Chapter 134 – The Omega Destiny

“I know Ayla. I know.” I pull her close and hug her tight. I know that she had planned on putting Monica on her team. She would’ve been working on it full time and from what I hear, glad to be out of the kitchens.

We wrap up our wilderness exploration and head back to our own cabin. I mind-link the team and check on any new developments anywhere, but as of right now, there are none. I told Cyrus to quit for the day. He and Raven have been pushing themselves trying to track this powder and they need to work on their bond as well. They can’t do that if they are working 24/7. If that is what Raven is hoping for, she is mistaken.

“Are we planning on using the maternity cabins?” I ask her, it will be here before we know it and we have yet to talk about any of this stuff.

“I thought that hot spring back there looked nice.” She laughs as we hold hands back to the car.

“You can have our pup in one if you want.” I suggest.

“I don’t want to boil him alive!” Little Wolf swats at me.

“Him? Hmmm….do you want a him or her?” I ask, the only thought I’ve had so far is the thought of having a little Ayla grow up and wanting to break the faces of any shifters that dare look her direction.

“I don’t know. I’d take a little Thane. I want you to have a son.”

“I don’t have a preference. I will take as may with you as I can get Ayla.” I pull her in and hold her for a deep kiss before tucking her into the car and heading back to our cabin.

A little Murder Here…A Little Murder There.

Surveillance on Alpha Stevens was not high on my list of things to do with Raven today, for obvious reasons, but she knows the rotations, the locations etc. So, here we are, laying on our damn stomachs in full Ghillie camouflage covered in scent blocker a mile away watching Alpha Stevens as he meets with his beta. The beta happens to be Fireball’s father and hence my sour mood. I can feel the bond between us throbbing. It knows she is watching, hurting and I can’t do a damn thing about it. Thane knows sending me here is a risk, but we also need Raven’s help with identifying people, and he knows that I will protect her, but he also knows how fucking unhinged I will go in the process and Steven’s is dirty, so it won’t be a loss. I just can’t end him yet. There in lies the risk of me being here.

“You alright Fireball?” I whisper, despite the cold I have sweat dripping down my brow and it’s annoying as hell.

“I don’t want to talk about it.”

“Your father will be alpha after we take down Stevens and douchewaffle.” Stevens has another son, but he has no interest in the alpha title from what Raven tells me.

“Derek, and I know this, Cyrus.”

“Well, did he know you were put in the ring or was he sold a story about something happening to you?” I asked, anger building up as I watch these pieces of shit with my binocs.

“I don’t know. I was drugged.”

“If he knows, he’s on my list Fireball. Just warning you.”

“If he knows, he’s on my list Cyrus.” She blows out a breath and I can feel her tension as we are right against each other, arms touching, hopefully grounding her to reality.

“Awwww…look babe. We have our own murder list together.” I watch as she rolls her eyes, but I notice the slight uptick of her mouth. I also notice that her temperatures have been spiking, and she is starting to look at me differently when I walk around the apartment naked. That heat is coming and if I said I wasn’t scared to bring it up, I would be a liar.

“Team Fang to Tea Delta, over.” Tyler’s doing is his computer hacking magic as we take a dirt bath like a chicken.

“Team Delta, over.”

“The target is making a call, over.” I see Steven’s messing around with his phone and I’m hoping whoever he is calling, will give us some answers.

“Copy that.”

We continue to lie here as Tyler does whatever he does. All I can do is think about how close I am to my mate, but it seems like she is so far away. I don’t think Raven can fully commit until these assholes are wiped out and I can hardly wait for it.

“How are you going to do it?” I don’t like it when Fireball is too quiet. I know her mind is probably taking her back to what she experienced. I know I couldn’t handle hearing about it, and I know I can’t handle my mate thinking about it. Daydreaming about murder can really be a spirt lifter.

“I don’t know. I’m thinking about hanging one from meat hooks.”

“Hang them naked. More surface area to carve up.” I suggest going back through some of my fondest memories.

“Naked on a meat hook. I like it.” She whispers and I smile from ear to ear.

“I know. You’re my mate.” I love reminding her how perfect we are for each other.

“Carve your name in their bodies so all the other shifters know who not to mess with.” My suggestion is sound, but it doesn’t work for anonymity, like I care about that anyway.

“What will you be doing while I’m playing?”

“I will be doing whatever you want me to do Fireball. I will hang your bodies. I’ll bring you your tools. I will make that sweet purr box wet while

3.26 PM

A little Murder Here. A Little Murder There your enemies watch, while they take their last breaths, jealous it isn’t them. I’m yours Fireball. Use me however you want.

I can smell her arousal in the air as my little heathen imagines everything I just planted in her beautiful head. Now I have to wait for it all to play out in real life and what a show it will be.

“I’m going to do terrible things to you while he watches Fireball, just warning you.”

“Will you be able to handle another shifter watching me finish Cyrus?” A deep growl leaves me as the thought of another seeing her in pure ecstasy is enough for me to go feral with jealousy. I’ve only seen it once.

“That’s what I thought. What’s the big deal? He’s seen it a hundred times anyway.” Raven discussing her past sex life is enough to make me lose it. I can feel my blood starting to boil and Artemis is growling, already too pissed off from not claiming his mate yet. There isn’t much more we will be able to take without completely losing it.

“Don’t like it do you? That’s how I feel when I think about your damn orgy calendar.” Touche, Fireball.

“Not this shit again. Every time you bring up that damn calendar, I’m going to spank your ass, Raven.”

“That isn’t the right way to get me to stop talking about it then Cyrus.” I can’t hold in my laugh and the smile that follows as I admire my perfect mate.

“Who is this asshole walking up?” I ask as a new shifter comes into the fold. He is average height, a lean shifter with auburn hair but he must be higher up in the ranks judging by his comfortability as he strolls up to Stevens.

“You know who it is.” I feel Raven’s arm tense and I hear her swallow hard. As I continue to study this shifter, I realize that he is in fact Alpha Steven’s son. They have similar characteristics and will meet similar deaths.

“He leads the border patrol.” I assume, judging by his tactical clothing.

“Yes,” she answers quickly and quietly.

“Well, he’s clearly doing a shitty job at it.”

“Or maybe we are just too good at our jobs.” Raven suggests to me while never taking her eyes off her binoculars. Her jaw is tight, and her pulse is rapid. I need to find a way to calm her down a little.

“Awww..you said ‘our’ jobs babe. We’ve got a murderous list and a job together. All we need now is a bigger place. I’m done sleeping on the floor.
