Luka let out a hearty laugh. “Of course, I’m happy to treat everyone. But where do you want to go?”

“Naturally, somewhere expensive and delicious,” Elaine said, exchanging mischievous glances with others.

Luka laughed along with them.

“Alright, today we’ll dine somewhere both expensive and delicious!”

“Yay! I’ll call Dane, and we’ll head out now!”

Behind them, Ailyn had just stepped out of the venue and overheard Luka and the Patton family making their celebration plans.

Ailyn’s face darkened. These Lorpond people were so shallow.

An expensive and delicious restaurant? It was the kind of flashy, show-off behavior typical of the newly rich.

She turned sharply and climbed into the car with Nathan, still fuming.

She had lost face because of Lina and Tatiana, while Isabella and her family were off celebrating. What right did they have to be so cheerful?

Ailyn bit her lip, resentment bubbling up. She had never disliked anyone more than Isabella, who seemed to be her sworn enemy. Every time Isabella appeared, something went wrong. First, her car got hit, and then her fashion show fell flat. In Ailyn’s life, those were the only two setbacks she had suffered, and both had been because of Isabella.

In the driver’s seat, Nathan glanced in the rearview mirror, noticing the stormy look on Ailyn’s face. He hesitated before finally speaking.

“Miss Vettel, now that the show’s over, how should we handle the models you invited?”

The models hadn’t expected to be invited here only to end up as mere background for another brand. They were now somewhat displeased with Ailyn.

Ailyn had collaborated with these top international models many times before, many of whom came from wealthy families and were part of the network Ailyn had carefully cultivated over the years. She couldn’t just ignore them.

Ailyn shut her eyes, fighting to suppress her anger.

“Stop the car. Find a place and invite them for a meal.”

“Yes, ma’am.” Nathan nodded and went to carry out her orders.

Outside the understated yet luxurious Blue Moon Hotel, Luka and the Patton family stepped out of the car. Dane and Susan were still on their way here.

Elaine glanced at Isabella and asked, “Sweetheart, did Andrew say he’s coming?”

Isabella had already texted Andrew, and he’d replied that he was on his way.

“Mom, Andrew’s heading over. You and Uncle Luka go ahead. I’ll wait here for a bit.”

Elaine’s eyes softened with understanding. Her daughter probably wanted a little alone time with Andrew. With a smile, Elaine agreed.

“Alright, we’ll wait for you in the private room.”

“Okay.”

The group headed inside, leaving Isabella standing by the flowerbed outside the hotel. She pulled out her phone and began chatting with Andrew.

In the Rolls-Royce, the secretary had initially been puzzled by Andrew’s sudden decision to visit the Blue Moon Hotel. But as they arrived and he saw the striking woman in white by the flowerbed, the reason became instantly clear.

The secretary watched in silence as Andrew stepped out of the car and made his way toward Isabella, before quietly driving off.

Isabella glanced at the Rolls-Royce pulling away and turned to Andrew, asking, “Did you have an appointment with your secretary?”

Andrew took her hand, not intending to tell the truth. “It’s already over. Where are your uncle and the others?”

“In the private room.”

Isabella was about to say more when Andrew’s gaze suddenly sharpened.

Behind her, several cars had pulled up, and Ailyn, along with some foreign models, stepped out.

Andrew had already looked into Ailyn’s reason for coming to Lorpond and had declined all of her requests to meet. The last thing Andrew wanted was for Ailyn to have any contact with Isabella.

At the same moment, Ailyn caught sight of Andrew, and her eyes sparkled with sudden excitement.

The elders had long wished to discuss Dr. Mia with Andrew in person, but he skillfully evaded their every attempt. This time, however, fate intervened, and Ailyn found herself unexpectedly crossing paths with Andrew.

Ailyn stepped forward, intending to approach Andrew. But the moment he spotted her, Andrew turned his head away and swiftly tugged the woman beside him—her back turned to Ailyn—into the hotel.

As the woman shifted slightly, Ailyn caught sight of the face that irritated her to no end.

Isabella. Were they planning to share a meal together? Was Andrew really rushing off just to dine with her?

Frustration bubbled up inside Ailyn, nearly choking her. Why did Isabella always seem to ruin her carefully laid plans?

Inside the hotel corridor, Isabella stole a few uncertain glances at Andrew, her brow furrowed in surprise at his sudden, forceful pull.

Andrew came to a stop, turning to face her. His hand rose gently, brushing against her cheek.

“Now that the fashion show’s over, do you have more time to relax?” he asked, his voice soft.

Isabella hesitated before offering a slight nod. Her gaze met Andrew’s, and she couldn’t shake the feeling that something was weighing heavily on his mind.

“My uncle can handle Timeless Elegance perfectly fine on his own. Andre, what’s bothering you?”

Andrew paused, his hesitation palpable.

“I watched the live stream of the show today.”

Isabella tilted her head, waiting for him to elaborate.

“What do you think of Ailyn?” Andrew finally asked, his words deliberate and slow.

Ailyn?

The mention of the name made things click for Isabella. She thought she understood what was gnawing at him. She chuckled lightly.

“Andre, are you worried that Ailyn will come after me because Timeless Elegance’s designs overshadowed hers? Don’t worry—I’m not someone who can be easily harmed.”

Andrew, realizing she had misunderstood, chose not to clarify. Instead, he softly said, “Promise me you’ll stay away from her.”

His tone was gentle, but his words carried a quiet, undeniable authority. Isabella looked into his sincere eyes and found herself unable to refuse him.

Shaking her head with a resigned smile, she replied, “Alright, I’ll do whatever you say.”

Andrew’s lips curled into a faint smile. He leaned down and kissed her forehead. “You’re the best, sweetheart.”

Since they were still standing in the corridor, Isabella flushed, a hint of shyness coloring her features.

“Come on, the others are waiting for us.”

She tugged Andrew’s hand, quickening her pace towards the private room. Andrew walked half a step behind, his gaze lingering on the tips of her ears, which had turned a rosy pink. His eyes brimmed with affection.

She truly was adorable, his Isabella.

In the days that followed, Isabella’s routine revolved around work and home. With her schedule now fully organized, she found herself with plenty of free time, even indulging in a relaxed weekend at home. On Sunday afternoon, after wrapping up her workout, she decided to whip up a healthy, homemade meal.

When she opened the fridge, her eyes landed on the soda she and Andrew had bought together. It reminded her of her busy boyfriend, still tied up at the office.

“Why not surprise him at Klein Group?” she muttered, her bright eyes lighting up with excitement at the idea. Without wasting a second, she messaged Andrew’s secretary to confirm if Andrew was in.

Once she received a positive reply, Isabella got to work. She prepared three main dishes and a soup, carefully tasting each one to ensure they were perfect.

She packed everything neatly into a thermal container, adding a fruit platter for good measure.
