“I never knew Tatiana was this righteous. I’m touched.”

“Tatiana, you have my support from now on!”

“I’m here, she’s completely changed my opinion!”

“Go, Tatiana!”

The effect was immediate and remarkable; Tatiana’s followers surged by tens of thousands in no time.

Staring intently at Isabella, Tatiana declared, “Isabella, it’s over. Your scheme has been exposed.”

Isabella calmly responded, “Where is the evidence?”

“All the posts from netizens are evidence!”

“If that’s the case, call the police. Report me for kidnapping Kathy! Go ahead,” Isabella said, her gaze fixed on Tatiana.

Tatiana’s expression faltered. Call the police? How could she possibly do that? The evidence was not strong enough.

“You know full well that calling the police isn’t an option, yet you still dare to say it. Isabella, do you have no regard for human life?” Tatiana frowned, her displeasure evident.

“If the police haven’t claimed I’ve done anything wrong, who are you to decide, Tatiana? Are you more competent than the authorities?” Isabella shot back. Her swift response and sharp words left Tatiana momentarily speechless.

But Tatiana quickly shifted her approach. “I know you too well, Isabella. Hand over Kathy now, and maybe they’ll go easy on you. If someone else finds her, you’re finished.”

Isabella replied coolly, “You know better than anyone if Kathy is still alive. Are you just putting on a show?”

Tatiana’s breath hitched, a flicker of guilt crossing her face, though she kept up her arrogant front. “How would you know? You’re the one who knows best! If you don’t hand over Kathy, you’re not leaving here.”

Her fierce display of righteousness stirred the people, moving them deeply. The comment section of the live stream erupted with fervent praises.

“I never imagined Tatiana could be so kind-hearted.”

“No matter what mistakes Tatiana made in the past, I’ve forgiven her!”

“Isabella is truly ruthless, refusing to admit her wrongdoings.”

“Poor Kathy—Isabella is heartless. Isabella, return our Kathy to us!”

As Tatiana spoke, she shot a glance at her assistant, who flashed her an approving thumbs-up, signaling that the impact was nothing short of spectacular.

A smile tugged at the corner of Tatiana’s mouth, but she swiftly quelled it, clinging to her mask of indignation and fury. “Kathy is around your age. How can you be so cold-hearted?”

Isabella remained silent, her gaze fixed on her phone as she chatted with Andrew.

“I’m talking to you!” Tatiana shouted, her frustration bubbling over.

The assistant glanced at the screen, her eyes widening as she noticed a sudden shift in the comments.

“Tatiana is such a fake; she disgusts me. Why doesn’t she just die?”

“Tatiana is so vicious! How dare she question Isabella? I’ve never seen anyone so shameless!”

“Tatiana, the best thing you can do right now is slap yourself to death!”

“What are you all doing? Why are you cursing Tatiana? I see how it is, you’re Isabella’s paid trolls, aren’t you?”

“You stupid haters, just die! How much did Isabella pay you to slander Tatiana? Can’t you see that Tatiana is heartless?”

The comment section became a battleground of opinions. The assistant frowned, recognizing that trolls had entered the fray. Dismissing them, she refocused on Tatiana’s performance, which was undeniably compelling. Even she felt a swell of righteousness while watching from the sidelines. Surely, the other bystanders would be even more inclined to rally behind her!

Tatiana pressed with her fervent performance, acutely aware of the captivated gazes of the crowd upon her. She cast a triumphant glance at Isabella, relishing the thought that today, Isabella would serve as her stepping stone!

Feeling extremely pleased, she caught a glimpse of a woman approaching from the corner of her eye. She assumed the woman approached to offer her support, and indeed, the stranger strode forward with purpose. “Tatiana,” she said, her tone laced with a hint of hostility.

Tatiana asked, “What’s the matter?”

Suddenly, a sharp slap resonated across the restaurant, and both Tatiana and her assistant were taken aback.

As the assistant came back to her senses, she found the live stream’s comment section erupting with cheers.

“Nice one! Great job! Ha-ha! She had it coming!”

“Who is this impressive woman? She did a good job!”

“If I were there, I’d give Tatiana ten slaps to express my frustration!”

The atmosphere began to shift. Even if Isabella had mobilized online trolls, the response wouldn’t be this unified. There were still many who supported Tatiana, making it implausible for all the comments to skew so negatively.

Tatiana slowly came to her senses, and then anger began to rise within her. She demanded, “Why did you hit me?”

“How dare you even ask? You despicable person!”

The woman’s face twisted in revulsion as she continued, “You jerks abducted Kathy and took her to the border with plans to sell her. Yet here you are, feigning innocence and accusing Isabella of hiding Kathy. It’s people like you who tarnish the reputation of the industry!”

The woman’s fury felt personal; she had a friend who had been deceived and taken to the border, only to be seen again.

Tatiana quickly retorted, “You’ve been tricked by Isabella. She’s really hiding Kathy!”

“Liar!” The woman struck Tatiana again and then said, “Kathy has already come forward. How can you still deny it?”

Hearing this, Tatiana was stunned. Her complexion turned pale. Kathy wasn’t dead? How could this be?

In disbelief, Tatiana hastily checked her phone and found Kathy live streaming.

Kathy looked gaunt, as though she had aged a decade in mere days. Her eyes were hollow, her stare weak, and her whole body shook unnervingly.

In a raspy voice, she said, “I almost died. I was drugged and placed in a car, and when I regained consciousness, I was on a ship. Directly across from the ship lay a notorious region known for human trafficking, a place where women often meet gruesome fates—either assaulted and killed or sold for their organs. I was petrified. I realized I had been abducted and saw no escape. Then, a masked figure emerged. I couldn’t see her face, but she cut the bindings on me and urged me to jump into the sea. Terrified, I hesitated. I could swim, but in such a vast ocean, where would I find the shore? The woman departed after instructing me. Soon, I heard footsteps approaching. Knowing it was my only chance to survive, I leaped into the water. I can’t recall how long I swam. When I dragged myself ashore, I was exhausted and collapsed into sleep. Later, the police discovered me and brought me back.”

Kathy’s uncontrollable weeping and the sheer terror in her eyes left no doubt about the authenticity of her ordeal. Those listening felt a wave of dread wash over them.

It was a harrowing tale of survival!

It also cast a dark shadow over Global Entertainment, suggesting a brutal disregard for the welfare of its actresses.

Kathy said, “I barely made it out alive, and I demand answers from Global Entertainment!” The comments flooded in with support for her.

Tatiana’s eyes widened in disbelief.

How could this be?

Kathy had survived!

“Tatiana, are you shocked? While you’ve been here maligning Isabella, Kathy has returned to unveil your deceit!” the woman said coldly.

It was then that Tatiana realized the looks directed at her were not of admiration and respect but of revulsion.

“It’s not true! If we really had taken Kathy, how could she have returned? This is all a scheme by Isabella!” Tatiana protested loudly.

“We all saw how you reacted! Do you think we’re fools?” the woman said, her anger deepened by her own friend’s tragedy. She demanded, “Apologize to Isabella!”

“I’ve done nothing wrong. You’ve all been fooled!” Tatiana exclaimed.

“Sure, Tatiana. Just wait,” the woman said with a sneer as she walked away.

A shiver of fear traveled down Tatiana’s spine.

Even though the woman hadn’t insisted on demanding an apology, Tatiana was left with a foreboding sense of dread.
