Hearing that, Lily chuckled. She then moved closer to Josh and whispered in his ear, “I’m here to catch the malevolent spirit. It’s hovering over Cheryl’s head and draining her energy like someone sipping a milkshake.”
Immediately, Josh imagined someone sipping a milkshake and couldn’t help but tremble.
Suddenly, a cold gust of wind blew over, and Josh shivered. He nervously covered his neck.
“Can malevolent spirits appear in broad daylight?”
Lily nodded. “Yes… Actually, there are three types of ghost spirits in the world. The first type is like the eerie female spirit you saw yesterday. They are known as wandering spirits. These spirits died unnaturally and couldn’t reincarnate, so they wander aimlessly…”
Josh’s face turned pale as soon as he heard that. He recalled the female spirit from yesterday that almost scared him.
Lily continued, “The second type is resentful spirits. They died tragically and appear out of nowhere to frighten people. The third type is malevolent spirits. Josh didn’t want to go back to class. He remembered what Lily said about the malevolent spirit hovering over Cheryl’s head. He was afraid to return to the classroom.
The homeroom teacher was startled when Josh wanted to call Anthony.
“Josh, can you please bring Lily back to the class first?”
“Okay! Josh and I will go back to the class together!” Lily obediently nodded.
Josh had no choice but to follow Lily back to the class. He didn’t want Lily to laugh at him.
As soon as Josh entered the class, he glanced at Cheryl.
Right then, Cheryl raised her head and smiled at him. However, Josh suddenly felt a chilling fear run down his spine.
Cheryl was staring at him, and her face looked gloomy. She appeared terrifying.
Josh quickly looked away and hurried back to his seat.
