Chapter 1311 – Sorry Alpha I Am Wolfless Novel

“Well, we have some news.”

I said that as I sensed another person coming into the room. Well make that five more people. I could tell that my brother, Valerian, had just stepped through the door from his home near the cliffs into our parlor. It was the way that we stayed connected while he and Daciana lived outside of the castle.

I wanted to tell them the news too, so I just kept going as he and his entire family came into the room.

“This morning your dad and I found out that we’re going to have another baby.” I could feel the smile on my face as I said these words. The kids all looked at us for a moment, shock filling their eyes as they let it all sink in. Then they started to celebrate.

“Another baby?”

“We’re going to have another brother or sister?”

“Wow, this is going to be interesting.” They all seemed to be celebrating the news as they heard it, which was good because I knew that sometimes siblings weren’t happy when their parents had more children.

“You too, huh?” Valerian laughed as he sat in a chair across the room, pulling Daciana along with him. The kids were standing behind him with smiles on their faces. The oldest, one of the twins, Lily, spoke next.

“We’re going to have another baby in our family too, Aunt Glory. Dad and Mom found out yesterday.”

“Really?” I said as I gaped at them all. “How is this possible?” I asked Valerian with all seriousness. Each time that we had gotten pregnant it had been so close to when my brother and Daciana got pregnant.

“I don’t know, but I blame Riviana.” Valerian laughed as he snuggled his pregnant wife. “She just had her baby in March after all, so that baby magic is in the air.”

“I don’t mind if Riviana is the cause.” Daciana beamed at me. “We get to be pregnant together again, Glory. Isn’t this going to be fun?”

“I must admit, I like the idea of having a sister right there with me.” I agreed with her.

“Yes, it makes it all a lot less scary.”

We talked for a long time about how things were going to go. I was going to be due towards the end of November, and Daciana was about a week and a half further along than I was. We would be almost in perfect sync with each other. Although, it would be nice if this time we didn’t have them on the same day. Owen and Calissa shared the same birthday as my nephew Calix.

Then again, it was a way to bond those cousins for life. And I knew that Owen and Calix were as close as brothers. They would grow up to be a lot like Valerian and I are. And how our brother Sorrel used to be with us. I missed having him around, especially at times like this.

I mentioned him to Valerian, and he admitted that the first thing that he thought of after the happiness and joy of the baby started to settle in, was the fact that Sorrel wasn’t here to celebrate with as our family grew. And he wasn’t here to see his bloodline continue the way that we had watched it over time.

“He would be happy though. I know that he would.” Trevor said as he hugged me tightly. “He would be happy that his family was doing so well. And that you two are so happy. He wouldn’t want to see you moping or anything like that. He would want to make sure that you all moved on, just like you are doing now.” He was right, I knew that, but it still brought a tear to my eyes.

After a few days, Daciana and I got together again. We wanted to have a specialist check on us, and what better specialist than the man that was trusted the most by Riviana. We took a trip to the human world and into Griffin’s clinic.

“Hello, ladies.” He said when he saw us. “What is it that I can do for you?”

“Well,” I paused and looked at Daciana, “we just found out that we’re both pregnant. And we wanted to know if you can take a look for us.” He smiled.

“Ahh, yes. And congratulations.” He seemed genuinely happy for us both.

“And if you don’t mind, Griffin, don’t tell Riviana. We want to tell her.”

“I am a medical professional first and foremost, Glory, I couldn’t tell her even if I wanted to. And the only way that she could get it out of me is if she already suspected and forced it out of me with an order. And we all know that Riviana wouldn’t ever do something like that.”

“No, she wouldn’t.” Daciana agreed as she shook her head.

Griffin did what he needed to. Mostly, we were here for ultrasounds because we wanted to know if we were having multiples or not. Daciana went first, as she was further along than I was, but we were both further along than a human would be if they had just found out a week before.

“Well, Daciana, it looks like you are just having one. I can’t tell you if it’s a boy or a girl yet, it’s too soon. If you see Shawn or Dietrich though, they could tell you.”

“Thank you.” She beamed as she wiped away the jelly and rose from the table. “I can wait to find out until later.”

When it was my time, I laid on the table and let Griffin put the jelly on my belly. It was cool and made me cry out, but I was fine. The moment that he put the wand to me though, I could already see what was happening. Right there, in my belly, were two little babies.

