Discussions surrounding Emma did not reduce at all. In fact, she continued to be even more popular than actors that appeared often on variety shows and TV.

It appeared, she always had more surprises up her sleeves. So, her fans were filled with anticipation for what was to come. They especially couldn’t wait for ‘W.H.’ and ‘The Lost Relative’ to start screening. As a result, the coming year was expected to be very rewarding for Emma.
But, no one would have imagined that behind-the-scenes she was surrounded by a load of schemes and calculations.
Eric had said before that he was going to let the Miller Family know about the situation with Elodie. So, while Emma was resting, Eric made a phone call to Bertha, “Mom…I need your assistance with something.”
“Speak up. No need to be so polite,” Bertha was well aware that Eric absolutely doted on Emma, so her attitude towards Eric was warmer than if he was her own son.
“Could you please bring grandfather to Bridge Side Hospital tomorrow around noon, but don’t let Elodie know.”
Bertha could roughly guess what Eric was up to, so she quickly agreed, “I’ll think of something.”
“OK, I’ll leave it with you.”
“Are Emma and my grandchild healthy? Why is Emma still filming when she is pregnant?”
“Don’t worry, everything’s fine. I’ve got my eye on her on set.”
Hearing Eric say this, Bertha sighed, “Don’t just focus on taking care of Emma, you also need to take care of yourself. Taking care of Kaleidoscope has always been tiring in itself, yet you now need to deal with Emma’s stubbornness…”
Eric chuckled as he continued to chat to Bertha for a good 20-30 minutes. He suddenly felt like he and Emma’s families had been fl*pped around.
Elder Roberts felt like he and Emma were on the same page, while Bertha cared about Eric more than she did for Emma.
However, upon returning to the bedroom and seeing Emma fast asleep on their bed, he felt nothing else in the world mattered. Because the woman he loved the most, was in his arms.

After receiving Eric’s request, Bertha wracked her brain for a way to take Elder Miller to the hospital without Elodie knowing.
Because Elder Miller’s heart ached over the suffering that Elodie had received at her in-law’s, the grandfather-granddaughter duo did not leave each other’s side even for a second.
Bertha understood that the old man felt hopeful because of the arrival of a new life…but Elodie had never been one with pure motives…
After careful thought, she finally decided to ask for help from one of the shareholders by asking him to invite Elder Miller for a meeting.
Elodie was by Elder Miller’s side at the time that he received the phone call. After his phone call, she smiled and asked, “Grandfather, what kind of meeting is it? Can I come along?”
“Of course you can…but, it might be a bit tedious,” Elder Miller replied cheerfully, “The meeting will be at an equestrian field.”
Elodie thought about her options for a second. She was pregnant, so it was necessary to be extra careful. Plus, judging by Elder Miller’s reaction, the meeting did not seem like anything important; it was but a mere catch up for the old men. So, she thought it was best if she avoided any situations that may put her at risk.
“Grandfather, I think if it’s best if I don’t go.” She was originally meant to deliver money to Doctor Benedict anyway, so this was her perfect opportunity.
“Yes I agree, the equestrian field can be quite dangerous. Just stay at home and don’t frighten my grandchild.”
Elodie was not prepared for what was to come, because there was no way that she could have guessed that this was a show put on by Bertha and the shareholder. Even if she had followed along, the shareholder would have found a way to shake her off.
Bertha was, after all, in control of Miller Corps.. If she couldn’t think of such a simple plan, she would not be worthy of her position as CEO.
However, she still did not know what plan Eric had brewing and the show that would play out the next day.
After confirming that her plan was flawless, Bertha messaged Eric about her success. Meanwhile, Eric notified Amias that he’d borrow Emma at noon for a little while and promised he would not delay the filming in the afternoon.
Since it was time for him to make a move, he was going to secure a seat for his wife to sit comfortably and enjoy the show.
Elodie was oblivious as she arrived at the cafe that her and Doctor Benedict had previously met at. She picked the same seat to sit down at, as it was quiet and hidden.
“You still remember what to say in a minute?” Luke reconfirmed with Doctor Benedict as he monitored the cafe from his car.
“Yes,” Doctor Benedict nodded her head enthusiastically. Just as she was about to step out of the car, she turned around and checked one more time, “If I do as you say, will you really let me go?”
“You have my word,” Luke replied in seriousness.
After hearing Luke’s response, Doctor Benedict pushed open the car door, forced herself to look calm, and walked towards the cafe.
“You’re here,” Elodie did not notice any change in Doctor Benedict. As soon as Doctor Benedict sat down, she handed her a bag, “I have put the full cash amount in here. Have a count, and if it is correct, we will seal the deal and pretend we never met.”
Doctor Benedict received the bag and looked inside. It was packed full of cash, but unfortunately, she wouldn’t be able to keep any of it.
Elodie thought everything was over, so she stood up to leave, but Doctor Benedict suddenly spoke up and held her back, “Miss Elodie, may I ask you a question?”
“What is it?” Elodie turned around and raised an eyebrow questioningly, “Is the amount incorrect?”
“I want to know if you were the one that came up with the idea of removing Emma’s uterus. Did you really want to see Emma suffer that badly?”
“What has this got to do with you?” Elodie asked with suspicion.
Doctor Benedict opened her mouth but didn’t know what to say. However, a moment later, Elodie smiled. She was in a good mood, so she decided to reply, “She’s an actress. What use does she have with a child? Removing her uterus is a good thing. I’m doing it for her own good.”
Hearing this response, sent chills down Doctor Benedict’s spine…
Although she had done many immoral things for the sake of money, this was the first time she had seen someone hurt their own sister in such a way.
Instead of taking her life, she took her uterus!
Elodie was pleased with the surprised look on Doctor Benedict’s face as she turned around and left the cafe proudly. After she left, Doctor Benedict removed the pinhole camera hooked to the front of her ch*st and watched as Luke entered the cafe and sat opposite her.
