Chapter 186 – A Sacrificial Lamb’s Unexpected Marriage

The two men were equally handsome and breathtaking. They were capable of getting any girl that they wanted, hence Deacon didn’t understand why Marvin would quarrel with their father over a girl.

Marvin scoffed and continued,

“Deacon, you must be very happy that you inherited the buisness empire, and you also have the most beautiful woman as your fiance. That’s great, Deacon. You must continue to be happy.”

With that, Marvin turned around and headed downstairs.

Marvin couldn’t help but turn to look at Deacon again. He found it ridiculous to believe that Oriana gave up her life for Deacon. She had loved him more than she loved her life.

Marvin would not mention the name ‘Oriana’ to Deacon. He would never. He would never let Deacon know what he had lost. This was his punishment.

Lily angrily ran out of the study and went after Marvin.

“Marvin, I’m talking to you!”

The mother and son soon disappeared from Deacon’s sight. At this moment, the door of the study opened and Alpha walked out.

Deacon looked at Alpha and inquired,

“Are you two arguing about me?”

Alpha shook his head.

“No, this has nothing to do with you. Today’s Crystal’s birthday. How are you celebrating the day with her?” Alpha hastily changed the topic.

“Quite fine.” Deacon didn’t intend on saying more. He muttered swiftly,

“I’ll go see grandma.“

In the bedroom, Mrs. Samantha was sitting on a sofa, and held Phoebe in her arms. In the past three months, Mrs. Samantha had lost a lot of weight, and her hair was already gray. Mrs. Samantha’s head had turned white overnight.

Phoebe snuggled in the old lady’s arms and meowed.

“Grandma.” Deacon called out and squatted down on one knee beside the sofa and held Mrs.

Samantha’s left hand.

Mrs. Samantha looked up at Deacon,

“Deacon, you’re back.” She muttered expressionlessly.

“Grandma, I was told that you barely ate again today. What’s wrong with you? If you have anything on your mind, you can tell me.” Deacon persuaded gently.

Mrs. Samantha shook her head.

“Grandma is fine. Don’t worry, okay? Grandma just wants to be left alone.”

Deacon knew that his grandma was unwilling to tell what was bothering her.

“Grandma, I’ll pick you up in two days to come live with me. Your appetite isn’t so good right now. I’ll find someone who can prepare delicious meals for you.

After spending some time with his grandmother, Deacon left the Armstead’s villa. He and Marvin had alot of properties and they had their own villa.

In the Rolls-Royce buisness car, Deacon leaned his back into the seat and raised his eyes to look at the beautiful city.

Peterson who sat in the driver’s seat informed politely,

“Young Master, secretary Andrew just called. He called to remind you that your appointment with the psychologist, Dr. Brown, still holds. And Andrew assures that he can find a cure to your frigidity.

Hearing the last three words, Deacon lowered his hand, gently raised his beautiful eyes, and glanced at Peterson.

Peterson felt a chill on his neck, but he pinched it, smiled flatly and said, “Young master, I didn’t say this, it’s Secretary Andrew.”

Andrew sneezed into the air. Who was the little bastard who shifted the blame on him?

However, Peterson didn’t make up stories. Since Deacon returned to Canada, he hadn’t had any woman by his side.

Deacon indifferently retracted his gaze, “Drive.”

“Yes, Young Master.”

Deacon returned to The Red Villa. He’s living here alone now. Dr. Kellerman, his 21st psychologist, had been waiting for him for a long time.

Doctor Kellerman is a young man with white skin. He was wearing a white coat. He looked at Deacon gently and politely. “Hello, sir. Please sit down.”

Deacon sat on the sofa, his long legs elegantly superimposed on each other, looking indifferent.

Dr. Kellerman sat across from him. “Mr. Armstead, relax. We can chat now. Have you ever dated a girlfriend before?”

Deacon shook his head, “No.”

“Since you’ve never dated a girlfriend, how do you know that you’re frigid? It’s a simple problem. You can try dating a girl.” Dr. Kellerman suggested.

Deacon pursed his lips and said in a low voice, “I was injured before.”

Dr. Kellerman’s gaze fell on his trousers. “What’s the reason?”

Deacon shook his head. “I don’t know. I can’t remember how I got hurt. Anyway, I have no sexual interest in women, and I don’t like women’s approach. Recently, there was a girl by my side. She’s pure and smart. She should be my favorite. But after that, I have no desire for her either.”

Only after Deacon returned to the Imperial did he realize that there was a wound in his lower body.

Having the wound in this place is very serious. There’s no reason why he couldn’t remember it. This was unusual.

Moreover, he was 28 years old. Although he wasn’t lustful, he was still young. However, he had absolutely no desire for sex and his body didn’t respond.

He knew that something was wrong with his body. Either he was frigid or impotent.

He should like Crystal. Sometimes, her long black hair and the mischievous look in her eyebrows would make his heart flutter.

Dr. Kellerman nodded, indicating that he understood, “Mr. Armstead, if there is a girl next to you, you should try going out with her as a boyfriend and girlfriend. See if you like her more and more and if you crave her. Intimate hugs between lovers are all sexually appealing. Open up and try to let her in.”

Deacon probably knew that Robert and Armstead family was married. Alpha regarded Crystal as his prospective daughter-in-law. In fact, he didn’t care who he would live with all his life. After marriage, he would respect his wife, grant her title, wealth, power, including children, and can guarantee fidelity. Moreover, Crystal was the only girl who had been able to be with him so far, so it wasn’t a bad idea to marry her,

But now he has no interest in doing anything intimate with Crystal. Today, everyone was coaxing him to kiss her but he didn’t want to.

Deacon looked at Dr. Kellerman, his voice low and a little h oar se: “I don’t know why I feel empty inside. My life is neither good nor bad. I dont like anything. Opening my eyes, I stood up, and when the sun went down, I closed my eyes. My everyday life is boring like a machine. Today Marvin asked me if 1 am happy. No, I am not happy at all. I don’t even know what happiness is. I don’t know what I’m yearning for, but I always feel like I’ve lost the most important thing in my life.”

Dr. Kellerman looked at his handsome face in the dim light. He had a hunch that this man had suffered a great deal of trauma, but now he was living a very peaceful life.

“Mr. Armstead, let’s try hypnosis next time. I’ll go into your world and see if I can find the answer for you, and what you’ve lost.”

After Kellerman left, Deacon returned to his bedroom. He took a cold shower and went to bed.

His current routine was very normal. He could sleep every night. In fact, he didn’t know when his sleep disorder was cured. In short, he would never have that condition again. No more nightmares, he could sleep until dawn.

Everything had changed for the better. He was fine now.

At this moment, there was a “ding”. It was a text message from his phone, from Crystal.

“Deacon, can you drive me to school tomorrow?”

Deacon remembered Dr. Kellerman’s suggestion and didn’t refuse.

The word “Yes” was enough to make Crystal burst with joy.

“Deacon, thank you. I’m so happy. Go to bed early. See you tomorrow.”

Deacon put his phone on the bed table and calmly closed his eyes.
