“Sure.” Isabella agreed softly. “But promise me, no matter how busy you get, you’ll eat well and get enough rest. You’re mine now, and I won’t let my man sacrifice his health for work.”

“You’re so bossy.”

Andrew couldn’t help but let out a low laugh as he affectionately pinched Isabella’s cheek and sank onto the bed beside her.

“Alright, I promise you, Your Majesty…”

The bedroom lights went out, leaving only a lamp that cast a soft, warm glow over the couple as they held each other and drifted to sleep.

The next morning, Andrew and Isabella woke up at the same time. After their morning run, a quick freshen-up, and breakfast, Andrew dropped Isabella off at her office before heading to the Klein Group.

His secretary greeted him with a meticulous breakdown of the day’s schedule, including a response from the Mafelen company the night before. Andrew listened quietly before waving the secretary away. Alone, he dialed a number.

“Check the situation in Mafelen. Also, I want a detailed report on all special figures entering Lorpond recently.”

“Yes, sir.”

At Ansport’s most luxurious hotel, Ailyn sent out a collection of twenty design drafts to a group chat. The chat included only Tatiana, Lina, and herself.

Ailyn tagged Lina in the chat. “The designs are preliminary. I’ll visit your office at three this afternoon to observe materials and craftsmanship in person. Please make the necessary arrangements.”

Ailyn was used to being treated with deference wherever she went, and her tone with Lina, the head of the Grey family, was no different from the one she used with Nathan, who stood beside her.

Lina, however, seemed unbothered and gave an immediate response. “No problem, Miss Vettel. Would you like me to arrange a ride for you?”

The question made Ailyn pause, her thoughts drifting to the woman wearing a dress with Lorpond cultural elements. The Ferrari she had brought over from Mafelen had already been sent for repairs after just one day on Lorpond roads, all because of that woman.

Ailyn vented her frustration on Lina, another Lorpond woman.

“What do you think?”

Lina frowned at the message, uncertain of its tone. Was Ailyn disdaining her car, or did she want to use it? She promptly reached out to Tatiana and learned that Ailyn’s car had been damaged by a scammer. Only then did she cautiously type a response in the group chat.

“Understood. I’ll have someone pick you up at your hotel.”

Ailyn said nothing further, and Lina eventually closed the chat interface.

As Lina and Ailyn communicated, the deputy director of Orly Company’s production department stood quietly beside her. Having witnessed Ailyn’s arrogance firsthand, the man frowned. “Miss Grey, Miss Vettel really doesn’t respect us, does she? Her temper’s a bit… peculiar.”

Unlike Timeless Elegance, which prided itself on traditional craftsmanship, Orly Company, while bragging about their handmade clothing, secretly relied on machines to produce their garments. This allowed them to sell their clothes at a premium while cutting down on production costs.

However, Lina was well aware that their brand faced a hurdle they could never quite overcome.

Initially, Orly Company had mimicked other brands, copying everything from production techniques to clothing designs. This imitation did not sit well with the upper class, who heavily criticized them for lacking originality.

As the company expanded, they updated their logo and brought in several talented designers from Timeless Elegance. Still, the shadow of criticism loomed, though it was less pronounced than before.

Determined to shake off these critiques, Lina set her sights on Timeless Elegance once again. She had planned to collaborate with its CEO after the company was acquired by Homelight Enterprise. Unexpectedly, the Patton family threw a wrench into her plans. To make matters worse, Timeless Elegance struck gold by securing a high-profile partnership with Marcus, which catapulted them even further ahead.

This left Orly Company in a vulnerable position. Without the right move, they risked reliving the years of suppression that Timeless Elegance had inflicted upon them in the past.

Ailyn, a prominent figure in the design industry, emerged as a key ally. Collaborating with her seemed the only way to truly compete with Timeless Elegance.

Resolved to turn the tide, Lina was determined to ensure that Orly Company’s upcoming show would outshine Timeless Elegance’s.

Keeping her emotions in check, Lina turned to the deputy director of the production department. “Considering her stature as a global fashion icon and a noble lady, a bit of arrogance is only natural. Let’s ensure the workspace is spotless and that the finest fabrics are on display. This collaboration is crucial for transforming Orly Company.”

The deputy director responded promptly, “Understood. I’ll go instruct the workers right away.”

At three o’clock sharp, Ailyn gracefully emerged from the backseat of a sleek Mercedes, followed, as usual, by Nathan. “Miss Vettel, we’ve been eagerly anticipating your arrival. Everything is prepared for you. Please, this way,” Lina greeted her warmly, standing beside the deputy director of the production department at the roadside, ready to personally escort Ailyn.

However, Ailyn paused suddenly, slipping off her sunglasses and casting a frown toward two individuals a short distance away.

Seizing the moment, Lina stepped forward with an air of confidence.

“Mr. Calderon,” she called out, her tone light but pointed. “Considering our two companies are next to each other, we can be considered neighbors, right? How can you just walk away without a greeting?”

Luka halted mid-step, his expression darkening with faint disdain. When Lina sensed his irritation, her enthusiasm only grew.

“They say Timeless Elegance represents sophistication and culture. You certainly dress the part, Mr. Calderon,” she continued with a playful smirk. “But walking away so rudely? That’s hardly elegant behavior, wouldn’t you agree?”

