It was late afternoon when Sophia got ready to head to the airport. They were leaving the River Moon Pack tonight.
When she came here, everything was different. Now, she was closer to Bryan than before.
While she was combing her hair and looking at her phone, she caught a glimpse of the medicine packet that was sitting on the nightstand.
As soon as Bryan decided to leave the hotel room, he instructed a woman to bring the pill to the room.
She immediately took the pill without giving it any thought. She was aware of these pills. Bryan wanted her to take that so that she would not get pregnant.
For once, she thought about the future. How happy their lives would be once they had children!
She patted her red cheeks and concentrated on the time.
Her phone rang and she found it under the bed. The bed was messed up by how they had used it. When the staff arrived to clean the room, it is possible that they failed to notice that her phone was lying on the floor while they were cleaning.
Sophia noticed that Bryan had sent her a message. He said he was outside the hotel, waiting for her.
Sophia checked out of the hotel and saw Bryan sitting in a car. Their luggage was already set up in the trunk of the car.
As she got closer to the car, the driver emerged from the vehicle and opened the back door for her.
She sat beside Bryan, and the driver started the car, heading in the direction of the airport.
Bryan turned his head and asked, “How are you right now?”
Sophia bit her lower lip while turning her head to the other side. “I’m fine.”
He was asking about the pain in her lower body. She was limping after they had done that again in the morning.
Within an hour, they arrived at the airport terminal.
While Sophia was busy holding Bryan’s hand while walking ahead, another person entered the airport.
His eyes landed on them, and his gaze paused on her. He ignored the man, who was walking next to her, as he stared at Sophia until she faded from his sight.
The corner of his lips tugged in a curve as he muttered,
“Sophia Berge.”
A few months passed.
Everything had changed as time passed.
Sophia began to spend more time on her studies since her final exams were running.
There was no doubt that she was a hard-working girl. However, Bryan was the one person in her hectic life who made her feel at ease.
That one night changed her life. Though Bryan did not change much, his behavior toward her turned softer.
There were no barriers between them. She went to him whenever she was not feeling well and he listened to her calmly.
Despite the fact that she was still his personal secretary, Bryan granted her a one-week leave to study hard for her exams. She believed he did not want her to feel unbearable pressure.
“Sophia”
She heard her mother calling her from downstairs. In a hurry, she made her way to the stairs and uttered,
“Coming, Mom.”
“Dear, your friend is waiting for you. Hurry up.”
Sophia ran to her room to take her bag and phone, then hurried downstairs.
She noticed that Sara was sitting on the couch. She waved at Sophia.
“Good morning, babe.”
“Good Morning.”
With a huff, Sophia sat down next to her. Sara turned her head toward her and winked at her.
“Nowadays, you are losing more than enough strength. Did you and Alpha last nigh… Ouch!”
Before Sara could finish, Sophia hit her arm. “Shut up. My mom will hear you,” she whispered angrily.
Sara rubbed her arm, then laughed at Sophia’s face. She was glancing with a nervous face to see if her mother had heard them by any chance.
“Babe, come on. It will not be long when everyone will get to know who is the mate of the Alpha of our pack.”
Sophia lowered her head with a blush on her face. Sara leaned close to her ear and whispered,
“The Luna of our pack.”
Sophia covered her face with her hands. “I can’t believe we are developing our relationship slowly every day. I am afraid someone will take everything away from me.”
Sara hugged her. “It’s your fate. How can someone take that away from you? Don’t overthink wasting your present happy times.”
Sophia moved her hands away from her and looked at Sara with a smile.
“You are right. I should not think about these types of things.”
They talked for a while until Sophia’s mother called them to the table.
“Breakfast is ready, girls.”
Because Sophia and Sara were best friends, Sara had a very good relationship with Sophia’s mother. Sara went to hug Sophia’s mother and said,
“Thanks, Aunt. I was feeling so hungry.”
Sophia chuckled while looking at them. Three of them had breakfast. Later, Sophia and Sara headed to the university in Sara’s car.
During the whole ride, Sophia fixed her eyes on the notes. Today was their last exam.
“I bet you will score top in the class. There is no one who can beat you in scores. I can’t understand why you are even studying so hard.”
“Sara, let me read these points,” Sophia said, covering her ears with her palms so that Sara could not distract her.
Sara laughed at her cute reaction. She took out her phone from the bag and began to chat with Nolan, telling him she was on the way.
When they arrived at their university, they hurried to their class.
After the exam, they met at the cafe. Nolan was also with them.
As Sophia sat on the chair, her eyes fell on the couple, who looked lovey-dovey.
Nolan and Sara were a really romantic couple. Sophia could see how they were playing hands under the table.
“What is your plan, Sophia?” Nolan asked.
“What plan?”
“Sara planned to go out of the pack after the exams. So today we will go on our vacation. What’s your plan? Are you going anywhere with Alpha?”
Nolan was also aware of the fact that Sophia was developing a close relationship with Bryan. It made him happy to see that she was able to find happiness in her life.
Sophia rested her chin on her hand and thought about it. She had not decided to go on a vacation.
Her mate was not any ordinary person but the head Alpha of the pack. She could not just expect him to go anywhere with her.
She remembered how, last time, she went out of the pack with Bryan. For her, it was more of a vacation than anything else.
“I had already gone out of the pack a few months ago. Now all I need to do is focus on my work.”
Sara let out a sigh of disappointment. “How can you be so unromantic, babe? Do something with him and enjoy your vacation here even if you are not going anywhere outside the pack.”
Sophia’s cheeks heated when she thought about it. She turned her head to Nolan, who also looked surprised by Sara’s words.
“Tell your girlfriend to shut her mouth. Oh my god! It’s so embarrassing!”
Sara winked at Sophia. Nolan chuckled as he shook his head.
“You were the one who told me to take care of your beloved friend when I found her to be my mate. Now I have already spoiled her. I can do nothing now.”
