“It’s time to stop slandering Andrew,” Isabella said icily.

Sarai’s eyes glazed over, her strength drained, and she crumpled to the floor, overcome by hopelessness. Isabella then looked at Dora. “Mrs. Klein, you’ve been remarkably kind, always looking out for Sarai.”

Caught off guard, Dora felt a surge of revulsion toward Isabella but managed a forced, resigned smile. “I suppose I’m just someone who feels sorry for vulnerable women. But I always get duped. These people are absolutely vile.”

“If you can’t tell right from wrong, it’s better to stay quiet.” Damari’s voice thundered through the room, each word hitting Dora hard. “If people start thinking the Klein family is full of fools, we’ll become the butt of everyone’s jokes!”

Dora bit her lip slightly and finally nodded. “I understand. I’ll be more cautious from now on.”

Damari then addressed Andrew. “You haven’t done anything wrong this time. But if you ever cheat on Isabella, I’ll deal with you myself.”

“I understand, Grandpa. I care for Isabella deeply and would never cheat on her,” Andrew answered with a smile.

Damari grunted, then softened his gaze as he turned to Isabella. “Isabella, now that you’re with this troublemaker, I feel more at ease. If he ever wrongs you, tell me, and I’ll make sure he gets punished.”

“Absolutely, Damari,” Isabella responded with a warm smile.

“I hope you both stay happy,” Damari said gently, his genuine affection for Isabella evident in his tone.

At the same time, Dora felt heaviness in her chest. The old man was so unfairly biased! He clearly preferred Andrew over Corbett and Isabella over Tatiana! Was it just because Andrew’s parents passed away young? Damn it! This was so frustrating!

Sarai was quickly ushered out. She stumbled out of the Klein Manor, disoriented, and somehow found herself back at the hospital. Courtney, waiting in the hospital room, was excited to see Sarai come in and greeted her with a bright smile. “Mom, how did it go?”

But as she noticed Sarai’s strange expression, her smile faded. “Is Andrew still refusing?”

Sarai glanced at Courtney, her eyes filled with tears. She embraced Courtney and began crying uncontrollably.

Courtney, bewildered and increasingly anxious, asked, “Mom, what’s happening? Please tell me!”

“Courtney… that man wasn’t Andrew!” Sarai cried, nearly breaking down completely. She realized it was all over. They had angered both Glenn and Andrew; how could they possibly stay in Ansport now?

“Mom, have you been fooled by Andrew? I was there—I know it was Andrew!” Courtney insisted, her voice shaking.

“Courtney, didn’t you see Andrew leave a minute after you two went into the room?” Sarai asked, gripping Courtney’s shoulders tightly.

Courtney had never seen Sarai so devastated before. She took a moment to process what her mother had said and then responded, “I was in the middle of a daze and didn’t catch what was happening outside. But Andrew was clearly drunk—there’s no way he could have just left, right?”

Sarai’s tears flowed freely as she tried to explain, “Courtney, Andrew left the room. The person you were with wasn’t him at all.”

Courtney’s face turned ashen, and she shook her head vigorously. Disbelief etched across her features. “Mom, you’re mistaken. It had to be Andrew. There’s no way it wasn’t him.”

How could it not be Andrew? The idea that a stranger might have claimed her virginity sent a chill down her spine. If that were true, she had been a fool all this time, and the realization was almost unbearable. A chilling fear gripped her, but she stubbornly held on to her belief. “Mom, don’t be fooled. It has to be Andrew. I’m certain of it.”

Sarai’s phone buzzed insistently. She checked it and saw that the news was already making the rounds online, Andrew was actively working on clearing his name.

Sarai quickly pulled up the surveillance footage and showed it to Courtney.

After viewing it, Courtney was utterly shocked. Her expression alarmed Sarai, who shook her shoulders. “Courtney—stay with me!”

It took Courtney quite a while to recover from the shock. She clutched her head and then erupted into frantic laughter. “So this is what happened… I’m just a fool! A ridiculous fool!”

Sarai tried to calm Courtney down, suggesting their last resort. “Courtney, calm down. Let’s consider going abroad. It might be our best option now.”

“Mom…” Courtney collapsed into Sarai’s arms, crying uncontrollably. Her life felt completely ruined.

“Don’t cry, honey. We’ll leave right away,” Sarai said, frantically trying to book plane tickets, her hands shaking with anxiety.

But then, the door to the hospital room burst open, and the police came in. “Courtney, you’re under arrest for conspiring to harm someone. Please come with us immediately.”

It turned out that Isabella had tipped off the police about Courtney’s involvement in the attempted murder of her.

Courtney was trembling, her eyes empty and lost. Isabella had lived up to her promise; she had warned Courtney that if she caused trouble again, she’d get her arrested. Now, Courtney’s involvement in the attempted murder meant she was likely heading for prison, and her life was falling apart.

