Mirabella then looked at Julian, who didn’t dare to hide anything, and said, “A male employee wrote a love letter to you, Ms. Bella, through email. The boss saw it, scolded him a bit, and transferred him to another subsidiary.”

Hans was even managing this?

Mirabella was a bit surprised.

“He also warned everyone, saying that you’re young, and anyone who isn’t focusing on their work and keeps thinking about nonsense, the company won’t keep them. This scared everyone, and they quickly got back to work.”

Mirabella thought, and now other employees will probably think Hans has feelings for her. This misunderstanding might be hard to clear up in the future.

“Dean, if anyone else causes such chaos, report it to me directly.” Hans said.

Dean, being named, was taken aback, then quickly replied, “Don’t worry, Mr. McMillan already warned them; I’ve blocked quite a few unwanted suitors for Ms. Bennett!”

Hans thought, Even Romeo was managing this? He’s really on top of things..

“Rest assured, Mr. Collins, with your and Mr. McMillan’s instructions, I won’t let even the most basic suitors get any chances. I will definitely stop them!” Dean promised.

Hearing this, Hans felt a little better. “I should get back to the headquarters.”

Just as Mirabella was about to agree, Dean hurriedly said, “Mr. Collins, aren’t you staying for lunch with Ms. Bennett? You rarely have time to come here; why don’t you try the food in the new cafeteria?”

“Alright.” Hans agreed.

At high noon, the restaurant staff nearly dropped their utensils in shock when they saw Hans and Mirabella strut in together.

Mr. Collins still hasn’t left the company? He’s still eating lunch with Ms. Bennett?

Did he really have a thing for Ms. Bennett, just like the rumors suggest?

But there’s at least a six- or seven–year age gap between them!

Was this a classic case of an older guy chasing after a younger girl?

“He seems really gentle when he’s chatting with Ms. Bennett.”

Hans leaned in to listen to Mirabella, gave a nod, said a few words to the cafeteria staff, and then helped Mirabella with her food. He took it to the table first, letting her sit and wait.

“Mr. Collins is such a gentleman! Helping Ms. Bennett with her food before getting his own. No trouble at all.”

“Bella!!”

At this point, Molly, who had just gotten her food, saw Mirabella sitting alone at the table. She joyfully carried her tray and sat next to her. “Why are you alone? Did Mr. Collins leave?”

No sooner had she said this than she saw Hans approaching them with his tray.

“Mr. Collins?” Molly was surprised. “Did I take your seat? Sorry, I’ll just”

“It’s okay; let’s eat together.”

Hans sat across from Mirabella, wiped his hands with a sanitizing wipe, and began peeling shrimp.

“Mr. Collins, do you like shrimp too? Just like Bella, you guys both love seafood.”

“I’m peeling them for her.” Hans placed the peeled shrimp one by one on Mirabella’s plate and said, “Eat up; I ordered all these dishes for you.”

None of the dishes he liked were ordered.

“Bella, your brother is so good to you.” Molly couldn’t help but say, “Mr. Collins, you should try our cafeteria food. Ever since Bella revamped the cafeteria, the food here is so much better. Fresh, delicious, and cheap!”

“Really?” Hans placed the peeled shrimp into Mirabella’s bowl and said, “I’ll give it a try later.”

He turned to Mirabella and gave her a small smile, saying, “Your staff speaks highly of you.”

“Molly is my good friend, not just a staff member.”

Their relationship had already surpassed that of boss and employee.

“Well, invite your good friend over to our place sometime.” Having finished peeling the shrimp, Hans added a piece of meat to Mirabella’s bowl.

“You should eat too.” Mirabella was worried his food would get cold.

“Just seeing you enjoy your food makes me happy, and it increases my appetite. I’ll surely eat more than you later.”

Hans didn’t stop what he was doing; instead, he said, “I might come back late from this trip abroad. Take care of yourself and go shopping or watch movies with your good friend when you’re bored. All expenses are on me. If there’s anything you can’t handle, call me.”

“Okay.” Mirabella responded and ordered a steak for Hans, urging him to eat.

Hans’s eyes softened; his little sister was ordering food for him! That’s a treatment no other brother got!

Suddenly, he felt like creating a chat group just to show off to everyone else.

“I’ll be back to keep you company soon.” Hans said after finishing his meal, “Your brother David will be back in a few days. He’s blunt, so if he unintentionally hurts you or makes you feel wronged, tell me. I’ll sort him out.”

When Molly heard the news, she was freaked out big time Mr Collins’s kindness and strictness were all too real, they were beyond imagination!

He could scold his own brother without any hesitation, that was simply horrifying!

“David is coming back?” Mirabella was a bit surprised

“Yeah, not sure when, though, don’t bother about him” Hans put some fish onto Mirabella’s plate, thinking to himself, No more chances to help his sister from now on, David really hit the jackpot!

“That’s too much, I can’t finish it‘ Mirabella didn’t want him to add more to her plate. “If you’re not eating, neither am I.”

“Okay Seeing the shrimps were mostly peeled, Hans wiped his hands with a disinfectant wipe and said, “I’ll wash my hands first, then I’ll add some soup for you, then I’ll eat”

After Hans left, Molly couldn’t help but nudge Mirabella with her elbow: “Oh my God, I’ve never seen Mr. Collins this gentle before. Bella, you’re so lucky to have such a good big brother, he defended you in front of everyone last time, and now he’s peeling shrimp for you. I wish I had a big brother like that!”

“Your mom is good to you too, isn’t she?” Mirabella gently smiled; this kind of affection and care from family was something she hadn’t experienced in the Melton family for eighteen years, except for a bit of warmth from Grannie Grace.

The employees around were all discussing:

“Mr. Collins must like Ms. Bennett! I bet ten bucks!”

“Some colleague wrote a love letter to Ms. Bennett in an email this morning; he was immediately transferred to another subsidiary after Mr. Collins found out! Isn’t that enough to prove Mr. Collins’s feelings?”

“Yes, it’s all so obvious; I can’t wait to see their sweet moments!”

“Will the company give us a day off if they get married?”

“So jealous of Ms. Bennett, I wish Mr. Collins would be that gentle with me.”

Hans brought a bowl of soup to Mirabella, shared a lot of his food with her, and then started eating.

Halfway through, he suddenly asked, “Bella, do you have a favorite flower?”

“Flower?” Mirabella was taken aback. “Marigold, I guess.”

What was he asking for?

“Shall I have someone plant marigolds around your balcony?

This way, when he’s abroad, she would think of him when she saw these flowers.

He’s afraid she’ll forget him when her other brothers come back!

Mirabella had no idea what he was thinking; she just nodded, “Okay.”