Over the years, Lina had developed a knack for provoking Luka with her pointed remarks, and he had grown accustomed to avoiding her whenever possible. Yet, this time, as he attempted to leave, Lina found a way to keep him engaged.

“Lina, don’t be unreasonable,” Luka retorted, his voice low, not wanting to cause a scene in front of his nephew.

Undeterred, Lina turned her attention to Waylon. “Waylon! What a coincidence! I didn’t expect to see you here,” she exclaimed with feigned surprise.

Then addressing Ailyn, she added, “Miss Vettel, I’m not sure if you’re familiar with him. Waylon used to be a top star with a massive fanbase. Quite the heartthrob back in the day! And now, he’s ventured into modeling.”

She shifted her focus back to Waylon, her grin widening. “With such a massive following, your calendar must be overflowing, even if you’re modeling now. Am I right, Waylon?”

Lina’s words struck a match to Luka’s long-repressed anger.

During his conversation with Waylon earlier, Luka had uncovered a bitter truth—Lina had deliberately replaced Waylon with another model in a fashion show because of Waylon’s connection to him.

Waylon, once a superstar, had severed ties with his company. As a result, his social media accounts were reclaimed by the company. Determined to carve his own path, Waylon refused to rely on the Patton family name or capitalize on his loyal fan base. Lina knew all too well about Waylon’s predicament and was clearly making things difficult for him.

While Luka could endure Lina’s provocations when they were aimed at himself, seeing his nephew targeted was another matter entirely. The urge to defend Waylon surged through him. Just as he prepared to retort, Waylon intervened.

“Uncle, it’s not worth the trouble.” Waylon’s voice cut through the tension, his striking features enhanced by a roguish charm. He tilted his head slightly, casting Lina a dismissive glance, the corners of his mouth curling into a mocking smirk.

“Miss Grey, you’re absolutely right—my schedule is packed. In fact, I’m preparing to walk for Timeless Elegance and Marcus’s show in just a couple of days.”

Lina’s expression soured, and she opened her mouth to retort, but Waylon pressed on. “Miss Grey, it seems your next show is also coming up soon, isn’t it?”

His pointed tone was as sharp as his smile, a confident jab wrapped in practiced elegance.

“Timeless Elegance has been collaborating with top models lately. If the schedules don’t conflict, they can finish Timeless Elegance’s show before moving on to Orly Company’s. Unfortunately, I don’t share such luck. You know, the company you keep speaks volumes. Surround yourself with people like Miss Grey, and… Well, you risk staining your reputation.”

Each word struck its mark like a perfectly aimed arrow. The verbal blows Lina had dished out came back at her with ruthless precision.

She stood there speechless, cheeks flushed with anger.

Waylon, unfazed, turned to Luka, who appeared just as stunned. “Uncle, let’s head upstairs. I’ll have Dane look into the ownership of this office building, and we’ll just buy it outright.”

Though stunned by Waylon’s sharp tongue, Luka quickly understood his intent. He agreed. “Good idea. Timeless Elegance originally occupied the entire building, and buying it back will restore its rightful scale.”

The plan made perfect sense. With Patton Group and Homelight Enterprise backing him—and the mysterious designer breathing new life into Timeless Elegance—momentum was already on their side. The upcoming show promised significant returns, and reclaiming the building seemed not only feasible but inevitable. He was also tired of Lina’s constant interference.

Across from them, Lina clenched her fists, her expression taut as Waylon casually mentioned buying the building. Her disdainful gaze shifted from Waylon to Luka.

“Talk is cheap, Luka. Does the Calderon family even have the means to purchase an entire office building?”

A cold, dangerous light flashed in Waylon’s eyes. “It’s just an office building, Miss Grey. I’m his nephew, and gifting it to my uncle is hardly extravagant. Instead of worrying about us, perhaps you should consider where your company will move next.”

With Waylon’s years of fame and the weight of his position in the Patton family, securing the building for his uncle was as effortless as snapping his fingers. Realization crept across Lina’s face, her arrogance cracking slightly under the pressure.

Beside her, Ailyn’s delicate brows furrowed, her displeasure evident. While she held Lina in little regard, her disdain for the two men before her was stronger, particularly Waylon. He might have been good-looking, but his eyes and sharp tongue reminded her of the woman who had had a car accident with her.

Lifting her chin, Ailyn swept a haughty gaze over Luka and Waylon before turning to Lina. “Miss Grey, I’ve always valued the camaraderie of fellow designers, and you are my first collaborator here in Lorpond. To show goodwill, I’ll purchase this office building for you and your company’s use.”

Her words were calculated—an attempt to bolster Lina while subtly striking at Timeless Elegance.

Waylon’s brow furrowed. Ailyn’s status complicated matters, and he couldn’t respond as bluntly as he had with Lina.

“Miss Vettel, I must admit, I’m perplexed. You traveled all the way from Mafelen to Lorpond seeking collaboration, yet you chose Orly Company—a brand once notorious for plagiarism. Isn’t that tarnishing your own reputation?”

Ailyn’s face twitched slightly as she glanced at Waylon, wary of letting him see through her facade.
