Filed To Story: Goddess's Design His Fated Mate (Willow & Reuben)
I whispered as my chest rose and fell rapidly. “An Alpha and Omega together is impossible.”
My heart hurt but I had to admit that this was true. The Emerald Bright Pack had a long history of hating Omegas. Omegas could be pack members but high ranking members could not be in love with Omegas. Even knowing this fact, I could not stop myself falling in love with Reuben.
“Impossible?”
Reuben frowned. “Is this your way of trying to make me stop, Willow?”
He grabbed my hair and tilted my face up. “It’s too late, if you are trying to run away from me. I will fucking lose my mind if you even think about leaving me,”
he warned, pulling me into a passionate kiss, “I love you, Willow. I love you ”
he confessed.
My eyes widened at Reuben’s confession. The word I was scared of the most, greeted me in this way. Reuben confessed his love. I closed my eyes and a teardrop slipped out from the corner of my eye.
I had fallen for him but he had fallen even harder for me. If I had stopped this from the very beginning we would not have reached this point. Maybe then I would not have become his addiction. I could not confess my feelings but I could not stop myself from kissing him back either.
Even though we had kissed before, this kiss held different feelings and emotions for us. As I wrapped my arms around his neck, Reuben grew excited. He grabbed my leg and pinned me against the wall as he kissed me deeper. “I love you Willow,”
he said again and again between kisses. While unknown to us someone had overheard him.
“You guys ”
a familiar voice echoed in the isolated area. I broke the kiss in surprise and I tilted my head to find Ella, Oran, and Bix standing some distance away in shock. They had come looking for me when the friend waiting outside informed them I had not shown up.
My secret and forbidden relationship with Reuben that had remained hidden for a year had just been exposed to our friends. Reuben did not care about them knowing about our relationship but I was scared. Surprisingly, none of them ever exposed our love to anyone. Oran and Bix were cool and already considered me their future Luna while Ella supported me.
But never in my wild imagination had I thought that Ella would be Reuben’s fiancee. My best friend was my mate’s future bride.
In Reuben’s office, I stood there frozen in shock for a long time. Ella and Reuben
My wolf was violently howling in my mind and burning in a raging fire. I slowly turned my head to look at Reuben. He had already been watching me this whole time with an expression that I could not read at all. Once our eyes met, I realized whatever Bix said was true. Reuben did not deny it. Ella was really Reuben’s fiancee.
Ella stepped forward and opened her mouth to speak, “Willow, I
“Congratulations,”
I said to Reuben without breaking eye contact. He frowned bitterly then I turned to look at Ella, “Congratulations to you too, Ella,”
I smiled, walking closer to her. She stared at me with wide watery eyes, “I really admire your choice that is coincidentally my past lover.”
She bit her lip at my word choice. Bix looked at Ella’s tearful eyes and growled at me, “Watch your tone Willow.”
“Am I talking to you?”
I raised my eyebrows at him, silencing him. He gritted his teeth and wanted to argue but once he looked passed me at Reuben he swallowed his words.
“Willow ”
Ella touched my hand but I pulled my hand back.
“That’s enough!”
Reuben’s growl silenced everyone in the room as he ordered Bix and Ella, “Get out of my office right now!”
Ella quickly turned away, wanting to run out in tears while Bix was ready to chase after her, but Ella stopped when two little children walked through the door.
“Who are they?”
Bix cocked his brows as he exchanged confused looks with Ella. Both of their gazes followed Wyatt and Lori as they raced all the way over to me and hugged my legs. They were shy around strangers.
“Mommy we are hungry,”
Wyatt said softly as he clenched my dress in his small fists along with Lori.
“Mommy?”
Ella gasped at the sight of my children while Bix lost his voice in shock, “Willow, did you give birth?”
she asked in disbelief as they were sure that I was not married.
I chose not to answer and ignored her, taking Wyatt and Lori out of the room to feed them when suddenly Bix started laughing, “Willow, you gave birth to bastards.”
I immediately pulled Wyatt close to me and Lori so that I covered their ears while I glared at Bix for his audacity. Did he really use that word to describe my children?!
I moved Wyatt and Lori aside and stepped forward to deliver a harsh slap across Bix’s face but before I could do that a very strong punch landed on Bix’s face, throwing him outside of the room and breaking the wall. I flinched at the sudden action while Ella screamed in fear at the dangerous sight Reuben presented.
“How dare you call my children bastards,”
Reuben growled.
Reuben
“How dare you call my children bastards?!”
I struck Bix with so much force and violence, it was as if he were one of my sworn enemies.
Bix had always possessed an eccentric personality, a foul mouth, and a penchant for bold actions, but labeling my children bastards had crossed every line. In that moment, my wolf took control, overriding the knowledge that Bix was one of my closest friends.
Amidst Ella’s fearful scream, Willow shot me a startled look as Wyatt and Lori rushed back to her. Willow instinctively pulled them close, covering both of their ears. When our eyes met, I noticed her eyes were slightly red. The word bastard’ seemed to affect her more profoundly than it did me. It became apparent that she had faced similar situations before, where people derogatorily referred to Wyatt and Lori as bastards.
I clenched my fists at my sides as I stared into Willow’s slightly watery eyes. Anger welled up inside me, directed not only at Bix but at myself as well for not being there for Willow during those challenging times. Our emotions intertwined through the mate bond and I felt every emotion she harbored in her heart. I noticed her eyes change when she sensed my hatred for myself.
She began to turn away from me, prepared to usher Wyatt and Lori to safety, when Oran, who had been absent until then, arrived in a flash.
“What’s going on here?”
His wide eyes first fell on Bix, whose face bore evident injuries and bleeding. Bix’s mind had gone blank with my attack and he was struggling to comprehend the scene around him. From there Oran shifted his focus to my office broken wall and my bleeding fist, locking eyes with my wolf’s dark expression.
Without needing an explanation, he pieced together the situation. “Bix, what the heck did you do?”
His voice was a growl.
Bix coughed a few times, struggling to find his voice. “Oran did you did you know they are Reuben and Willow’s children?”
Oran’s eyes widened in realization, understanding the root of this violent altercation.
“Fucking shut your mouth if you don’t want to die!”
Oran forcefully silenced Bix with his words, gripping his collar, and dragging him away. “Ella, you’re coming with me,”
