“Glenn has been through so much. To think Rowan would turn against him!”

“The Chapman Group is trying to capitalize on this mess. They don’t deserve any sympathy!”

With a sudden burst of conviction, Rowan proclaimed, “I can prove that Jeffry hired someone to steal the Patton Group’s blueprints.”

Gasps erupted in the room, and viewers across the internet were taken aback. Sarai and Courtney stared at the screen, shock etched on their faces.

“Is he serious?” Courtney whispered, bewildered.

Rowan turned to Jeffry, his resolve strengthening. “I helped him steal those blueprints.”

Silence enveloped the room. Reporters were wide-eyed, capturing the confession that sent shockwaves through the gathering.

“Rowan, you can’t be serious!” Jeffry’s disbelief transformed into anger.

Glenn’s expression remained steady. “You thought you could manipulate this situation, but now the truth is out.”

Jeffry stammered, “It was just a misunderstanding. I didn’t mean for it to go this far!”

“Trying to cover your tracks won’t work now,” Glenn asserted, his voice firm.

“Mr. Patton, it’s all just a mistake. We were only concerned!” Phyllis added, her voice strained.

Glenn raised an eyebrow. “Concerned? You thought you could frame us and just walk away?”

Jeffry attempted to salvage the situation, “I’ve never set foot in the Patton Group! You can’t pin this on me!”

Rowan felt the weight of the room’s attention, the expectations crushing down on him.

Just then, the police entered, their presence commanding immediate attention. “Jeffry Chapman, Rowan Patton, we need you to come with us. There are allegations against you regarding the theft of company assets.”

Eliza panicked, “Rowan, you need to explain this!”

But before Rowan could respond, Isabella walked in, interrupting the chaos. “I have evidence that Eliza hired a hitman.”

The atmosphere shifted dramatically as everyone turned to face her.

Isabella, once presumed dead, stood defiantly, her presence commanding the room.

“Isabella, you’re alive?” Eliza gasped, disbelief etched on her features.

Isabella smiled lightly. “Yes, I’m very much alive. Are you disappointed?”

“Wait, what?” Eliza struggled to find her words, caught in a whirlwind of confusion.

Isabella addressed the police, “I can prove Eliza’s involvement in this.”

The officers looked at Eliza with renewed scrutiny. “Eliza Chapman, you’ll need to accompany us as well.”

As Phyllis sat there, dazed by the sudden turn of events, she could hardly comprehend the chaos unraveling before her.

Glenn and Isabella stepped away, leaving the reporters to bombard Phyllis with questions.

“Mrs. Chapman, how do you feel about the unfolding events?”

“Were you aware of Eliza’s alleged involvement in a plot?”

“What are your plans moving forward?”

Phyllis, feeling isolated amidst the frenzy, slowly gathered herself, but the weight of her family’s unraveling legacy pressed heavily on her heart.

The Whole Family Cared About Her

Phyllis stood up in a daze, quietly leaving the room. Meanwhile, Glenn and Isabella got into the car, and Glenn’s eyes scanned his daughter with concern etched on his face before he pulled her into a tight embrace. “Are you really okay, my darling?”

“Dad, Andrew already told you—I’m fine. Stop worrying,” Isabella reassured him, her voice calm and comforting.

“I know, but I couldn’t help but worry. Where have you been all this time?”

“I was in a very safe place, Dad. I’ve been investigating who tried to kill me. I have solid proof now—it was Eliza who hired the hitman.” Isabella’s expression darkened. “Eliza was doing well in Gemond, so why would she suddenly come to Ansport and want me dead? Something didn’t add up, so I dug deeper and found out Courtney had been in contact with her.”

A resolute fire ignited in Glenn’s eyes. “They won’t escape justice.”

Isabella said nothing more, knowing her father would take the lead from here.

When they arrived home, Dane and Howard were already there, their concern evident. The moment they spotted Isabella, they rushed over, with Howard reaching her first and wrapping her in a tight embrace. “Isabella, we’ve been so worried about you.”

“I’m alright now. I’m sorry for putting you through this,” Isabella said, feeling a deep warmth from their care.

Dane looked at her with concern. “Please, don’t ever put yourself in that kind of danger again. I know you were prepared, but if you knew someone was after you, you should have told us.”

“I know, and I’m sorry. I didn’t expect them to be so bold, but I’m back, safe and sound,” Isabella replied, offering a reassuring smile.

Dane gently pinched her cheek, his expression serious. “These people are dangerous, Isabella. You were lucky this time, but what if things had gone differently?”

“I know… I’m sorry,” Isabella murmured.

“So, as your punishment, you’re staying home for the next few days. No work. You need to reflect on this,” Dane said, trying to sound stern.

“Okay!” Isabella agreed, a small smile playing on her lips.

She knew this was Dane’s way of showing how much he loved her.

Howard, ever the peacemaker, grinned. “Don’t take Dane too seriously. He may talk tough, but he has a soft spot for you. Besides, you do need some rest, and I’ll cook for you.”

Isabella nodded, trusting Howard’s cooking skills. As Glenn watched their exchange, relief washed over him. He quickly sent a message to Elaine to let her know Isabella was home.

Within moments, Elaine called.

“Isabella, your mom’s on the phone,” Glenn said, passing the phone to Isabella.

As soon as Isabella answered, Elaine’s voice, choked with emotion, spilled through the line. “Isabella, it’s all my fault…”

Isabella’s heart ached at her mother’s distress, and she spoke soothingly, offering words of comfort.

Time seemed to stretch as golden afternoon light filtered through the windows, casting the room in a warm, serene glow. Isabella knew this day would be etched in her memory, a moment frozen in time.

To celebrate her return, Howard went into the kitchen, whipping up a special meal that filled the house with rich, comforting aromas.

Andrew joined them, and as the family gathered around the table, the dark cloud of rumors that had once hung over the Patton Group evaporated, replaced by a chorus of admiration. Glenn’s sharp intellect left everyone in awe. Seated beside Isabella, Andrew found it hard to look away from her.

Noticing his gaze, Isabella felt a flutter of self-consciousness. “Why are you staring at me like that?” she asked playfully.

Andrew’s reply was soft, tinged with vulnerability. “I’m just thinking… maybe I should have bodyguards shadow you every day. The thought of losing you is unbearable.”

Isabella offered a reassuring smile, her voice gentle. “Don’t worry, I promise I won’t act recklessly again. I’ve survived this—what else could hurt me? Eliza and her father are behind bars now. No one’s going to come after me again.”

But her words didn’t entirely ease the tension in Andrew’s eyes, and he wasn’t the only one who remained unconvinced.

For the first time, Dane sided with Andrew, his voice firm. “Andrew’s right. Having bodyguards around you is the correct decision.”

Howard nodded, his expression serious. “You never know what could happen. Better to be safe.”

Glenn, ever the strategist, added, “Bodyguards won’t just protect you—they’ll be there to assist you with anything you need.”

It was clear the entire family shared the same protective instinct, their concern for Isabella’s safety unspoken but deeply felt.

But Isabella really didn’t want bodyguards tailing her every day!