“Twins.” Griffin said happily. “Identical.”

“That’s good. My last set were fraternal.” I made a joke about it. I didn’t care if it was one, two, or ten, I was happy.

OK, ten might be too much, but I was still happy and that didn’t change with twins compared to just one baby. Now I just needed to find the right time to tell Riviana and Joaquin. They were going to be so happy for us. They loved it when families had good news like this.

Today was going to be busy. Not just for Joaquin and I but for a lot of the castle staff. I know that we were just inviting family and close friends, but that was still a lot of people. There was the ten of us, although Reeselynn was only three months old and didn’t need to eat at the party that we were having.

There was Shawn and Dietrich with their ten kids, and the fact that Shawn was pregnant with twins and eating a lot more already. And all the other guards and their families, which were mostly smaller.

Juniper and Paul, Cedar and Acacia, Mom and Dad and my little sister, Noah and Nikki, Carter and Emmalee, Bryce and Bree, Aunt Glory and Trevor, Athair m貌r and Daciana, Grandfather and Lila, Griffin and Lana, Devon and Ella, Riley and Katie, Landon and Ava, and all the kids of these family and friends. We just didn’t have a small inner circle. And that made parties particularly large.

Now, what was this party for? Why were we doing this today? Well, just for the hell of it. That was truly all that it was for and nothing else. Shawn and Dietrich came home from Germany two weeks ago with big news, Vincent had news, a lot of people in our group had news, and we wanted to let everyone share and celebrate with it all at once.

Then, next month, we would be doing something like this all over again, when Talia turned sixteen. I still couldn’t believe that she was already so grown up, or that she was already going to college, at just barely sixteen years old. She was so smart and so advanced that it was hard for me to process at times. I was proud of her though, she was an amazing young woman.

And I knew that there would be no issues when she went to school. Since she was under eighteen and the world knew of us now, we were able to send Alexio to the university with her. She would be protected.

Now, back to today’s party. We were having a BBQ. Everyone was looking forward to it, as it was a bit of an end of the school year sort of celebration. It was also just another way for us to celebrate that there were no major events happening. Nothing aside from a small number of people here and there talking about how they don’t want to share the world with nonhumans.

They weren’t doing anything though. And we were monitoring everything to make sure that nothing ever did happen.

There were a lot of fun things set up for the kids to do today, for all the different ages that were going to be in attendance. We had bounce houses for the littler kids, pools, slides, and other water fun for different ages of kids. A small carnival set up for them as well, also for different ages. There were even two different roller coasters that they could ride.

The benefit of having space and money, and a desire to spoil the kids in your life as much as possible.

The adults could partake as well, if they wanted. Or they could talk amongst themselves while the kids played. I was going to do both, I won’t be able to help it, I am a fun loving kid on the inside as well. Not to mention, the quads wanted me to ride some rides with them.

There was food galore going into this event. With there being nearly a hundred people in attendance, and most of them with very large appetites, there needed to be a lot of food. And a variety of it as well. There would be traditional BBQ foods though, nothing overly extravagant. Ribs, hot dogs, hamburgers, sausages, steak, chicken, salads galore, chips, veggies, and all those lovely things.

Abigail and the others were busy making sure that it was all taken care of for when they all started to arrive here at around noon.

Joaquin, the giant man child that he was, was busy setting up water fighting stations all over the gardens and throughout the woods. He had a massive fireworks display for this evening. And he was just about as giddy as he could possibly be in a situation like this. Not that I minded. He was cute and adorable when he was like this.

OK, yes, I loved that he was strong, muscly, and sexy, but there was just something about seeing your man having fun, that goofy grin and those excited laughs, that made him so much more attractive. I loved how handsome and mouthwatering he was, that wasn’t the issue here.

I just felt like seeing him like this, knowing that he was having such a good time, it made him all that much more appealing to me. And I was pretty sure that I wasn’t the only woman in the world that felt like this for her man. Their happiness is one of the most sexy things about them. In my opinion anyway.

“Riviana.” Abigail called out to me. “The food is nearly ready. And you have the containers ready, so it will all remain at the proper temperature, as well as bug free, for as long as you need it to.”

“Thank you so much, Abigail.” I said as I hurried around the garden, making sure that everything was finalized. Yes, I was a Queen, but I still preferred to be a part of things like this, especially when it involved so many people that were so dear to me.

