Filed To Story: Mated To Big Brother-in-law
“Don’t forget that I haven’t punished you for what you did in my office this morning.”
His warning gave her a shiver in her spine. She slowly turned her head to look at him.
His gloomy face turned her heart cold. It reminded her of what Victor told her a few days ago.
‘He will cage you forever.’
She shut her eyes and took a deep breath, then mumbled,
“Alpha Bryan, reject me.”
Bryan was taken aback. He grabbed her jaw and lifted it to make her look at him.
“What did you just say?”
She looked into his eyes and replied,
“I said reject me.”
“You will die.”
“Is that so? Then why did you tell my brother that you had a way to break the bond?”
He averted his eyes from her. “I lied to him so that he could concentrate on his training.”
She scoffed at him, pushing his hand away from her jaw.
“I knew it. You did not even dare to tell my brother how you played with his innocent sister. What about those nights you spent with his sister, knowing that you would never accept her as your mate?”
Bryan stared at her for a while. Her eyes had a flame in them that he had never seen before.
He sighed and lifted his hand. He stroked her hair and muttered,
“Don’t be stubborn; be a good girl. This behavior doesn’t suit you. I don’t want to get mad at you either.”
Sophia stared at him. His touches made her feel disgusted because she was aware of his intentions.
It was not out of love, but only lust.
“Your brother cheated on me. I never looked back at him after that. Do you know why? Because I have self-respect.”
She smiled at him bitterly, then continued,
“It was only you for whom I stooped down so low. Otherwise, no other man can play with me like that.”
Brayn’s hand froze on her hair. She removed his hand from her head and pushed it lightly.
“I wish I could give you the suffering I am going through right now.”
Her pale face darkened as she glared at him.
“I wish I could stab your heart with my own hands and tell you how I felt after you stabbed mine so many times.”
Bryan turned away from her and made his way to the door.
“When Abraham arrives here, go home with him. I’m clearing the bills before leaving,” he said.
“No, you don’t have to.”
His steps halted. He turned around and looked at her.
“What’s wrong with you? How long will you pretend to be like this? How long are you going to stay away from me? One day you will have to come back to me.”
“Don’t expect me to return to your dark world as your dirty secret. I will not go anywhere from here, either. I will stay here and watch how cruel you can be.”
She reached out and grabbed the railing on the side of the bed, and then she slowly stepped down from it.
Bryan chose to ignore her comments and instead made his way back to her when he noticed that she was about to fall. He wrapped his hands around her to support her.
She pushed him hard, which stunned him. He was caught off guard by the way she was acting today.
“I am feeling disgusted by your every touch. It’s good that we met again. I want to tell you how I regret meeting you in my life. I wish I had never met you, Bryan.”
He froze at her words. It was the second time she called him by his name. Until today, she had never done that. She used to softly address him as “Mate” or “Alpha.”
She had never shown him this side of hers. He used to think that she was a soft girl.
“Before you regret what you are saying, stop talking. You are the one who needs me. Not me, who needs you.” he muttered, glaring at her.
She felt a shudder inside her. “Need you? Why would I need you? I don’t need a man who is going to join his name with someone else. I am not a gold digger who would roam around you even after learning her place in your eyes. Maybe you are the gold digger who wants to gain someone else’s pac…”
“Sophia.”
His voice came out as a warning. Though she trembled inside at his cold gaze and warning, she did not show it to him.
“I will pray that you will fall for someone and never have her in your life. That day, you will realize what you are making me feel. I hate you, Bryan Morrison. I hate you. I want to see your downfall. You will lose everything one day.”
Bryan clenched his jaw as if it were enough for him. He nodded his head and muttered,
“It will always be in your dreams. No one has the power to defeat me. And you wanted to leave, right? Then go and hide wherever you want. I won’t stop you. Always remember that Alpha Bryan doesn’t care about anyone. He doesn’t need anyone, not even a mate. I don’t need your permission to marry someone else. You are nothing to me. It was your luck that you are my mate, and I was just protecting you.”
His eyes glowed like fire. Tears filled Sophia’s eyes. But she was adamant about not letting him see her tears.
He turned around and went to the door. He opened the door and turned his head in her direction.
“From today on, you are free. Don’t dare to appear in front of my eyes. Stay away from my brother as well. If I see you around him, I will kill him first, then come to hunt you.”
Sophia was furious. She threw the pillow at him. However, he had already left the cabin.
“I hate you. You hate that I fell for a man like you. I will break your arrogance, Bryan Morrison. I just hate you.”
Bryan heard everything she had said since her voice was loud enough to be audible outside.
His eyes were dim, and his face looked furious.
He did not know why she was behaving like that suddenly. Or perhaps she was after the position from the beginning?
Didn’t he make it clear to her that he did not like attachments? Then why did she want a name when he himself said he would be with her?
People looked at him as he moved to the hallway. Some of them recognized him and bowed to him. He ignored them as he was losing his mind.
He pulled out his phone from his pocket and dialed a number.
The other person received the call right away.
“Alpha.”
Bryan’s eyes became cloudy as the darkness under the clouds deepened.
“Stop following her from now on.”
“Alpha, are you sure?”
“Hmm. Don’t need to inform me about her anymore.”
“Yes, Alpha.”
Bryan put his phone away from his ear and cut the call.
When he came out of the hospital, he noticed Abraham had just arrived there.
“Alpha.”
“Your sister is inside.”
“Thank you for helping, Alpha.”
He did not reply to anything. Abraham bowed to him and rushed inside the hospital.
Abraham inquired about Sophia’s cabin at the reception and hurried to see his sister.
As soon as he entered the cabin, his eyes widened.
“Sophia!”
She was sitting on the floor, leaning her back against the bed.
She was calm, but her eyes were fixed on the floor.