“Mom, please help me!” Courtney begged Sarai, her face full of desperation.

Sarai desperately wanted to help Courtney but felt helpless. She could only watch as the police took her daughter away. Through her tears, she reassured Courtney, “Don’t worry, sweetheart. I’ll find a way to save you.”

Courtney was taken to the police station. In the hospital ward, Sarai was deep in thought. Their family, while not the most powerful, had been well-respected in Ansport for their achievements in the art world. Now, it was a harsh reality that two members of their family were behind bars.

Sarai’s phone wouldn’t stop vibrating. She pulled it out and saw a flood of messages from her contacts. Everyone was shocked. Courtney had always been sensible—how could she be involved in something like this?

“Mrs. Patton, what happened exactly? Has Courtney lost her mind?”

“Mrs. Patton, my child doesn’t want to be taught by Courtney anymore.”

“Mrs. Patton, we want to cancel our contract with Courtney.”

Courtney had many students. Their parents had previously begged Sarai to let Courtney teach their children. Now, they were all demanding refunds after the scandal broke. The news had spread nationwide. If their children were taught by Courtney, it would make them the subject of ridicule.

Sarai felt a deep resentment. She saw these people as opportunists, quick to turn their backs when things went wrong. She was sure that Courtney would soon be behind bars. Now, nearly everyone online was talking about Courtney, and her scandal had overshadowed Tatiana’s news. Tatiana saw the news and understood that their plan had failed. But on the bright side, it meant that no one was focusing on her own scandal anymore.

Meanwhile, Andrew’s reputation had actually been enhanced. “Mr. Klein really is a model of the elite.”

“Mr. Klein is a great guy. I shouldn’t have trusted Courtney. She really is awful.”

“Courtney is so vicious. Thankfully, Mr. Klein has proof.”

“Many people were quick to criticize Andrew before, but now they must be regretting it. From what I hear, Courtney wasn’t a good person. Andrew is her cousin’s boyfriend. How could she be so brainless as to do something like that?”

“Haha. Can you believe Courtney is a teacher? It’s such bad luck for her students to have her as a teacher!”

“My kid is one of her students. I’m definitely going to demand a refund right away.”

“I just heard the latest news—Courtney’s been arrested!”

“What’s going on? Please get into the details of what happened!”

“I saw Courtney being taken away by the police and getting into their car. I’m not sure why yet.”

“Did Courtney actually commit a crime? Oh my God, that’s awful! How can someone like her be a teacher? It feels like our country’s future is in jeopardy!”

Tatiana was taken aback when she heard that Courtney had been arrested. She tried to piece things together. It must be because Courtney had plotted with Eliza to try to murder Isabella. When Isabella had returned unharmed, Eliza had quickly been jailed, but Courtney seemed to have avoided any trouble. It appeared that Isabella had initially spared Courtney.

However, now, Isabella was unwilling to forgive her.

Tatiana rubbed her temples, feeling a headache coming on. How did things end up like this? They were completely useless!

Tatiana was feeling overwhelmed. How was she going to explain this to Corbett? Just as she was getting more frustrated, her phone rang.

“Tatiana, it’s been ages! I’m coming back next week. Let’s catch up over dinner,” the woman’s voice was soothing, soft, and carried an air of grace.

Tatiana usually maintained an aloof demeanor, but hearing this voice made her instantly soften. “Jada, you’re coming back?”

“Yes, it’s been ages since we last met, so I’d love to catch up. There will be many friends there, so you must join!”

“Of course,” Tatiana replied with a smile, feeling a wave of relief. The weight on her shoulders seemed to lift a little.

Jada was not just any woman—she was the renowned young lady in Ansport, famous and influential from a young age, expected to inherit the Riggs family’s vast wealth. This influential figure was also stunningly beautiful, a dream girl for many young men in Ansport.

Tatiana and Jada had met at an event and exchanged numbers. Tatiana knew the vast difference in their social standings, but Jada was down-to-earth and approachable, so she took the opportunity to build a connection, and over time, their relationship grew closer.

Meanwhile, inside a luxurious car, Isabella couldn’t help but smile, feeling in high spirits.

“Why do I get the feeling that you’re happier than I am now that my problem is sorted?” Andrew asked, looking at Isabella.

Isabella cleared her throat, feeling slightly embarrassed. When she caught Andrew’s gentle, teasing look, she felt as if he was with her. He had been cool and composed when they first met, but over time, he had grown more affectionate. Isabella couldn’t help but feel a bit overwhelmed by his charm.

She replied, “Well, it’s because you’re my boyfriend. I feel just as upset when you’re criticized.”