“I have made sure that all of the tables and chairs are set properly, Riviana. We have all that I need, and there are coolers with more than enough drinks at each table.” Roisin said as she wiped her hands on her apron.

“You are a guest at this party, Roisin. You’re not supposed to be doing all of this.”

“I am just helping you to get ready. I am done now. The others will be taking it from here.” She looked at her subordinates and nodded. They smiled in return and I knew that they would do a wonderful job from here on out.

It was almost time for the party to officially start, and those that were like me, started to arrive early. Gabriel, already being here, was among the first to come to the party aside from his wife Roisin. He brought their children with him, Brenna and Shamrock. They were close to the same age as the quads, Brenna about a year or so older than them.

There were a lot of kids that were close to the quads age, as there had been a lot of them born around that time. Just as there were a lot born around the same time that Reagan and Rika were born. And even a few of similar ages to Talia. It was like this happened every time that I had kids.

After Gabriel arrived with his two kids, Shawn and Dietrich arrived with their children. The first that happened, was that Dietrich went over to Roisin, hugged her, and said in a very calm and sweet voice.

“Congratulations on the twins, sweet Roisin. One of each, how lovely.”

“Uh..uhm th..thank you, Dietrich.” She blushed scarlet. “I..I hadn’t told anyone yet. Gabriel was the only one that knew.” She looked at me embarrassedly. “I didn’t want to take the spotlight away from your party, Riviana.”

“It is fine, Roisin. I am happy for you.” I was holding Reeselynn as I said that, snuggling her in response to talk of more babies. This made four that I knew of that were pregnant: Shawn, Heather, Roisin, and Acacia. I was so happy for all of them and their families. I loved that we had more little ones coming into the world.

There was a steady stream of people that continued to arrive after that. They came in, hugged me and the baby, shook hands with Joaquin, and took their seats around the room. All the while, I could see the looks on Shawn and Dietrich’s faces. They were looking at all the people around us with happiness, giddiness, and excitement.

I saw that even their kids, Alyssa, Alexandria, Levi, and Luka were also thinking the same things that they were. And I just had a feeling that there was something that I needed to ask everyone, to address, once we got the party fully started.

I was pretty sure I knew what was going to happen, what was going to be said during the next few minutes of this party, but I didn’t want to ruin anything for myself just yet. So, for that reason, I didn’t go over to Shawn and Dietrich to ask them about their very suspicious smiles and excited looks. I wanted to do this all at once.

That was one benefit of us all being friends and so close to each other. We were comfortable with each other and didn’t need to feel embarrassed about these things in the normal everyday parts of our lives.

Oh, this party was about to be even more special than I thought that it was going to be. There was just so much for us to talk about, to learn from each other, and to be excited about. I hoped that they were all ready to tell me their secrets, and to see how happy that it all made me. These kinds of things were just the sort to make me want to squeal in happiness and euphoria.

It took about thirty to forty minutes to get everyone to calm down and have a seat so that the party could officially start. People were talking and laughing right from the get-go, and they were all actively avoiding Shawn and Dietrich, which made me laugh. If they thought that they needed to be right next to them to sense the secrets that they were hiding, then they were mistaken.

From what I had been told, they were able to detect it up to fifty feet away, if the person was in sight.

Once a semblance of calm settled over the group, I rose to my feet, walked to the middle of the tables, and started to speak to them all. All eyes were on me, even those of the kids that were gathered in the large circle.

“Welcome, all of you. I am so happy that you are here.” I looked over at Aunt Glory and Athair m貌r, they had stopped to say hi to me earlier and they both looked like little kids on Christmas morning. “We have had precious little to celebrate over the last year. I know that we have all wondered what we were going to do and how we were going to make it through all of this.

At least, I had been thinking that.”

I paused again, looking at all the people that were here, all the ones that I wanted to share my life with as family of my blood and my heart. They were all so precious to me, so dear and close to me.

“We all know that Reeselynn came this past March, and that with her there was a break in the bad situation. The DOE was eliminated not long after her birth, and while it is not perfect, the world is a lot more calm than it had been. And I know that this isn’t the only up side to all that has happened lately. “There is a lot that we need to celebrate.

Like Vincent, my Beta, my guard, and my dear friend that is like a brother to me. He had some news for me recently.”
