Their gaze landed on her. They waved at her. She gave them a small smile.
“Hello,” she greeted them.
“Hello, beauty,” Edger said, winking at her.
She blushed and looked away from him. Robert went to sit on a chair at the desk.
Edger laughed when he saw Sophia’s cheeks flushing red. He turned around, and his eyes fell on Bryan, who was looking at him.
“Bro, come on. It was just a wink. There is no need to feel overly possessive.”
Sophia was stunned by his statement toward Bryan. She glanced at Bryan, who rolled his eyes at Edger.
She cleared her throat and said,
“Alpha, I’m going to my cabin. I will inform you when Alpha Noble arrives here.”
When she got no answer from Bryan, she left the cabin. She waited for Alpha Noble’s arrival at the company.
After receiving the news from the receptionist that Alpha Noble had arrived, she did not waste any time and headed straight to Bryan’s cabin.
She informed the three people to come to the conference room. All of them went there together.
When Sophia entered the conference room, she noticed all the managers of every department were present there.
They stood up and bowed to Bryan as he proceeded to the head chair.
Alpha Noble also got to his feet when Bryan came close to his chair. They greeted each other by shaking hands.
Alpha Noble was a middle-aged man who seemed to be experienced in the business world.
As the meeting started, Sophia stood beside Bryan while holding a file. Troy was making a move with his hand to wave at her, and she cast a glance in his direction.
Following the exchange of a smile with him, she returned to her professional demeanor.
“You will get 65% profit, but what will my pack get in return?” Alpha Noble asked the marketing manager, who had just presented the project on the projector.
Every manager tried to put their points forward in an effort to convince Alpha Noble.
“What else?” Once again, Alpha Noble inquired.
When Sophia noticed that Alpha Noble did not appear to be willing to accept the agreement, she pondered about it and then replied,
“You are receiving support from our pack. This is the most significant opportunity for you to investigate further fields. I believe this reason is enough for you to accept the deal.”
Everyone turned their heads at her in shock. She shrugged her shoulders. She was a business student. She could see what strategy Alpha Noble was using. He had the desire to accept the deal, but he was merely trying to get an edge through negotiation.
Alpha Noble looked impressed by her words. He turned his attention to Bryan and chuckled.
“Your secretary is smart. She knows what to say in any situation.”
Bryan looked indifferently at him. Sophia was perplexed as to why, on earth, he had not yet made an effort to convince Alpha Noble.
“Do you also have something to say, Alpha Bryan?” Alpha Noble asked.
Bryan gave him a nod. He looked at Beta Robert, who handed him the cigarette packet, as if Bryan had asked for it in his mind link.
Bryan pulled out a cigarette and put it between his lips.
Sophia was shocked. During the meeting, smoking was considered to be a form of disrespectful behavior toward the other Alphas. After all, it’s a professional conference.
However, he was Alpha Bryan. In no way did he follow any of the regulations.
Sophia stepped aside when Edger stood up and came to light Bryan’s cigarette.
She was able to get a sense of the entire room becoming anxious. The gaze of Alpha Noble was fixed on Alpha Bryan.
“70% of the profit,” Bryan replied after taking a moment to inhale the smoke.
Alpha Noble frowned at him with a confused look. “What do you mean?”
“I want 70% of the profit,” Bryan remarked as he removed the cigarette from his mouth and held it between his two fingers.
Alpha Noble and his beta, who had come with him, looked at Bryan in shock.
“But we were talking about 65%, and you agreed with it.”
Bryan scoffed at him. “What about wasting my time for the past twenty minutes?”
“But don’t you think you need to convince me?”
Bryan raised a brow and asked,
“Do you really think Alpha Bryan needs to convince anyone? Other Alphas are perishing to get the deal. Go and give it to one of them.”
Sophia was shocked when she heard Bryan’s warning directed toward Alpha Noble since she thought that Bryan would let the deal go.
In a situation where people tried to convince others, he liked to warn them.
“If you go out of my pack without signing the deal, I will close every border for your pack business. Let’s see which pack will come to your aid when your pack members start starving to death.”
The declaration that Bryan made startled everyone in the room. It came out like an open challenge to Alpha Noble. As soon as the managers realized that their Alpha had become angry, they all lowered their heads in agreement.
On the other hand, Sophia was fixated on Bryan the entire time. He was an arrogant man who did not like to lose. If he wanted to have what he aimed for, he would do everything to get it.
Well, he caught Alpha Noble’s weakness, and he used it in the meeting since he was a mighty man who could do all those things that he was saying.
For once, Sophia felt the man she was staring at was a whole different person. Though he got mad at her sometimes, the way he was looking at Alpha Noble, it was something else. His eyes were dark, and his face was relaxed.
It was more frightening than a man who looked mad.
Sophia felt a sudden urge to see him in his wolf form. The man who was cold in front of other Alphas what would his wolf look like?
Suddenly, she remembered the last time she shifted in the woods. It had been a while. She wanted to go for a run. She desired to take in the crisp air and bask in the glow of the moonlight without any restriction.
While looking at Bryan, she was so lost in her thoughts that she had missed the conversation running in the room.
She came out of her thoughts when she heard Alpha Noble.
“Alpha Bryan, take my apology if I somehow offend you,” Alpha Noble spoke.
Bryan nodded his head slightly in response. Sophia’s eyes shifted to Bryan once again. His lips were biting the cigarette between them. She gulped when she remembered how those lips tasted. She felt them softly when they touched hers that night.
“How can I take your apology when you are not here to come for business but to wail for profits?” Bryan asked.
Alpha Noble’s beta stood up and said,
“My Alpha came here with the intention of giving the deal to your pack. However, we ended up offending you unintentionally. Forgive us.”
Beta Robert looked at the man and replied,
“Only the land is yours. But the whole investment is ours. How can you think of getting more than 35%?”
Delta Edger did not halt himself either, as he said, “Since Alpha wanted 70%, now you will have to give us 70%. End of the discussion.”
Alpha Noble and his beta exchanged a glance, then nodded at each other.
During the time Alpha Noble and his beta discussed it with each other in their mind links, Bryan kept his gaze on them while smoking. It looked as if he was reading their minds.
Sophia bit her bottom lip as she observed Bryan carefully. No matter what he did, it always appeared to be mysterious.
He was the king of mysteries and enigmas. She was confused as to why Bryan was so furious today. It was clear that his mood was not fine at all. She kept thinking about what Bruce had said to him that made him this mad.
“Okay, Alpha Bryan. I agree with your decision. But as you are getting more profit than we expected before, please don’t forget to look after my pack.”
Bryan took the last puff before throwing the cigarette and looking at him.
“Of course. I have no reason to attack your pack. You are making me happy; I’ll make your pack members happy.”
One of the employees stood up and rushed to the printer when Delta Edgar added the new clause of profit to the contract.
When Alpha Noble finally got his hands on the contract documents, he went through the process of reading them over and over again before signing them.
“Don’t worry. I never backstab others. But if they try to trick me, I stab them in their chest directly.”
Bryan’s words froze everyone. Alpha Noble slowly handed the papers to him.
Bryan signed the papers and then stood up. Following him, everyone got to their feet.
