Chapter 901 – A Second Chance with My Billionaire Love

“I want to give you that, so you don’t have to care about anything else. Everything belonging to my family will be yours and your husband’s in the future. Of course, it isn’t a big deal for you to manage a piece of land in advance,” Austin said straightforwardly. He sincerely regarded her as his family.

Since he regarded her as his family, he would favor anyone related to her and be tolerant toward Quinton. He would also want the best for her.

Flossie understood how the Baldwin family valued her, especially Austin. It warmed her, but she couldn’t accept such a gift as she stammered, “Yes… You’re right, but…”

“Okay, Flossie. Let me handle it for you.”

Quinton suddenly interrupted Flossie and smiled at Austin. Then, he said something meaningful. “If you take me as Flossie’s family, I have a request to make. I wonder if you’re willing.”

“Oh, what’s that? Tell me.” Austin looked at Quinton curiously.

“What are you doing, Quinton?” Flossie asked.

She understood Quinton well. He was crazy, and no one knew what kind of crazy ideas he would come up with. She got anxious when she saw his thoughtful look and felt deeply awkward.

She could probably let him have his way someplace else. At most, she would handle the mess later on. But they were at North City now, the territory of the Baldwin family. Although Austin looked amiable and kind, he might become a very difficult person if anyone fell out with him. He might give others a very hard time.

Flossie could only remind Quinton to watch his tongue and actions at all times.

Quinton smirked and explained, “Calm down. I believe my request isn’t outrageous. I’m sure he’ll accept it readily, given our relationship.”

“Yes, no worries. Just make your request.” Austin laughed heartily and tried to reassure Quinton.

“It’s very simple…” After a brief pause, Quinton looked at Austin firmly.

“Old Master Baldwin, you know my family was once famous and powerful, but it was ruined in an instant. My parents were forced to jump off the building and kill themselves, and someone kidnapped me. I was separated from my family for many years. I can’t sleep with ease of mind with this resentment buried in me. I vow to avenge my family and help my family make a comeback!”

“I know that your family suffered too much. Many families targeted your family. And I’m very guilty that I’d rushed there too late…”

Austin sighed endlessly, full of regret when he recalled that incident.

After the Golden Trio fell out, he chose to stop being friends with Maurice and Timothy.

Austin wanted to help when the Ellsworth family was down and out, but he could not bring himself to do so because he was trying to save face.

He had thought that the Ellsworths could soldier through since they were strong and had support from the Guajardo family. Then, he learned about how serious the issue was when he read about the news of Flossie’s parents killing themselves.

However, it was already too late when he wanted to help them at that time…

“No, it’s not too late,” Quinton said coldly. “I’ve been investigating the families who attacked my family that year and got a shocking list. My family is still not strong at the moment and is too weak to take revenge on them. So, I want to…”

“No, that’s not what you want.” Flossie could guess his request and immediately interrupted him. “We can’t rush if we want to take revenge. Plus, this concerns our family. We can discuss it between us. And our family is still weak. We’ll do it once we get stronger.”

She knew Quinton hoped to get the Baldwin family’s support to avenge the Ellsworths after what she had said. Still, she felt that this concerned only their family and refused to involve the Baldwins.

If the Baldwins became enemies with the rest and were targeted instead, she would feel guilty.

“That’s fine.” Austin interrupted Flossie with a wave. He asked Quinton solemnly, “So, what’s your request?”

Quinton ignored Flossie’s advice and expressed his mind without hesitation. “I hope to see the Baldwin family side with my family under all circumstances and avenge my family.”

“Quinton!” Flossie was furious and wanted to stop him but failed to do so in time. Embarrassed, she didn’t know how to face Austin.

That request was outrageous since it would implicate the Baldwin family in a massive conflict despite them being outsiders. Flossie had already felt indebted to the Baldwins; she would feel very stressed if they agreed with that.

