“Sweetheart, today must have exhausted you,” Andrew said as he stepped out of the bathroom, wrapping his arms around Isabella with a fresh, clean scent.
Isabella rested her head on his shoulder and softly said, “I’m not exhausted. You must be. Today was really beautiful.”
“As long as you’re happy,” Andrew said gently. “By the way, I heard that Tatiana has taken over as the new CEO of Global Entertainment. She’s got a sharp edge to her. Hector must have been killed by her. Now, she’s pushing her new movie hard. What about yours? Do you need any help with the promotion?”
“The publicity department is already on it. We don’t need your help yet,” Isabella replied.
“Alright. Baby, I’m sorry for everything you’ve had to deal with lately,” Andrew said, his eyes dark with a trace of guilt.
Isabella’s expression softened. “It’s fine. You didn’t actually cheat on me.”
“I would never cheat on you. You’re the only one for me,” Andrew reassured her, his voice sincere.
He leaned in, his breath warm against her ear as he whispered, “If I ever do anything to hurt you, you have every right to end me.” Isabella’s heart skipped. She quickly pressed her hand over his mouth.
“Don’t talk like that,” she said. “I’m not violent.”
Andrew stayed quiet, his lips grazing her ear, sending a pleasant tingle through Isabella, leaving her feeling limp. Her hand rested against his chest, initially with the intention of pushing him away. But as she felt the solid strength of his muscles beneath her touch, her resolve weakened, and she found herself unable to move.
