“Nevermind. If you aren’t going to suffocate and die, let’s exit the car. Raven opens her door, getting out and scanning the area.
“It’s a panic attack. Not suffocation…nevermind.” I say, taking a step toward the big compound. Snow covers the ground that once was littered with bodies. Bodies of guards and disgusting alpha’s that dare take what wasn’t theirs in every sense. They deserve what they got.
We walked into the compound, and I immediately see blood in the hallways, papers and bullet casings scattered everywhere. Chairs are overturned; lab tables are out in the hall. There is scattered rocks and debris from where the door was blown. Ceiling tiles and wires hang from the ceiling and lights flicker. Nothing frightening here at all.
“Wow. This place looks like a massacre happened here.” Raven whispers as we walk through.
“I don’t remember any of it. Thane drugged me.”
“How romantic.” Raven states.
“I’m serious.” I inform her, in case she thinks I was joking.
“I know. So was was 1. d make what I am sure is an odd frowny/pouty face while contemplating her statement.
“Okay then..that’s…..okay.” I turn away, trying to hide my expression. I’m not sure what to think of her statement.
I start to walk down the back hall and I immediately feel my heart rate kick up and my throat starts to tighten. I’m not sure I can walk any further. I feel a tug in my chest letting me know that Thane is feeling my panic. I take a deep breath and tug back on the mating bond thread and send reassuring feelings through it. I was okay. I can do this.
“What don’t you want to see in this hallway?” Raven asks, stepping next to me.
“Heat clinic rooms.” I whisper.
“Explain.” She requests from me, not demanding, but it’s clear she won’t accept not getting an explanation.
I walk down and step into the doorway of the first room. The table with all its straps remains in here. The mirror in the w and walls. I hate this place.
wall. The cold tile floor
“They would inject the with a drug to induce a heat. When I was out of my mind, alphas would use me however they wanted.” I clench my teeth together hard. My skin bristles as Aramana snarls in my head, clawing trying to get out. She is full of rage, having to see my memories as they start to play in my mind here. Each one making me increasingly angry and full of pain rising from deep within my soul.