“That’s not a big deal! Of course, I’ll say yes!” Austin didn’t even dwell on it for even a second. He smacked the table and said, “You don’t have to tell me that. I want to do it, too. Since Flossie is going to marry Justin, our families will become one. Your enemies will naturally be mine. If there’s a fight, my family will never shy away!”

“Thank you, Old Master Baldwin. I don’t have to worry since you made me such a promise. I know that Flossie has found a good family. I’m sure you guys won’t treat her unfairly.” Quinton bowed to Austin to thank him for his loyalty and kindness.

“Okay, it’s a deal.” Austin promised, “Just tell me who harmed your family back then. I’ll kill them all!”

“Hey, you guys…” Flossie felt very uneasy when they reached a consensus. They looked fierce as if they were going into battle the next second.

Austin waved and said to Flossie mysteriously, “Okay, there’s nothing else I want to say. You can show him around the mansion. Plus, I got you a surprise. I hope that you can stay here with ease of mind. Just go.”

Flossie wasn’t expecting anything when she heard about the surprise. On the contrary, she was scared and wondered what kind of shock it would give her.

She knew the Baldwin family’s favor and tolerance toward her was more than she could accept. Things might get troublesome if she failed to give a fair response for such kindness…

She walked out of the mansion with Quinton, who could tell that she was uneasy. “Flossie, why do you look this anxious?”

“Do I?” Flossie snapped back to reality and forced a smile. “I’m pretty happy. I’m not anxious at all.”

Quinton looked at Flossie while shaking his head and sighing. “You might have fooled others but not me. You’re unhappy.”

They were twins who shared a telepathic connection, and Flossie looked displeased. Of course, Quinton could tell. Flossie stopped pretending since they reached a rather quiet spot. She exposed her true feelings and said, “No, I’m not. I just feel ill at ease.”

She knew Quinton was the only one she could show her true feelings without any worry. He was her family and they were twins. She could let down her guard and trust him wholeheartedly.

“You feel that this family is too nice and you can’t take it. Am I right?” It seemed like Quinton could read her mind. He instantly guessed why she was uneasy.

Flossie looked up. She was shocked and moved as she looked at him. “Quinton, you know me so well. You read my mind.”

“Stop overthinking. They’re nice to you because you deserve it. There’s some value in you they admire. You don’t have to be ill at ease, because you deserve their kindness.”

Quinton patted her shoulders and said earnestly, “Flossie, you’re the best woman in the world. Justin is very lucky to have you. Let me put it this way. They’re nice to you because they got the chance to be your family. Others might not.”

“Uh…” Flossie was rendered speechless.

Although she was still uneasy, she felt that she should learn from Quinton’s attitude.

No wonder he raised his request without any hesitation just now. He was not at all embarrassed. It seemed like he felt that he deserved it.

“Quinton, I know what you meant. I don’t think I don’t deserve it. I’m just worried that I can’t reciprocate their kindness.”

Flossie knew she had yet to forget about Halston despite her insisting otherwise. She probably would have nothing to do with him for the rest of her life, but he was engraved in her heart. It would never disappear.

It appeared like a tumor. Maybe it would bring no harm, but when it did, it might ruin the world. She had no idea how she should face the Baldwin family by then.

Hence, she would rather see them treat her badly. It would be best if they shun her and look down on her and her brother. Then, they could cancel the marriage.

But none of them hated or shunned her-not even Austin, who was strict and solemn. Surprisingly, he accepted Quinton and agreed to side with the Ellsworth family and avenge them.

Their tolerance and love felt heavy and suffocated her.

“Don’t reciprocate it if you can’t. They do it willingly. I guess they don’t insist on getting anything in return,” Quinton said.

Quinton couldn’t understand why Flossie would be so obstinate when she was generally straightforward and casual.

“You don’t know.” Flossie sighed and kept her past with the Baldwin family from him.

She stood Justin up back then and ran away from the Baldwin family. When Austin learned about that, he nearly made her pay a heavy price for it.

At that time, she learned about how dangerous Austin was. When he was happy, he could give all kinds of rewards and make one feel superior. But if he got unhappy and was provoked, he would make one pay a heavy price.
