The world spun wildly as a wave of pleasure crashed through her hot, tingly body. She sagged against the table, conscious of nothing but Ryan’s cock burrowed deep inside her and Olivia’s hands pinching her wrists.

“Mia?”

Oh, sure, now Ryan says my name and includes me in the conversation. Although it didn’t sound like Ryan. It sounded more like . . .

“Jake?” She turned her head toward the door that led to the attic. Jake stood in the doorway, his hands on his hips. He was frowning.

“Mia, what the hell is going on here?”

Jake rubbed his hand over his eyes. The sight before him was a hell of thing to wake up to first thing in the morning.

Mia was naked and sprawled on the kitchen table. He saw the bites and whisker burn on her breasts, and he couldn’t miss her tight nipples. Her eyes shone with desire, and he inhaled the musk of sex.

Jake was instantly rock-hard. He wanted to pounce, push aside Ryan and Olivia, and take Mia before she drew her next breath. It was difficult not to follow his instincts.

He was surprised to see Olivia playing a part in all of this. Her pink face looked so innocent and sweet, but seeing her hold down Mia’s wrists stirred something dark in his soul. He wondered what naughty things she had been whispering in Mia’s ear.

Ryan had been ramming into Mia so hard that the table shook. Mia had loved every minute of it, meeting each thrust with the wild buck of her hips.

And not once did they think he might have wanted to be included. Did they think, Hey, let’s wake up Jake and see if he wants to join. Hell, all they had to say was “group sex,” and he would be wide-eyed and jumping out of bed.

But they didn’t think of him. A sharp pang bloomed in his chest, and he absently rubbed it away with his knuckles. God, he hated that most of all. He knew what it was like to be invisible and ignored. Forgotten. It was what he did best.

Olivia guiltily dropped her friend’s wrists as if they burned to the touch. “Mia,” she said, her voice rising with concern, “I thought you told him.”

“Told him what?” Ryan asked, giving one final thrust into Mia’s pussy as he looked at Jake. “We just decided.”

Normally Jake would have enjoyed watching Olivia and Mia get caught in their own trap, but this morning was different. They hadn’t included him. Did Mia even think of him? He kept his gaze locked on hers.

“Jake, what’s the big deal?” Mia asked. Ryan carefully withdrew from her, and she sat up.

“You’re having sex with another man while I’m under the same roof.”

“Oh, please,” Mia said as she rubbed her wrists. “Don’t get all he-man about it. It’s so not you.”

Jake glowered at her. How would she liked it if she woke up and discovered him having sex with another woman? She would have liked to have been informed. No, she would have expected to be invited.

It didn’t matter if they weren’t an exclusive couple; Mia wouldn’t take it too kindly. In fact, there would be lots of screaming and drama.

Mia made a face at his brooding silence. “Don’t you remember? Once we talked about swapping, in theory” – she gave Ryan a quick look – “and you agreed.”

He clearly remembered that conversation. Mia had asked if he would do it but didn’t wait for an answer. A part of him was pleased that she could rely on him, but he didn’t like being taken completely for granted.

When Mia had told him that Olivia had agreed, she had assumed he would go along. And, really, when had he ever refused her?

“I never agreed with you,” he said softly, letting each word hit its mark. He had, however, agreed with Ryan when they came up with their strategy. But she didn’t know that.

“Yes, you did. You said . . .” Her eyes widened when she mentally rewound to that morning in bed. “Oh . . . shit.”

Jake looked away and saw Ryan’s smirk. The other guy knew what he was up to. This was his chance for Mia to really think about what he wanted. But if Mia caught on that he was putting her through the paces, he would be in big trouble. Jake decided it was a good time to retreat and walked back up to the attic.

As he climbed the stairs, he decided that if they were going to swap, everyone had to be an equal partner. That didn’t mean everyone had to dominate his or her new lover. It meant that each person got a chance to live out a fantasy.

And he wasn’t going to be left on the sidelines or have his needs ignored. Mia and Olivia had come up with the plan without any thought of what Ryan or he wanted. He never thought of them as greedy or thoughtless, but it was amazing what one wild sexual encounter could do to a person.

Jake headed straight for Mia’s bathroom and closed the door, but didn’t lock it. He turned on the shower, waiting for the water to heat, and stripped off his jeans, the only piece of clothing he had put on when he had woken up, hearing Mia’s cries of pleasure.

Mia knocked on the bathroom door, but he ignored her. He really had made it too easy for Mia. He gave her whatever she wanted, whenever she needed it. Did she ever stop to think what he wanted? Did she try to get it for him?

He wasn’t surprised when Mia cracked open the door. The woman couldn’t handle being ignored. She stopped from swinging the door open. It was as if she realized he hadn’t said she could come in. Well, she was learning. He’d give her that.

And for the next four days, he needed to learn how to be greedy. It was time to make demands, create expectations.

Mia didn’t have to agree or follow them. Knowing her, she would refuse loudly. She didn’t have to do anything but listen. If she didn’t like it, it was no big deal. She was leaving him soon.

He wondered if that was what bothered him so much. For the past few weeks, he had felt like he was slowly being shut out of Mia’s life. Whether she had done it intentionally or by accident didn’t matter. It was her way of cutting ties.

She poked her head into the bathroom. “Jake?”

He knew he shouldn’t complain or make a scene. He had wanted to part on a positive note. No, that wasn’t totally true. He had been on his best behavior so she’d invite him along.

Now he knew that was the wrong tactic. She was leaving him in four days, and there was nothing he could do to change her mind. It was time to say goodbye to her. He needed to create some memories and move on.

“Jake!” Mia yelled over the sound of the shower.

He turned toward the door, grabbed the doorknob, and swung it open. “What?”

She was as naked as he was. He should have been used to her voluptuous curves and golden skin, but her nudity packed a wallop every time.

His gaze traveled down her body. Mia loved the size of her breasts, and she had every right to be proud. She was more than a handful, and her large, dark nipples pointed up.

She might curse her hips every time she tried to buy clothes, but he thought she was just right. He could clutch onto her hips when he drove into her pussy or when she rode his cock. He couldn’t get enough of her lush ass.

She had a traditional hourglass figure, although he knew better than to tell her that. It was the perfect shape for a woman, but she refused to believe anything about her was old-fashioned.
