I have him move around as I slowly get the splinters out of his body. “What about Brady?” “Dead,” he says. “So, that’s it then? Our enemies have all been defeated?” “Yes, our enemies have all been defeated. For now. It’s always a possibility that others will come and take their place, but for now,…

Yara looks up from Carson’s leg to look at Eva. “When’s the last time you slept?” She shrugs. “T’ve slept some.” “When’s the last time you ate?” Yara continues. Eva looks around. “What time is it.” “Go get some food, Warrior,” I say to her. She shakes her head. “I want to hear what you…

I stood by the pyres as they burned. The warriors, exhausted and overwhelmed with frustration and pain at losing more friends and family, didn’t stay long. Alpha Warren and Beta Charlie stayed longer, and the desperation coming from both of them was palpable. We were being killed off too quickly and our doctor wasn’t doing…

“Yes, Carson!” Laney encourages him. I watch for a little bit longer then I get a mind link from Noelle. ‘Alpha, I think you need to come to the pack hospital.’ I turn and begin walking as I respond. ‘What’s going on? Is everything alright? Is Yara alright?’ ‘I’m pretty sure she’s in labor, Alpha,…

I’m trying to follow what she’s doing, but she’s moving fast. “Hold on,” she says and walks out of the room. She’s back a moment later, strapping a heart monitor to my stomach. When she turns it on, I hear my baby’s heartbeat. But then I frown. “Savannah?” I ask, wondering if she’s hearing what…

I give her a quick kiss, letting her calm settle into my mind. She’s right, I have other things I need to focus on before I can give all of my time and attention to my mate and our pups. “You still need to eat,” I tell her. “Agreed. If you’ll get me some food,…

“Put them down, but don’t kill them. Alpha Harold and I will deal with them.” I answer a few more questions, and Harold does as well. Then we divide into our four groups and head to our locations. This time, I’m in the truck. I have Harold, Charlie, and Franklin on conference call. We begin…

I open the door and let her in as Noelle finishes stitching some of his smaller injuries from the wood chips. I watch Eva square her shoulders and walk over to Carson. “Now you listen to me, Carson Row. You don’t get to leave me…” I smile and step out of the room. I have…

“Oh, Alpha. I’m so thankful you finally found me! Alpha Brady kidnapped me…” Dr. Stephens begins. “The fuck you say?” Brady demands from his own spot on the floor. “You sniveling little twit. I should have killed you like Quinton said. You’re not even a good doctor.” “Don’t listen to him! He’s just trying to…

“Your Luna…” she scoffs again. “Yes, my Luna. Maybe you’ve heard of her. Her name is Yara. She came from this pack. She’s the reason that your Alpha and all of your warriors are dead. He came after our Alpha’s mate. He didn’t care how many of his warriors got killed and, in the end,…
