Isabella found herself mesmerized by this unfamiliar side of Andrew—so free, so spontaneous. His energy was magnetic, pulling her into his orbit.

Without warning, his voice cut through the symphony of the night.

“Darling, tell me, please, will you marry me?”

“What?”

Isabella’s heart skipped a beat, the unexpected question catching her completely off guard.

“I said, will you marry me?”

Like a shooting star streaking across the heavens, their car sailed over the bridge. Andrew’s finger found a button, and before Isabella’s widening eyes, a black box before the passenger seat split open as if by magic.

From within emerged an intricate mechanical marvel—a delicate vine of precious metal that unfurled like a living thing, its crown jewel a spectacular diamond ring nestled in the heart of a mechanical flower, blooming just for her in a display of engineering artistry.

“Oh my God!”

Isabella’s hands flew to her mouth, her mind struggling to process the beautiful reality unfolding before her.

Her eyes remained fixed on the glittering diamond, her pulse racing like a hummingbird’s wings.

Andrew’s gaze never wavered as he awaited her answer.

“Darling, will you marry me? Say yes to me! Let me dedicate my life to loving you, standing as your shield against the world, being the partner you deserve in every breath we take!”

The perfectness of this moment—one Isabella had never dared to imagine—overwhelmed her senses.

Andrew’s passionate declaration echoed in her heart, his eager anticipation tangible in the air between them. How could she deny such pure devotion?

Her eyes drifted from the spectacular ring to his hopeful face, a smile blooming on her lips that outshone even the diamond’s brilliance.

“Yes, I will. Isabella agrees to marry Andrew. I agree to marry you!”

Though usually reserved in nature, both of them shed their quiet shells in this precious moment, letting their hearts speak freely and their emotions run wild.

Andrew’s heart blazed like a supernova at Isabella’s acceptance, which filled his chest with an intensity he’d never known before!

The car’s engine sang as they left the bridge behind, finally coming to rest in an enchanted corridor of sycamore trees that stood like silent witnesses to their joy.

Isabella marveled at the ethereal beauty of their surroundings, suspecting every detail of this perfect evening had sprung from Andrew’s careful planning. Yet, their journey to Klein Manor seemed spontaneous, a moment carved out of destiny itself.

Andrew, typically the epitome of corporate confidence, betrayed his vulnerability as his Adam’s apple bobbed nervously. This side of him, so raw and genuine, only made the moment more precious.

With slender fingers, Andrew retrieved the diamond ring from its floral throne, his eyes brimming with adoration as they met Isabella’s gaze.

“Isabella, thank you for making me the happiest man alive!”

Isabella extended her hand with grace, and Andrew slipped the ring onto her finger, carefully positioning it at that special point nearest to her palm.

Legend spoke of this spot being closest to the heart’s pulse, a sacred junction of love and commitment.

After securing the ring, Andrew lifted her hand to his lips, placing a kiss as soft as butterfly wings against her skin.

“Thank you, Isabella.”

His words, though simple, carried the weight of a thousand love poems, wrapping Isabella in a cocoon of pure bliss.

Moved by his tenderness, Isabella placed her palm against Andrew’s cheek, returning his affection with a kiss that spoke volumes of her own devotion.

They resumed their journey along the sycamore-lined avenue toward Klein Manor, eager to share their joy with Damari and discuss the matter of Elton.

At Klein Manor, Damari’s face broke into a radiant smile at the news of Isabella and Andrew’s upcoming marriage.

“Good. That’s fantastic!” Joy resonated through every syllable as he spoke, his eyes twinkling as they settled on Andrew.

“Well, well, you’ve finally managed to make me happy.”

He turned to Isabella.

“Isabella, when you return home, please check your parents’ schedule. We should arrange a gathering to discuss the perfect date for your union with Andrew.”

“Okay, I’ll contact them.”

Isabella agreed warmly. The couple spent a comfortable while in Damari’s company, but as evening shadows lengthened, they rose to bid their farewells.

At the Patton Manor, Andrew and Isabella’s abundance of gifts drew surprised looks from Elaine.

“Your return alone brings me joy. Why did you bring so many gifts?” While Elaine and Glenn attributed the gesture to Andrew’s typical courtesy, Dane—standing protectively beside Susan, whose pregnancy was now clearly visible—detected something different in his familiar friend’s bearing.

Dane recalled the day he had gone to Susan’s home to discuss their marriage. He must have looked just like Andrew did now.

Sure enough, Andrew had barely settled into his seat before, just as Dane had predicted, he turned to face Glenn and Elaine with practiced formality.

“Mr. Patton, Mrs. Patton, we’d like to talk about setting a date for our wedding.”

Glenn and Elaine exchanged glances, their eyes then drifting to Isabella’s hand, which was resting securely in Andrew’s.

A diamond ring gleamed on her finger.

Was their precious daughter really about to get married?

A wave of reluctance washed over them, but they couldn’t deny the truth—Andrew had treated Isabella with unwavering devotion over the years. They were more than satisfied with both him and his family. Glenn gave a firm nod.

“You’ve been together for so long. It’s good that you want to have a wedding now.”

Soon, Glenn and Elaine met with Damari at a restaurant.

Both families sat together, carefully selecting a wedding date that considered Isabella’s and Andrew’s preferences. After much discussion, they finally settled on the end of the year.

Isabella didn’t feel much when the date was set. But as the preparations began, she quickly realized that planning a wedding was far more complicated than arranging an engagement.

Thankfully, she had Andrew. Other than the essentials—choosing a dress, finalizing her hairstyle, and posing for photos—he handled everything so she wouldn’t have to.

Isabella herself had designed the style of her wedding dress. And when the final piece was ready, Elaine, Susan, and Milly eagerly urged her to try it on.

Faced with their expectant looks, Isabella had no choice but to pick up the gown and step into the fitting room.

“How is it?”

She emerged, the dress flowing around her, its intricate details catching the light.

“Wow…”

A stunned silence fell over the room before everyone erupted into praise, their admiration shining in their eyes as they quickly pulled out their phones to capture the moment.

Once the impromptu photoshoot ended, Isabella carefully removed the dress.

Elaine, seated on the sofa, wrapped an arm around Isabella’s shoulders, pulling her close.

“My darling daughter, I still think of you as so young. But now you’re getting married.”

Isabella turned her head, catching the mix of happiness and melancholy in Elaine’s expression. A pang of emotion tightened her chest.

She hugged her mother back.

“Mom, don’t make it sound like I’m leaving forever. No matter what, I’ll always be your daughter. Just say the word, and I’ll come running back to you in no time!”

As Isabella spoke, Glenn stepped into the room, his heart swelling with pride at his daughter’s words.
