“Is that all you have to tell me?” he replies with a stoic expression, making me anxious about how much he already knows and how much I should spill. Weighing my options quickly, I decide it has to be about today’s incident and I have to elaborate more, but I will keep it vague “well it was a physical altercation. She disrespected Ashton and of course he couldn’t stand for that. The teacher shut it off, but we will still need to have a stern word with her about not disrespecting our ranked members like that”. His stoic expression breaks as I see his jaw clench and he oozes more power and dominance through his aura, making Ashton and Jeremy already bare their necks in submission whilst I barely hold it together. “Now tell me, son, how did Lola disrespect Ashton exactly?” emphasizing the word son. And f*ck did I walk into that trap. I didn’t think it through that he would ask for details! I know we were bullying her and she was standing up for herself, but I can never tell my father that. Lost for words I feel more aura dripping out of him as he is becoming more and more angry by the second and before I know it, I am baring my neck in submission. Still at a loss for words thinking this couldn’t possibly get any worse, we hear a knock at the door and my father calling out to the person to come in. Great, this person is going to get a real show of seeing all three of us submitting like little puppies.

Lola POV

My nerves and head are all over the place and my heart is beating so fast like I have just ran a marathon. No scrape that – like I have ran five marathons and never took a break in between. The entire walk up to the Alpha’s office I felt all the omega’s curious eyes on me as I passed by. This can’t be good. Approaching the door I take one last big breath, trying to steady myself, before knocking on the door. I can already hear in the Alpha’s voice he is fuming when all he bellowed is for me to come in. F*ck!

My eyes are respectfully directed at the floor when stepping in, to not piss off this Alpha any further. “Lola, please take a seat” the Alpha calls to me, in a surprisingly soft tone as opposed to what I was expecting. I glance up and just now I notice Chris, Ashton and Jeremy are all in the office as well, baring their necks to Alpha Culio. Even though I know I am in for the same treatment – I have to focus hard to not laugh at the sight in front of me. As I take the seat Alpha Culio is motioning to me to sit down on, he proceeds “Lola, I heard about altercations between you and the boys. I brought you into my office because I would like to hear your honest side of the story”, stretching the word honest and giving me a small sympathetic smile I would have almost missed if I hadn’t paid attention. I notice Chris flinch at his words, unsure of which part made him flinch, I contemplate how much I am going to spill. I know the Alpha is extremely smart and his way of interviewing – also known as interrogating people – is well thought out and always extremely effective. As if he can sense my uneasiness he adds “I assure you that nothing you say in this room will ever be held against you by anyone, I will make sure of that” with a deadly undertone whilst glaring at the three before him.

The way he is speaking, I am positive he knows a lot more than he is letting on and a lot more these three have admitted to. And although snitching is never a good idea, lying to a very perceptive Alpha is even worse and I decide I need to come clean. As the Alpha is way more perceptive than the other three dimwits sitting across from them, I formulate my words in a way to tell him what he needs to fill in the blanks without actually telling it. “Today’s altercation started when I disrespected the gentlemen when Melissa asked me how I liked the word “pig” written on my locker, to which I replied I felt honored and owed that person a thank you as pigs are really clever and cute. When the teacher left the room things escalated and got physical when my head was slammed against my desk, and I fought back”. I know the Alpha is perceptive enough to catch the “today’s” statement and will certainly question me further, but he surprises me by raising a brow in confusion and asking “you fought back with a beta and you are sitting here unharmed?” well f*ck. I didn’t expect that question.

“I ehm.. I don’t bruise so easily Alpha” is all I managed to think of, as I am not a particularly good liar unfortunately. I give him a small smile to hopefully divert from the question. Dropping his raised brow and crossing his arms across his chest he continues his questioning towards the topic I was expecting “in that case, can you explain to me what happened a few weeks ago when your entire face and body were swollen and bruised? It must have been quite the impact”, he then sends a deadly glare at Chris. “And afterwards I would like to hear from my son how he could have allowed such a thing to happen on our territory, to one of our pack members, the ones he is supposed to protect from getting harmed”. His voice is dripping with anger and laced with venom, while the men still have their necks bared and are dead silent. “I… ehm… That was an altercation with Ashton as well, Alpha. Out in the woods. I was walking to school when I was shoved from behind and I fell. I got angry and questioned what I have ever done to deserve this, but my wording was not what it should have been as a lady and an omega” I look down to my lap with a sigh, knowing I actually did disrespect them with my wording that day – not that they didn’t deserve all they got and then some! “Please continue Lola. I would like to know how you ended up bruised and swollen”. “well, my disrespect set Ashton off and he punched me until I passed out. When I woke up they were gone. After getting some distance between myself and the place I passed out, I noticed two rogue wolves sniffing around where my blood lay, which I have completely forgotten to report back to you, I am so sorry Alpha!” I say with honest remorse. Until now I haven’t even thought about it anymore and I hope the patrols have captured the rogues by now.

Alpha Culio POV

The discussion in my office has me more baffled than I think I have ever been in my entire life. I am known to be extremely sharp and perceptive in my questioning and interrogation skills, which is why I am almost thrown off my seat a few times already during my meeting with Lola. I haven’t conversed much with the girl except when she was brought into the pack when she was young, and right about now I am wondering why I haven’t and how all this could have slipped past me. I am not even referring to the bullying and beating my son and his friends have been giving her, which I am livid about and will definitely be giving them my full Alpha fury for once Lola leaves the room later on. I am referring to who this girl is and why she has never been on my radar before. I know she came in as an orphan and I know who she is supposed to be – an omega in my pack –, but nothing is adding up with the girl sitting in front of me right now. And even worse, my son Chris is completely oblivious, although he is supposed to take over from me one day and is supposed to be more perceptive than a regular wolf, which he very clearly isn’t. Hell, even my Beta and Delta would have noticed the obvious if they had spoken to her once like I am now. The girl in front of me, however, is extremely perceptive gawking my every reaction and weighing my questions and her answers so carefully as to say what she needs to say, without actually saying it and pissing the 3 pups in front of me off more.
