“What are you looking at?”
Alpha asked when he noticed that she was also staring at him.
“I wanna see if you’re old,”
she replied with a tender smile.
“Mrs. Armstead, you have to understand that the older a man is, the better he gets.”
The next morning.
Levi’s voice came from outside the door, “Grandpa and grandma, get up. The sun is already out. Why are you two still not awake?”
The maids in the villa could guess what happened the previous night. It was the first time that their master had stayed that late in his room.
“Little master, stop yelling, let boss and Ma’am Annabelle sleep a little longer. I’ll accompany you to play,”
the maid coaxed him.
Levi’s big shining eyes suddenly turned gloomy. “Okay, I’ll go play by myself first.”
Some minutes later, Levi, who was sitting in the living room, heard footsteps. He looked up and said, “Grandfather, good morning.”
Alpha came down. Today, he wore a gray thin sweater and black trousers. He looked a little more homely and elegant.
His gaze fell on Levi’s small face, “Morning,”
he responded.
At this moment, Annabelle called out to Levi, as she headed downstairs.
Today, Annabelle wore a dark blue free dress. This silk material perfectly outline her beautiful figure.
Today, she did not braid her hair, but she let her long hair loose, and she casually h ooked it behind her ear. Today, Annabelle was extremely delicate and beautiful, like a young woman in her thirties.
“Wow, grandina is so beautiful today.”
Levi rushed over and hugged Annabelle,
Annabelle held Levi’s face lovingly, “My Levi’s mouth is so sweet today as well.”
Levi smiled slyly. “Grandma, didn’t we agree last night that grandfather wouldn’t be able to get out of bed? Why are you up late?”
Annabelle quickly blushed. She glanced at Alpha beside her. She saw that Alpha’s gaze were fixed on her. She said gently, “Levi, don’t talk nonsense.”
“I didn’t say nonsense.”
Levi argued.
“Grandparents, daddy and mummy are going on a long trip, they want to go LA. They’ll leave tonight. I’ll be going with them. Before they leave, daddy and mummy wants to come over for dinner.”
Deacon and Oriana were officially on their schedule, so they were leaving tonight.
They knew that Alpha and Annabelle were back together, and they were worried about them, hence they decided to come over for dinner.
Annabelle’s eyes lit up, “Okay, I’ll cook tonight.”
Deacon brought Oriana over. Oriana got into the kitchen in search for Annabelle.
Alpha and Deacon stood outside the villa, as they conversed.
On the lawn, the maid brought out a lot of fireworks. Levi lit one, and the bright fireworks immediately lit up the night sky.
Alpha stared at the fireworks, “Deacon, I heard that you want to take Oriana back to Los Angeles?”
Deacon nodded, “Yes, we have previous issues to deal with.”
Alpha did not ask much. Tonight, he was extraordinarily at home.
“Uncle Alpha…”
at this moment, Oriana called out.
Alpha turned around and saw
Oriana leaning against the door, her bright eyes stared at him with a smile.
“Daddy, these fireworks are fun, come here quickly.”
Levi called out to Deacon,
Deacon excused himself, and went to play with Levi.
Oriana walked over to Alpha. She looked up at the dark sky. For some reason, the sky tonight was surprisingly beautiful. Everything was so warm and beautiful.
“Uncle Alpha, are you happy now?’ Oriana asked.
Alpha nodded, “Very happy.”
“I saw aunt Annabelle just now. Aunt Annabelle is also very happy. Uncle Alpha, it seems like you’ll be happy forever.”

Alpha slowly raised his head, and did not utter a word.

Levi pulled Oriana over, and Deacon held her hand. “Oriana, why are your hands so cold?”
Oriana had a very bad hunch in her heart. Her hunch had always been accurate. She felt that something was definitely wrong with Alpha.
Alpha stood in the corridor, and soon, he coughed lightly. A warm blood suddenly flowed out from his mouth. He quickly turned around and walked into his study.
When he saw that there was no one in there, he took out a handkerchief and coughed into it.
“Sir.”
Reuben quickly rushed over and said, “Sir, you’ve been coughing blood for the past two days. This has gotten worse. I’ll call the doctor.”
Alpha raised his hand and stopped Reuben.
He knew his body too well. It was worse than the doctor’s diagnosis. He probably didn’t even have upto a month left.
Alpha stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling window. The fireworks were shining brightly outside. He stretched out his hand and watched the time on his wrist watch.
He knew that he had already embarked on the last journey of his life, and his deadline was approaching.
He was probably just two days left.
It would be in the day that Oriana and Deacon would leave for Los Angeles, so he thought.
Unconsciously, he began to crave for the present time. He always thought that life could be slower, but he had already come to his end.
Oriana was still worried, so she went upstairs and headed straight to the study to find Alpha.
But when she reached the door of the study, she heard Reuben’s voice.a
“Sir, this is the medicine for you. You’ve caught a cold recently. Quickly drink the medicine now.”
Reuben said.
Soon, Alpha said, “I sec.”
Outside the door, Oriana had already put her hand on the doorknob and wanted to turn it open, but when she heard this, she suddenly halted. It turned out that he had caught a cold, and she was only overreacting.
Oriana turned around and left.
In the study, Reuben listened carefully to the sound of the footsteps outside. “Sir, ma’am Oriana has already left.”
Alpha nodded. He had already sensed that Oriana had discovered something earlier, so he invited Reuben to act a scene for her.

The family ate their last supper together. Deacon took Oriana and Levi, as he prepared to leave. “Grandfather, we’re leaving Levi waved goodbye.
