regret and fear overwhelmed her. Andrew had locked her in the room to reflect on her actions, and now Evie was beside herself with worry. She shouted for a while, but no one responded. Eventually, she sank to the floor in despair.

Reflecting on her words to Andrew the night before, she muttered to herself, “I’m in deep trouble this time. Andrew won’t let me off easily.”

Feeling defeated, Evie pulled out her phone to distract herself. She began scrolling through the trending topics, and her eyes widened in shock.

“Evie seduced Kian.”

“Kian has a girlfriend.”
