she’d snorted, fully amused, it appeared.

She’d also told Wil about that little agreement, and he’d apparently just shaken his head and stated,

“Calvin will not want to go to court with Marilyn over this.”

Something Anabell actually agreed with herself. She didn’t see him doing that either, likely bend over backwards to give her what she wanted in an effort to get her to come to like him.

Marilyn watched as Anabell got off the plane as it was disembarking and waved at her, walked over to the waiting car with a simple carry??n luggage, and stated

“Now, aren’t you a sight for sore eyes!”

“It’s good to see a familiar face in person, Anabell.”

She’d smiled right back.

“Did you manage to keep your secret from Wil?”

“I did,”

she smiled

“His birthday is on Tuesday, and I’m going to give him a gift he’ll like. Now where are the two munchkins I’ve not yet met?”

“In the back already.”

Marilyn smiled and when she slid into the car she looked right at the twins and chuckled as Marilyn introduced them to each other.

“Oh my, don’t they look just like Calvin!”

She stated, looking at Marilyn for a brief mome the boys once more.

“Now you two can call me Aunty Anabell.”

“Hi.”

The boys both smiled at her.

“Are you mum’s sister?”

Cal asked.

“No, but we were close way back before you were born.”

Anabell smiled at them. efore turning to

They were off to Marina Cay, Bigfork, where Marilyn had booked a three??edroom condo for her, the boys and Anabell to stay in, and two one??edroom condos for Heath and Doyle, their pilot, so they’d all be staying in the same place. Anabell had stated she was happy to share a room with her and the boys and, seeing as Marilyn herself had most of her memories back, she saw no issue with it either.

Marilyn had avoided breaching that contract because Wil knew she was leaving the state, to go on a writing

??? retreat, not the entire truth, but she could, as a writer, take inspiration for anywhere she went. She’d also not told Anabell about the house they were off to look at, in just an hour and a half, after they had all settled in and had lunch.

Though she would be going and get to see it as well. It was likely to come as a bit of a shock to her, but that was all okay, seeing as the plans to punish Calvin for his atrocious behaviour, were starting to formulate inside Marilyn’s mind by the day. That and Anabell was now her lawyer, so she couldn’t actually tell Wil or Calvin about the house at all.

They all sat at a restaurant with a view of the lake and the boys had nacho’s while she, Anabell and Heath all had a proper lunch. It was pretty busy in here, and the food was good. They’d headed for the real estate right after lunch, and she’d gone in and picked up the keys for her new house.

Anabell had looked at her more than surprised, but Marilyn had just smiled at her, as she’d gotten in the car once more, and they’d taken the 35??inute drive south of central Bigfork down to a place called Yellow Bay, where the house was actually located. It was a nice drive along the lake and then up into the mountains itself.

She could hear the boys talking excitedly, and their driver had commented about the townsfolk wondered who had bought the house. She’d just smiled at him and stated

“It was a private sale.”

“Yes, the town is aware, none of us could get the realtor to tell them.”

He chuckled softly as he’d driven them to their destination.

Marilyn

“Whose house is this?”

Anabella had asked after they’d been driven to the house and were getting out of the car.

“Ours.”

Both her boys had stated as they’d run off across the front lawn, it was well??anicured and had plenty of room for them, and from the photos, a magnificent view of the lake itself. Heath was standing there looking about the front of the house as well. They’d come in through the top entry gate and were parked up near the garage with full view of the front yard.

She gave Heath one of the sets of keys, and he nodded to her and stated

“I’ll start assessing the property, no need to rush in your own wandering about. I’ll take a good look today and while you’re off sightseeing tomorrow, I’ll spend a few hours here sorting out a proper security plan for the place.”

She’d nodded at him and watched him walk off towards the main house, while she and Anabell followed the twins over to the lawns fencing, to look at that expansive view. She smiled as she leaned on the railing. It was stunning in the afternoon sun.

The railing stood above a massive natural rock??uilt retaining wall that had pine trees directly below them and there was the other part of the driveway that led to the house down there from the lower gate access to the property. It came to a grassed area to the north and a paved walkway that led up to the house itself.

“Now, when the boys say ‘ours’, what exactly does that mean?”

Anabell turned to look at her as the boys ran off to look about.

“It’s part of a family trust I’ve had set up, it will be theirs one day. When they turn 18, I’ll sign it completely into their names, and they can pull it from the trust at 25 to do with as they please. It’s currently under all three of our names. But I’ll eventually give it to them as their own.”

“You were planning on moving here. I’m guessing if you didn’t get your memories back, and couldn’t contain Calvin,”

Anabell murmured.

“I was, needed a back??p plan for getting away from the crazy man.”
