After roughly two seconds of silence, Eric handed the phone to Emma, “It’s grandfather.”
Emma was nervous at first, but she still ended up receiving the phone from Eric’s hand, “Grandfather.”
“Silly girl,” as soon as Elder Roberts heard Emma’s voice, he could tell that she had been crying. His heart naturally softened, “Are you OK?”
“I’m fine,” Emma replied.
“Don’t worry about the ridiculous news that is going around. Let me tell you this old man’s standpoint right now. It is true that I hope for a grandchild, but I am not close-minded. Anything could happen in one’s lifetime. I will not let outsiders influence my imp**ssion of you. I have eyes and can make my own judgment. You understand?”
After hearing the old man’s words, Emma felt her tears seep out of her eyes. In an instant, her heart overflowed with emotions.
“Thank you, grandfather.”

I’ll keep an eye on the set for you.” Elder Roberts did not like to dwell on things, so as soon as their conversation was over, he swiftly hung up. Afterwards, Emma looked at Eric with her teary eyes.
“Did grandfather scold you?”
“I wish he did,” Emma sat up and hugged Eric. “Grandfather gave me strength and encouragement. Hubby, I really don’t know how much good karma I’ve saved up to have married you and gained such a great family.”
Eric gently patted her back as he relaxed his originally tensed brows, “He finally did something right.”
Emma laughed and cried. In the end, she finally calmed down in Eric’s arms. “I trust that Eric will take good care of you. You behave and listen to him, OK?” Bertha reminded.

The last person to call was Jordyn. It seemed, anyone that had anything to do with Emma was truly concerned about her. Even her one-time enemy, Curtison, who had started a new life working for a photo studio, couldn’t help but stick up for her after he saw the news.
