I can’t even begin to describe my mood. First, our little plan totally backfired on us. Then, she f*cking publicly humiliated us in that fight, which I still don’t understand what happened. Zeke and I are the LYCAN princes, to be Alpha King for goddess sake! And we got our asses handed to us by a mere girl – a wolfless one even – because we weren’t paying attention. I don’t think I’ve ever been more angry in my life and I don’t think I’ve ever hated someone as much as her. How the f*ck does she even dare to talk to us like that?! And in public too! And to top it off, we got a huge ass scolding from our parents about what happened, not to mention from my own wolf Lance, who has been riding my *ss all day now. ‘Your damn right I am. You lost to a female!! A WOLFLESS female!!!! You better get your act right next time, or I will show the little human who’s boss’ ‘f*ck off Lance! I will get her next time. We were just distracted. But maybe having the big bad wolf coming out to play with her wouldn’t be such a bad idea actually’. Lycans are far superior from normal wolves as it is, and we definitely take the cake as heirs to the throne. The only one bigger than us is our dad. I can imagine she has never seen a Lycan to begin with, let alone one our size. And she doesn’t even have a normal wolf. So having Lance and Lex coming out to greet her would wipe the smug smile off her face. Let’s see how she likes them, I gloat to myself.
My mom heard from the warriors about how she kicked our *ss and she for one found it hilarious, which antagonizes me even further. Dad on the other hand, didn’t find it hilarious at all – he found it completely embarrassing. As did Zeke and I. After having gotten the scolding of our life for attacking a wolfless girl who has apparently been invited to stay here by our own mom, we are in the dining hall waiting for the b*tch. Zeke and I are faced towards the door and both on the same side of the table, so neither of us had to sit next to her. Mom shot me a glare for it earlier, but I just shrugged my shoulders. It’s clear already that we don’t like her, so why pretend anymore? After a while of awkward silence between us and our parents, she walks into the dining hall. She’s wearing jeans and a black crop top that does nothing to hide her voluptuous body. If she wasn’t a rogue and such a snarky b*tch, I would have been able to appreciate the view. For a she wolf, she does have amazing curves. She does have a unique appearance overall for a she wolf come to think of it, not the standard black-haired straight lined appearance all she wolves have. ‘Stop your drooling idi*t’ Lance scolds me, and I am snapped out of my thoughts immediately.
Zeke is supporting an equally murderous glare as I am when we hear our father growling lowly, warning us to behave. I decide to just stare out into space as I can’t look at her without having a scowl on my face. To my surprise, my father speaks to Lola. It is usually mom speaking to her. “Are you alright child?” my father doesn’t make chit-chat and always cuts to the point. I can’t help the pang of jealousy arising in my chest at his attempt to make small talk with the rogue. When did he start caring for rogues? I thought we all hated them after what had happened? “Yes I am, your highness. Thank you for asking” she replies curtly without delving further into the topic. My mom can’t help but throw a jab at her only 2 sons, doing so with a glint in her eyes “good to hear! Thank you dear, for teaching our sons a little lesson on how to not treat a woman today”. While I – usually the blabbermouth of the 2 – was biting my tongue to respond, Zeke blurts out “we’ll let you know when we find a real woman, and we’ll treat her perfectly fine”. I stiffen in my seat, I did not expect Zeke to run his mouth like that. My father slams his fists down on the table whilst standing up. His irises are pitch black, and knowing my dad – he is seething right now. He pushes out his aura to the point where we have to bare our necks and submit to him, while he is gritting out “I HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF YOU 2. YOUR MOTHER AND I HAVE INVITED LOLA TO STAY AND YOU WILL BEHAVE FROM NOW ON”. “Sorry father” Zeke states with a clenched jaw while mind linking me, growling ‘we have to get rid of her ASAP’. ‘We will’ I say more determined than ever. She is now even ruining our relationship with our parents, this b*tch has got to go.
Zane POV
I glance over to the b*tch in question. She looks at us unfazed, bored even. Which only angers me further. Who does she think she is?! As dad pulls back his aura, we are all able to regain our posture again. ‘There is something wrong with her. Did you notice she wasn’t even affected by father’s aura?’ Zeke filters into my head. And now that Zeke points out the obvious I was too busy to miss – he is right. ‘Why do you think that is? Because she is wolfless?’ ‘I’m not sure. I have even seem humans coward away from father when he was barely pushing out any aura at all’. ‘Perhaps she has a death wish, after all, she did make herself a rogue’ I reply. ‘I don’t think that’s it. Maybe you can speak to mother 1:1 later? We know you are her favorite, and if you play your part right she may be inclined to give you some information’. Of course he wants me to do the digging. ‘Sure’ I grumble, not really keen on the *ss kissing I will have to do to get into mom’s good graces after the past few days.
The maids hesitantly bring in dinner – all of them are baring their necks as dad’s aura is still thick in the air and the situation still feels tense. Sensing their discomfort, dad completely reigns in his aura so the maids can continue with their jobs. I hear mom asking one of the maids to bring the rogue a good full platter and I wonder what this is all about now. But I’m not really in a position to ask right now. “Eat up dear and make sure you get some rest afterward. You have a big day tomorrow” mom beams. Now I’m even more curious. What is happening tomorrow? I know Damon – the dragon prince – and his father are vising tomorrow, but that can’t be what she is referring to. I contemplate asking Zeke, but by the look on his face I can see he is equally puzzled. And furthermore, we tell each other everything, so I’m sure he would have told me already had he known. “Dear” replies saying “thank you your highness, I am really excited” “Xena, dear” she winks. Really, this b*tch gets to call mom by her first name?! What the hell is going on? Zeke growls through our mind link and I know he is as annoyed as I am. “Sorry, it still sounds strange to call the Queen by her first name” she smiles.
