Chapter 101 – A Little Princess’s Journey from Darkness to Light Novel

Pablo nodded. “That’s correct. One of the conditions for the formation of a malevolent spirit is to be trapped in the place of death and relive the death process.”

Since Michael couldn’t leave that room, he constantly experienced despair before dying. He would gaze at the crack in the door, witnessing his parents’ arguments. He would call out desperately, but no one heard his faint cries for help.

His hopes turned into despair, and he suffered a painful death. Regret and hatred tormented him relentlessly, eventually transforming him into a malevolent spirit.

Lilly looked at Michael sympathetically and felt sorry for him.

“Michael, please enter the jar on your own. I won’t harm you,” Lilly said softly.

Pablo was about to tell Lilly that no matter how pitifully Michael died, he was inherently an evil malevolent spirit. However, Pablo was left speechless when he saw Michael nod and say, “Okay.”

Lilly raised her jar of souls again and exclaimed, “Michael, will you answer me when I call you?”

Michael suddenly smiled, vigorously nodded, and replied, “Yes.” He looked at Lilly with deep gratitude. It was the first time someone had given him candy, even in life or death.

A black shadow floated up and silently entered the jar of souls.

Pablo remained silent for a moment. In truth, Michael was also a kind and quiet child. Pablo shook his head slightly, wrote a few words in his notebook, and closed it.

Lilly shook the jar of souls and said happily, “Master, I think the jar is full!”

Pablo’s mouth twitched. “It’s still early!”

Lilly felt disappointed. “Huh? When will it be full?”

Pablo extended his hand, and a pen appeared out of thin air. He drew ten marks on the jar of souls, which was only the size of a fingernail.

Lilly’s eyes widened as Pablo explained, “Here, shake it. Do you see the color of the jar? It’s at the first mark now, and when it reaches ten marks, the jar of souls will be full.”

Lilly nodded happily. It doesn’t seem too difficult!

The commotion caught the attention of the waiter.

Lilly looked at the broken cups and suddenly became nervous. “Uncle Anthony…”

Anthony had witnessed Lilly capturing a ghost. Although he couldn’t see it, he was frightened enough.

He regained his composure and reassured Lilly. “It’s okay, don’t be afraid.” He would take care of everything!

Finally, a few waiters knocked on the door and entered, only to find a mess and Rebecca lying on the ground.

“Sir, what happened here…” They were taken aback.

Anthony maintained his composure and calmly explained, “My child was just playing around. Any objections?”

One of the waiters replied, “No, but…”

Anthony took out a card. “I’ll compensate you a hundred times over.”

He only needed to compensate for a few broken coffee cups. He had more than enough money to cover the cost.

“Uh…”

Anthony asked, “Any further questions?”

The waiter responded, “No problem! Then, what about this lady…”

Anthony interrupted, “Do you have nothing better to do than interfere with us?”

Another waiter quickly grabbed the speaking waiter and apologized to Anthony, “Sorry for the interruption.”

Soon, they departed. Money had resolved the issue flawlessly.

Lilly gazed at Anthony with admiration and expressed her gratitude. “Thank you, Uncle Anthony! You’re incredible!”

Being wealthy is wonderful! I also wish to solve problems with money!

…

Rebecca couldn’t recall how she made it home.

Her mind was buzzing, and Lilly had only informed her about a feeble spirit named Michael Owen that haunted her.

Now Lilly had captured that feeble spirit, but Rebecca still couldn’t stop trembling.

Rebecca turned on her phone, searched for Michael Owen, and eventually found news from ten years ago.

A group of individuals had bullied Michael on his way home from school. Due to his introverted nature, his parents were unaware of the incident until after his death. They had no idea that someone had struck their son to the point of internal bleeding.

Rebecca couldn’t help but shiver and instinctively clutched the jade necklace hanging around her neck.

“Aunt Rebecca, I’ve already captured the ghost. I’ve infused my courage into your necklace! May you shine brightly and move forward from now on!”

Lilly’s words echoed in her ears. It might have been an illusion, but Rebecca gradually felt a warmth while holding onto the jade necklace.

Just then, the door opened. Harry and Elliot returned, followed by Lydia and Nicole.

As soon as Nicole entered, she rushed to the refrigerator to grab a drink without washing her hands, leaving black handprints all over the place.

Elliot noticed Rebecca sitting in the living room before entering the room gloomily and slamming the door hard.

Harry frowned and expressed his displeasure. “What’s the matter with you? Why did you come back when we were looking for a house? You showed no respect for Mom!”

Despite her relatives being present, Rebecca lost her temper on the spot.

Harry’s expression turned gloomy. He felt embarrassed as Rebecca lost her temper in front of his relatives.

Lydia continued to add to the chaos. “Why did you get angry when I made a suggestion? If you don’t want us to give you an idea, just say it! Don’t forget that you used to work at a supermarket. Maybe you’ve been fortunate enough to make some money in the past few years, but you might not have a job this year! It would be in your best interest to buy a more affordable house!”

Unhappily, Harry took out his keys, wallet, and phone. He threw them on the table, took off his shoes, and arrogantly leaned on the sofa.

“Aunt Lydia is right. Did the publisher pay you today? Remember to transfer it to my card so that you don’t waste money.”

Lydia nodded approvingly. Elliot had told her that Rebecca always bought expensive facial

masks.

Lydia couldn’t understand it. Why did a married woman with children have to wear makeup and take care of her skin? Rebecca would look the same when she got older.

Rebecca remained silent on the sofa. She took her mobile phone and logged into online banking.

She had transferred all the money she had earned over the years to Harry and stored it in his bank account. As for the monthly publishing fee, Harry knew better than she did how much she would earn.

He took all her money and told her not to spend it recklessly. Everyone in their family was obsessed with money, and they liked to watch the amount pile up in their bank accounts. They always guarded it and didn’t allow her to spend it, but they were willing to spend a lot of money on themselves.

Rebecca didn’t want to complain because Harry was her husband. But now? Lilly was right! She could spend the money she earned on whatever she wanted! Others didn’t have the right to order her around!

On the side table, Harry’s phone received a verification code text message.

Rebecca immediately picked up the phone, entered the QR code, and went into the room to verify her identity.

She transferred several hundred million of her money back into her account all at once.

Harry was still frowning outside and asked, “Did you hear me? What are you doing with my phone?”

Rebecca sneered and threw the phone in his face. “You spend my money and still ask me to transfer money to you. I won’t do that anymore! Screw you!”

She pointed at the door. “And I’m the one who wants to buy a house, but you all discussed it without asking for my opinion! Your relatives aren’t my relatives. I’ll welcome them if they come here as guests. But if they have many ideas and suggestions, please leave!”

Nicole was drinking milk while climbing up and down on the sofa. There were black handprints on it, and the milk spilled out.

Rebecca kicked the side table vigorously. Elliot had bought that mahogany side table for one hundred dollars. Rebecca had wanted to throw it away a long time ago. It felt good to kick it over.
