I sighed, leaning my head on his shoulder.

He kissed my head and whispered, “Then let’s not let this day end.”

“How? Did we not visit every place on this beach?”

I murmured.

“Not every place. There is one place that we have not visited,”

he remarked.

“What place?”

I pulled away from his shoulder in confusion.

He only smiled in response which set off a warning bell in my mind before we stood in front of the most unexpected place. I could not help but narrow my eyes at Reuben. “A costume house?”

“Yeah,”

he grinned.

This costume house was specifically for couples, where they were supposed to write a chit for their partner stating what costume they wanted to see them in. It was like a blind play because your partner would not know what you had written on the chit until you were all dressed up by the staff.

“I am not playing!”

I firmly stated.

“Why?”

He pouted.

“I clearly remember this costume house game from a fair that had been held while we had been in high school! You wrote down a monkey costume for me then made fun of me the entire time. I know you are planning something far worse this time. I am not going!”

I turned to leave, “Willow, wait…”

Reuben tried to chase after me only to accidentally bump into another woman.

“I am sorry,”

the woman quickly apologized even though her dress was ruined from the drink she was holding.

I couldn’t help but frown as she was eyeing Reuben.

“It’s alright. I will pay for your ruined dress,”

Reuben pulled out his wallet to offer only to be stopped by her.

“Please instead of compensation, how about you become my partner for the costume house,”

she innocently blinked her eyes and her short height helped her to look that way too, “You see I am alone and you don’t seem to have a partner so how about we two…”

“He has a partner!”

I grabbed Reuben’s hand, glared at the woman for daring to flirt with my mate. Nowadays, it was really risky to let your man wander around alone at the beach!

We both entered the costume house, which I regretted after 10 seconds. Shit! Now I could not retreat! I could not help but look at Reuben’s evil smile. He was happy for many reasons, one of them was I had gotten jealous and the other was I was finally here to play.

I grabbed his collar and pulled him down so that we were face to face, “I am telling you right now, if you write down something ridiculous then I will kill you!”

Instead of replying he just grinned at me and that pissed me off. While writing the chit, I looked at him in a warning but I sighed helplessly in my heart. I could not imagine in what form I wanted to see Reuben. I bit my thumb for a couple of seconds before something came to my mind. I neatly wrote the words and could not help but smile.

Once we both put the chit in their respective jars, we were asked to go into our separate rooms where they were about to dress us. As expected, to keep the game fair they blindfolded me.

I just sighed deeply and did what the female asked me. I donned the dress with her help, I was not supposed to touch it at all. After getting dressed up, she started my makeup, I was immediately alarmed. What exactly was she doing? She also started doing something to my hair that did not seem right. I badly wanted to put off the blindfold when she started putting something in my hair.

Wait! Was she making me a witch?! Yes! I was sure she was dressing me as a witch!

I secretly gritted my teeth. Reuben really had a death wish!

A long time later, when she probably made me an evil bitch, she asked me to get up and led to the door. When I stepped out, I was ready to teach Reuben a good lesson. Why was he so silent? Could it be that he was silently laughing at me or maybe taking a video or photo?! I took off the blindfold ready to beat him to death, “Reuben!”

I growled but paused in surprise because what I saw in front of me was not a room but a beach full of Emerald Bright pack members, our friends, and our children.

Everyone was standing dressed in their finest clothes, in two rows, and the whole area had been decorated so beautifully that I felt as if I was in a dream. Reuben stood in a black suit in the middle of the venue, smiling at me.

“Reuben… what’s going on?”

I almost whispered.

He walked closer to me, his eyes admiring me from head to toe before he took my hand, “Willow, will you marry me and become my Luna?”

he asked.

I gasped and my eyes widened. I could not help but look at my reflection in his eyes. I looked like a bride…

The dress I was wearing was a bridal gown and the man in front of me was not only my soulmate but the man that wanted to be my husband…

It turned out that Reuben had been planning all of these for days, he had brought me to this beach for this very purpose. This was not only our wedding but my official Luna ceremony.

He nervously looked into my eyes, desperate to hear my answer.

My heart skipped a beat as a smile came over my lips, “I do,”

my eyes watered slightly in happiness.

Reuben smiled as well, wrapped his arms around my waist, and pulled me into a kiss. The venue echoed with cheers for Reuben and I.

“Willow, let’s grow old together and never leave each other until our last breaths,”

he gently broke the kiss and slipped a ring on my finger. “I love you, Willow,”

he confessed. I opened my eyes and locked eyes with Reuben. This man… it seemed I was going to fall in love with him over and over again until my last breath,

“I love you too,”

I smiled, standing on my toe to claim his lips.

After six years of painful separation, misunderstandings, and heartbreak, we were finally together.

‘It was the Goddess’s design that I was his fated mate’
