He replied in a few seconds, as if he were waiting for me.
“I want you to place them in the flower vase on your desk so that it can give you refreshment when you work.”
Sophia raised her brows. He knew every detail of her cabin.
Of course, he knew. After all, he was the CEO of this company.
“Okay.”
She waited for another message, but when she noticed she did not get any reply, she stood up and put the flower in the vase. Then she continued to work.
She did not need to go to Bryan’s cabin again. The whole day, she concentrated on her work without any disruption.
When it was time to leave the office, she left her cabin and turned in the direction of Bryan’s cabin.
She noticed that Bryan was also coming out of his cabin. She gave him a nod and headed to the elevator together.
She smiled sheepishly as she thought about the flowers he had sent for her today. His messages were killing her inside with devotion.
As soon as they entered the elevator, she lowered her head and did not engage in any conversation with him.
When he turned his head to face her, he asked,
“What is my schedule for tomorrow?”
She looked at him and replied, “You have a meeting tomorrow morning.”
“With whom?”
“With Alpha Simmon.”
He gave her a nod and switched his attention to the door as it opened. They exited the elevator and made their way to the entrance of the company.
As they came out of the company, Sophia noticed Delta Edger.
Edger gave her a kind wave before approaching them.
“Hi, what’s up?”
Sophia greeted him with a grin and remarked that she was doing well. While Bryan was looking at him, he inquired about the cause of his sudden arrival.
“You need to come with me,” Delta Edger said to Bryan.
Sophia let the Alpha and Delta talk to each other as she bowed her head to Bryan and said,
“Alpha, I’m leaving.”
Bryan frowned at her. “Where?”
“To my house.”
Wasn’t it obvious? Why did he even ask? She realized that he might have wanted to drop her off.
“It’s late. My driver will drop you off at your house,” Bryan said, motioning to his driver, who was standing outside his car, waiting for him.
His driver opened the back door for Sophia.
She glanced at Bryan’s car and asked him,
“Aren’t you going with Edger?”
Edger raised his brow as he noticed them talking.
“I will go with him in his car. You can go with my car. I don’t think it’s safe for you to go alone.”
In a surprised expression, Sophia parted her lips. Bryan had demonstrated his concern for her in a straightforward manner.
She blushed and got in his car. The driver closed the door and proceeded to the driver’s seat.
Bryan lowered himself to the window and looked at Sophia.
“Don’t go to the university tomorrow.”
“W-Why?” She asked while looking at his handsome face.
“You must come and pick me up from my house in the morning. My secretary should be with me in the meeting.”
Sophia stared at Bryan’s back until he got in Edger’s car and left. Bryan’s driver started the car and drove in the direction of her house.
In order to suppress her smile, Sophia bit the bottom of her lip. The manner in which he lowered himself toward the window a short while ago almost caused her to lose her breath.
She had no idea how they became so close that he started to talk so softly with her. Today, he did not show any signs of rage. In fact, he came closer to her.
Slowly, she raised her hand and brought it to her neck. She let out a deep breath while thinking about how his nose touched her neck when they were in his cabin. If Abraham had not called at that time, who knew what was on Bryan’s mind?
Leaning her back against the seat, she closed her eyes. There was a sheepish smile on her face, which she wanted to hide from the whole world.
In all of the walls of her heart, there was only one person’s face that started to become clear, and that name was
“Bryan.’
He was now in her imagination and dreams. Her wolf was only howling out one name, and that was the name of her mate.
It was not because of the mate bond, but she did end up falling in love with Bryan. She lost her heart to him.
She recalled Bryan’s words that he told her today. Assuring her that he was not a womanizer, he made it clear that she would not have to think about the possibility of him connecting with another woman. Not only that, he almost confessed his feelings for her by saying that she caught his attention and he did not want to let her go.
“Miss, we arrived at your home.” The driver spoke out.
Sophia opened her eyes and realized that she had been drawn into Bryan’s thoughts so that she could not feel when the car stopped moving.
“Thank you,” she remarked with a grin to the driver and a pleasant tone of voice.
Despite the fact that the driver was a young man, it appeared as though he had been working for Bryan for a considerable amount of time.
It seemed as though he was taken aback by her kind behavior. He had the impression that the woman who was receiving Alpha’s attention would be the one to be arrogant.
After giving her a slight nod of his head, he exited the vehicle and then opened the door for her.
She got out of the car and walked toward her house. As she was going to use her keys to unlock the door, she noticed someone opening the door from inside.
“Sophia,” her mother said the moment she opened the door.
She gave her mother a hug before accompanying her into the house. Today, her mother appeared to be in a high mood.
“What’s the matter, Mom? Is there something special?”
“No, my baby. Your brother called me today.”
“Oh, that’s good news.” Sophia said as she took a seat on the couch with her mother.
“What did he say?” she asked.
“He was asking about you.”
“Mom, did you tell him about…”
“No. I didn’t. I told him that you were doing a job for another company. He asked me why I allowed you to go without thinking about your safety. I said my friend’s son is also working there, and he took care of you.”
Sophia sighed while shaking her head. “Mom, no one is my babysitter.”
Her mother stroked her head and replied,
“You know I had to say something to your brother. As you told me, I didn’t tell him about your job at Morrison Group.”
“Thank you, Mom.” I embraced her.
They had dinner while talking about how they could surprise Abraham when he returned home.
“Your brother was saying that Alpha promised to train him. Because he was having difficulties with some of his practice, Alpha gave him assurance about it. We are blessed to have an Alpha like him,” Sophia’s mother said to her.
Sophia chewed her food while smiling. “You are right. We are blessed.”
Within her heart, she had the feeling that she was extremely fortunate to have him as her mate.
After saying good night to her mother, Sophia went to her room. Having changed out of her dress and into her pajamas, she then climbed onto the bed.
As soon as she closed her eyes, she began to recall everything that had occurred over the day. When she thought about the increasing closeness that she and Bryan had developed toward one another, she covered her face with her blanket.
