Chapter 898 – A Second Chance with My Billionaire Love

But it had only been a few hours. She wasn’t on guard against him as she lay in bed and was letting him do whatever he wanted with her. Who knows, she might regret it later if they did sleep with each other. Then, she might hate and leave him…

Justin had to get to the bottom of it and get rid of all the risks. He didn’t want to be manipulative.

“Go on. I won’t regret it!” Flossie gnashed her teeth, insisting on making that breakthrough -as if she could only embrace a new life by overcoming that big obstacle.

In a way, Justin was her savior, the one who helped her bid her past goodbye.

“I’ll keep that in mind regardless if you mean it or not. I’ll assume that you’re willing,” Justin said.

He hooked his finger and unbuttoned her clothes, exposing her chest.

Flossie couldn’t bear the shame. She opened her eyes, wanting to say something. “Justin… Mmph!”

However, he kissed her and stopped her from speaking.

He meant it when he said he wanted to continue. His kiss was more rapid and intense compared to the previous one.

“Don’t…” Flossie could feel that everything wasn’t a joke-it was real. Her fear grew more obvious as she instinctively resisted.

However, Justin had lost his mind, controlled by his desire to conquer her. He wouldn’t let her go easily. He grew rougher as he kissed her, touching her passionately nonstop.

“Stop!” Flossie shook her head and sobbed. “Please! I’m begging you, Haze.”

Justin stopped the moment she called him Haze, speechless, and saw her tears. Flossie was stronger and superior to him, yet here she was, crying in front of him.

It broke his heart.

“Didn’t you say you wouldn’t regret it?”

Justin lay on Flossie and buried his head around her neck. He took deep breaths to calm herself down. Then, he laughed helplessly and bitterly.

“You didn’t mean what you said.”

“I’m sorry. I thought… I was ready.” Flossie was apologetic; she knew she had hurt his self- esteem, but she couldn’t bring herself to go on.

“Whatever. You’ve got me for the rest of my life.” Then, Justin turned around and lay on the bed.

Since Flossie and Justin had reached a consensus, their wedding date must be set.

The Baldwin family sat at the dining table and kept staring at Flossie, who had taken her seat. They couldn’t hide their joy.

“You two are considered married now, so we should hold a wedding soon. It’ll be bad for your reputation otherwise. It’ll be a great loss for you, too,” Austin said; he didn’t beat around the bush as he didn’t want Flossie to make an excuse and turn his suggestion down.

Besides, the Baldwin family assumed that she and Justin had enjoyed a great romance that afternoon. They were eager for a baby.

Thus, the wedding was an urgent matter.

If Flossie got pregnant before she married Justin, it would shame the family. Austin didn’t want to see that.

“Uh…”

Flossie cautiously sipped some tea while everyone stared eagerly at her. She was gripped with the same anxiety she felt when interrogated. Helpless, she glanced at Justin for help.

Justin immediately stood up and complained, “Grandpa, we need to discuss our wedding properly. You can’t urge us like it’s a mission. I want to hold a unique wedding for Flossie, so I need time to prepare for it. No rush.”

“You can do that, but it’ll be great if we can set the wedding date,” Austin compromised, fearing he might scare Flossie if he pressed her too hard. “Or, we can hold an engagement ceremony and invite people from all over the world. I’ve got to tell everyone that Flossie is my future daughter-in-law and stop any bad guys from harboring inappropriate thoughts.” Everyone knew that the orphan of the Ellsworth family was an excellent woman, charming and smart. She was still irresistible though she was a divorcee.

Since she was single again, people would target her. Hence, the Baldwin family needed to hold an engagement ceremony and announce her affiliation with them to the world.

“An engagement ceremony?” Justin glanced at Flossie, wanting to see if the latter was resistant.

He himself wanted nothing more than a ceremony to announce it to the world. With that, he’d be more motivated and certain.

“Sure,” Flossie said. “I came here with Justin because I want to spend the rest of my life with him. Plus, there must be many rumors that will affect our cooperation with others. We need to hold a ceremony and announce it to the public sooner. It’s necessary for our families’ reputation and interests.

“Well, that’s insightful of you.” Austin was satisfied with Flossie’s cooperation. He waved and added, “I won’t pressure you two. We’ll set the engagement ceremony at the end of this month. What do you think?”

“The end of this month? It’s only half a month away. Isn’t it too soon?” Justin asked carefully. Of course, he was asking for Flossie’s benefit rather than Austin’s opinion.

“Is that so?” Austin looked at Flossie, then at his family.

Enlightened, Sophia immediately echoed his words.

“No, it’s not. It’s just an engagement ceremony. We can even hold it tomorrow! If it’s delayed for half a month, nobody knows what might happen. What if Flossie gets pregnant with Justin’s baby in the meantime? Wouldn’t that be awkward?”

Jack chimed in and tried to persuade Flossie, “If we get it done quickly, you’ll be a part of our family sooner. Our families will become inseparable. We can even help your family make a comeback or take revenge.”

His words instantly made everyone upset—or at least, Flossie was. Her face darkened as she recalled unpleasant memories.

Sophia immediately glared at Jack and snapped, “Why did you bring that up? They’re about to get married. It’s a happy event for our families! Why must you talk about revenge? It’s bad luck!”

Everyone knew someone had deliberately targeted and framed the Ellsworth family back then. Even outsiders couldn’t bear to recall that. As the only one who bore all the misery after her family was ruined, Flossie must have been very desperate and heartbroken at that time.

Ordinary people would never mention that. Unfortunately, Sophia’s straightforward husband was a born comedian. He had mentioned that on purpose, infuriating her.

“It’s okay.” Flossie flexed her fingers and tried her best to appear at ease. “My heartbreaking past is gone, but I need to help my family make a comeback and avenge my parents. My brother and I have always worked hard for it, so of course I’ll be glad to receive your help.”

“Brother?” Austin frowned and asked hurriedly, “You have a brother?”

“Yes, I do.” Flossie nodded.

Austin’s eyes went wide and he asked in disbelief. “Your biological brother? Is he Maurice’s grandson?”

“Yes, we’re twins,” Flossie admitted openly.

She felt that her brother was the greatest reward from god. She had announced it at the very beginning too, but Austin might have overlooked it given his age. Justin, meanwhile, didn’t tell Austin either since everyone knew Flossie had a brother.

It was the first time Austin learned about that, and he was naturally excited.

“That’s great! I want to see him and confirm if he takes after Maurice!”

Austin was delighted. He was eager to meet Quinton and sounded more eager than when he was urging Flossie and Justin to marry.

“Dad, we need to ask Flossie about that first. Honestly… Flossie’s brother isn’t a normal guy. Maybe he doesn’t want to see us and is against this marriage.”

Sophia had read the news about Quinton. She was aware of his special experiences, and what a dangerous and difficult person he was.

Honestly… It bothered her. She didn’t want her family to be connected to an infamous criminal involved in illegal businesses.

Austin became more interested and asked Sophia, “What kind of a person he is? Tell me!” “Uh, have you ever heard of Water Dock at Beach City?”

“Of course!” Austin snorted, disdainful. “That place is full of shady businesses. Why did you bring that up?”

When she heard such aggressive words from Justin, Sophia immediately cleared her throat to stop him from talking.
