Polly hopped back and forth on the table, shouting, “Caw! Caw!”

With a final high-pitched shout, Polly kicked Tortoise off the table, as if bullying it because it couldn’t speak.

Fortunately, the table wasn’t high, and the floor was covered with carpets, so Tortoise’s shell didn’t break. Tortoise climbed a few steps and crouched at Lilly’s feet.

Pablo closed the booklet with a frown. “This parrot is so noisy.”

Lilly asked, “Master, is there any way to help Uncle Anthony fall asleep?”

Pablo, lying by the window, replied slowly, “Of course, there must be a way. Listen, you can buy these magical trinkets…”

Pablo thought Lilly wouldn’t remember, so he listed eleven magical trinkets in one breath.

Anyway, when Lilly went to buy them, he would have to repeat the names of those magical trinkets.

However, Lilly wrote down every word as she heard it and recounted them word for word on the paper.

Pablo was surprised. Does this kid have such a good memory? She can even write down their names!

He looked closely, only to see a mess of scribbles on the paper.

“What’s this?” Pablo’s mouth twitched.

Lilly pointed to the scribbles on the paper. “Master, you’re so silly! These are the magical trinkets!”

Pablo was speechless.

After Lilly finished drawing all the magical trinkets, she folded the paper and quickly ran outside.

“I’m going to find Uncle Anthony!”

Seeing Lilly leave, Polly flew off the floor and chased after her. Tortoise also followed slowly.

Pablo followed them, deep in thought.

Lilly ran to the study and happened to overhear the conversation inside. “Lilly’s father…”

Lilly froze. Are Grandpa and Uncle Anthony talking about Daddy? Are they trying to find Daddy and send me to Daddy?

Lilly pursed her lips and couldn’t help but grip the paper tightly.

Polly poked its head through the gap in the study and croaked, “Dad! Daddy!”

Anthony turned and saw Lilly standing at the door, lost in thought. She was holding a crumpled piece of paper.

“Lilly.” Anthony immediately approached and picked her up.

Lilly was on the verge of tears. “Uncle Anthony, are you sending me away?”

“No.” Anthony immediately denied it. “I’m just talking with your grandpa.”

Hugh softened his stern expression and comforted Lilly, “You’ll always be the little princess of the Crawford family. No one can take you away.”

Lilly remained silent while Anthony and Hugh exchanged glances.

Lilly was innocent and cute, but also clever. It wasn’t easy to fool her.

After thinking for a moment, Hugh explained, “Lilly, a man came to see you this morning. He said he was your father. His name is Blake MacNeil.”

Lilly was stunned. Do I really have a daddy with the last name MacNeil?

Anthony continued, “Lilly, he wants to meet you. But if you don’t want to see him, we can refuse him. Do you want to meet him?”

Both Anthony and Hugh looked at Lilly. For some reason, Hugh felt inexplicably nervous, especially when he remembered Blake, who looked like a crime boss.

Lilly thought for a moment, then replied, “Can I meet Daddy here?”

Looking at the uncertain Lilly, Anthony answered affirmatively, “Yes, you can.”

Lilly finally nodded. “Okay.”

…

In a military department, a meeting was in progress.

Blake lazily twirled a pen, and the black pen moved nimbly between his slender fingers.

“Blake, you need to resolve this matter.” One of the leaders said, turning his head and noticing Blake spinning a pen.

“Blake! Did you hear me?” The leader shouted.

Blake nodded. “I’ll take care of it within two days.”

Everyone was filled with doubt.

The leaders wondered if Blake had been listening to their conversation. The mission was in Miralaea this time, and it would take a day to fly there and back.

Furthermore, the mission was challenging; otherwise, the leaders would not have requested Blake to return from his vacation.

Blake inquired, “Are there any other questions?”

The leaders shook their heads helplessly.

“If there are no issues, I will be leaving. I am in a hurry.” Blake stood up and exited the meeting room while speaking.

His subordinate quickly apologized to the leaders before departing, feeling his palms becoming sweaty.

“Mr. MacNeil!” The subordinate chased after Blake.

Blake arrived at the arsenal, swiftly donned his equipment, and asked coldly, “What is it?”

The subordinate hesitated before saying, “Old Mrs. MacNeil’s 60th birthday is approaching. She requested someone to convey an invitation to you. Would you like to attend?”

Blake paused and sneered. “Inform them that I will go.”

That piece of the Medal of Honor belongs to my grandfather. It is time to retrieve it.

“By the way, send a message to my beloved Lilly. Ask her to come as well. As a father, I must seek justice for my daughter.”

The subordinate felt helpless. Blake had not yet met Lilly, so he was looking forward to the meeting.

…

Giuliana was trembling with excitement upon receiving the news. That God of Battle is currently the most popular figure! He wants to come and celebrate my birthday!

“Hurry, immediately assign someone to organize a grand banquet!”

Jerome stroked his gray beard and made a decision. “Davion, send out the invitations to wealthy and influential families right away!”

The God of Battle, Blake MacNeil, came to the MacNeil family to celebrate Giuliana’s birthday. Such news would undoubtedly make many people envious.

It was an excellent opportunity for them to establish connections and expand their network!

The entire MacNeil family was filled with excitement and joy.

However, one young man hesitated and asked, “Grandpa Jerome, don’t you find it strange that Chief MacNeil suddenly agreed to come?”

This young man, Rylee MacNeil, was the son of Jerome’s younger brother.

Rylee had come to Clodston to live with and be a part of the MacNeil family.

Jerome twirled his beard and responded nonchalantly, “We all share the MacNeil surname. It’s only natural for Chief MacNeil to come.”
