She ignored it, went straight into her room and locked the door.
Once she was gone, Serena emerged from the shadows, her face twisted in anger! David was playing favorites! He had taken so many intimate pictures with Mirabella! Was Mirabella really that pretty? To her, Mirabella was just a country bumpkin! David had even planned Mirabella’s post–graduation path for her. It was infuriating! Not long after, Serena’s phone lit up with a hot news alert.

He was standing on a beautiful terrace, looking out into the night. Even though he was alone, eagle–eyed fans had spotted another girl’s shadow in the picture!
The girl must have been taking the picture, her shadow elongated by the light. Even though it was only a small portion, the fans had noticed!
Thus, the hashtag #DavidSuspectedinLove also made it to the trending list!
At this moment, David returned to his bedroom, and shared two songs his sister had given him with his manager and music team.
Everyone was full of praise after listening.
“This is definitely Melody’s work! It’s her style, for sure!”
“This is what I call a good song! This is what I call amazing!”
“Those songwriters are nothing compared to her!”
“It’s written so well. I’m totally blown away! This talent, this atmosphere, I can’t think of anyone else but Melody who could create this!” His manager couldn’t help but ask, “You didn’t use your charm to get these songs, did you?”
They had just been rejected by Melody tonight, and in a blink of an eye, Melody had given David two songs. That didn’t make sense!!
“Hahahaha!” David couldn’t help but boast, “Surprised? These were a gift from Melody! Completely free!”

Everyone in the group was shocked. They all sent puzzled emojis and started questioning.
“Free?”
“How can it be free?”
“Probably spent too much and felt embarrassed to say it, right?”
“Come on. We are prepared for it!”

“No, considering this quality, at least 30 million dollars??”

David proudly said in the group: “From my own sister, for free!”

Now, the group was even more shocked. After a long questioning session, they confirmed that David wasn’t lying, Melody really was his own sister!

The next morning.
David saw Hans’s reply, “Buzz off.”
The usually restrained Hans actually cursed someone, and David was in high spirits. After freshening up, just about to step onto the balcony to breathe in some fresh air, he suddenly saw a man holding Bella’s hand at the front door!
Unable to make out the man’s face from a distance, David didn’t think twice and dashed out.
“Let go of my sister! Who the heck are you? Who gave you the balls to hold my sister’s hand at my front door?”
David quickly stepped forward, about to throw a punch, but was easily stopped by Romeo McMillian.
“Romeo?” Seeing his friend, David immediately halted, then looked at Mirabella’s hand in Romeo’s hold and instantly said, “Hold on, that’s my sister!”

He looked like he was protecting a small animal, “My sister just got home. Don’t you dare have any weird ideas about her! Or I won’t let you off easy!”
“I already have.”
“What did you say?” David widened his eyes, thinking he must have heard wrong.
“It’s Saturday today, I’m taking Bella somewhere.”
Bella?
David held Mirabella even tighter. Feeling puzzled. He instinctively asked, “Are you two close?”
Did they have such a close relationship??
“Bella is my fiancée now.”
That sentence was like a bolt from the blue, leaving David stunned for two seconds.
“Bella is your fiancée?”
Right, the Collins family and the McMillian family had a marriage agreement. If Serena weren’t the real heiress, then the person engaged to Romeo would be Bella!
“But Bella just got home, and she’s only eighteen this year, and hasn’t even started college yet. You sly fox are actually using the marriage agreement as an excuse to hassle my sister. Did you ask for my opinion as her brother?“.
After saying that, he brandished his fist, clearly a warning.
Romeo looked at him and casually asked, “Are your fists that good?”
This tone, this attitude, it’s too insulting!
David clenched his fists even tighter, “You’re welcome to try!”
“Bella, stand back. I’m going to spar with your brother.”
“You cocky jerk, how dare you underestimate me!” David rolled up his sleeves, ready to throw down with him, suddenly noticing that Romeo’s muscles were perfectly defined, probably twice his strength, showing he worked out regularly!
“What’s the matter? Scared?” Romeo looked at David’s nervous expression and felt even better.
“Whoever gets scared is a grandson!”
Just as David was about to enter, Mirabella suddenly said, “Bro, Romeo’s been quite nice to me, don’t hit him.”
David thought he must have misheard and turned back in disbelief to look at his sister, “Bella, are you sticking up for him? He’s just good at sweet–talking girls! Who isn’t nice to girls? Just saying some sweet nothings, taking you out, giving you some small gifts, and,”
Mirabella looked clear–eyed and asked seriously, “Hmm?”
David swallowed hard, not daring to speak directly. That’s exactly how she get tricked!
In short, he was protecting Bella as a brother, pointing at that man and saying, “You old cunning fox, I was just away for a while, and you already tricked my sister! I warn you. My father will punish you!”
Although he knew he couldn’t punish himself, he believed his father would!
Romeo was still young, after all, and he wouldn’t dare to lay a hand on an elder! So, he could only obediently accept his punishment!
“Your dad’s quite chuffed with me.”
“What the hell are you on about?” David Collins was incredulous. “How could my dad possibly agree? Right, Bella?”

David was shocked “Dad really agreed?”

“My brother was back in town a while ago. You didn’t get a thrashing from him, did you? I gonna tell that to my big brother, so he could come back and give you a good beating” David threatened him with his brother.
“My brother approved too, he even invited me for a meal next time.”
“No way!”
His brother was such a hard nut to crack. How could he possibly agree to let some random guy be with Bella?
They hadn’t seen each other for just a few days, and this guy’s lying skills were through the roof!
“I don’t have time for this nonsense.” Romeo checked his watch, then looked tenderly at Mirabella. “Bella, let’s go.”
As Mirabella was about to go, David grabbed her. “Bella, you’re not going anywhere with him today. I’m taking you shopping!”
He refused to believe that Bella would choose this guy over her own brother!
But the next second, Mirabella said, “I already promised Romeo; can we go shopping another time?”
“You, promised him?” David hadn’t expected Mirabella to have accepted Romeo’s invitation. “Even if you did promise, you can cancel it!gnore him! I finally have two days off; do you really want to leave me at home to be nagged by mom?”
