Everyone was quiet for a moment before someone put something in front of my face.
“Bite this.”

Alec said towith a thick voice.
Lifting my head, I tried to assess my injury. The gash was deep and about five inches wide. A chunk of meat was moving in and out as I breathed. It wasn’t just a surface thing. This was layers of muscle.
