Filed To Story: A Second Chance with My Billionaire Love
Xavier’ss ex-girlfriends were just like time bombs that might blow up at any time. Since she was already madly in love with him, Leia decided to blow everything up instead.
Despite the great pain. She made up her mind to break up with her beloved Xavier when she got back home.
At that time, news from Liam’s room finally came….
“Oh, no! Something’s wrong!” someone screamed, “Mr. Osborne lost too much blood and needs a blood transfusion immediately! Whose blood type is O?”
Leia couldn’t hear that well. She immediately calmed down and returned to Liam’s room.
“There was a slight deviation when we withdrew the knife, causing massive bleeding. The patient needs a blood transfusion immediately. If not, he’ll die!” the nurse announced; her hands were bloody, and she was sweating profusely.
“Use mine!” Leia hurriedly dashed over, gasping for breath. “I’m his younger sister. I’m sure my blood type is compatible.”
The nurse shook her head and cautiously refused, “No, it’s advisable not to have an immediate family member do this. There might be a negative response.”
“Use mine. My blood type is O.” Flossie stood up and rolled her sleeve, her tone firm.
“No way!” Leia refused, looking at Flossie. “You’ve just recovered. I can’t see you take the risk.” Flossie was poisoned before, and barely survived because Halston had successfully gathered some valuable herbs. Her body wasn’t as strong as before. If she suddenly donated her blood to another person and triggered her old injuries, the consequences would be unimaginable.
“It’s okay. I’ve recovered. Plus, my blood can regenerate. A regular blood donation is good for me!” Flossie knew what Leia was worried about. Leia was aware that Flossie’s body wasn’t as healthy as before, but Flossie still wanted to do something to make up for her guilt.
“No, I won’t let you do it.” Leia stood firmly before Flossie, her eyes teary. “You guys are the most important people to me. Liam’s already lying in there. I can’t watch another person go in there to take the risk. I can’t endure two worries!”
Although Leia resented Flossie for Liam’s injury, she still couldn’t hide her concern for Flossie at that critical moment. They were best friends forever.
Leia’s words moved Flossie. “Lei, you…”
Just now, Flossie was filled with immense guilt. She thought Leia would never forgive her…
“Lei, don’t worry about me. I’m just going to donate some blood. Wait patiently. Both of us will soon be fine.” Flossie held Leia’s hands and reassured the latter. She wanted Leia to relax.
However, Leia refused to budge and remained standing in front of Flossie.
When they were at a stalemate, someone entered the room. It was none other than Amber, whom Liam had saved.
“My blood type is O too. Plus… Liam saved me. I should save him now.”
Amber calmly lay beside Liam and smiled at the doctor as she talked. She tilted her head and looked at his unconscious self. She wasn’t terrified at all. Rather, she was overjoyed.
“No, Ms. Jenkins! If Mr. Jenkins learns you’re donating your blood for another man, it’ll drive him mad!”
The doctor looked at Amber, too terrified to act. Everyone in the fort knew how much Benjamin cared about Amber. He would never let anyone off the hook if they harmed her, let alone donating so much blood.
“He won’t be angry.” Amber sounded indifferent. “He didn’t even care about me. If it weren’t for Liam, Matt would have killed me. I want to donate my blood to Liam. No one can stop me, not even Dad.”
“But…” The doctor was too scared to act rashly.
“Do it. If not, I’ll cut my veins to release the blood.” Amber seemed to have anticipated the doctor’s hesitation. She fished out a blade she got somewhere and abruptly placed it against her wrist.” Then, I’ll die of blood loss. Is that worth it?”
“Oh, no!”
The doctor never expected the usually gentle Amber would suddenly become so tough and stubborn. He stopped babbling and immediately started the blood transfusion. After all, Liam’s condition was urgent.
When Flossie and Leia learned about that incident, they stopped fighting and became very worried. “I’m sorry!” Leia suddenly said. She flexed her fingers as she watched Flossie pace back and forth at the door of the room.
“Huh?” Flossie stopped, stunned. “Why…did you apologize to me? Shouldn’t I do that instead?”
“I got anxious just now and threw a tantrum.” Guilt overcame Leia. She acted as if she had made a mistake. “I must be stupid. How could I ignore you and roll my eyes at you? I must be crazy. I’m sorry, Flossie… I’ll dig my eyes out now!”
She felt that she should punish herself for rolling her eyes at her friend, whom she admired more than anything.
“Hahaha! You’re so funny!” Flossie laughed, amused. She was happy to see Leia back to her usual self. They didn’t fall out with each other because of this incident.
Flossie hugged Leia lovingly, feeling sorry for her, and added carefully, “Silly! You don’t have to apologize to me. I made a mistake. It’s okay for you to be angry at me. I’m just afraid you’ll be angry forever and stop talking to me.”
“Never! You’re the most important person to me. Honestly, you’re more important to me than everyone else. I’ll never ignore you!” Leia said, expressing her affection as if she was Flossie’s number one fan.
She always felt that friendship was far superior to love. She must have been an idiot to get jealous of Flossie just now.
Justin and Xavier watched them make peace, but also felt ignored. It filled them with both happiness and sadness.
Justin shrugged at Xavier and criticized him. “Look! You’re just a fallback guy.”
Before, Xavier always criticized Justin, calling him Flossie’s fallback guy and that he could never be Flossie’s boyfriend.
As it turned out, both women treated them the same. They could live without men.
“We might be the same, but Halston isn’t!” Xavier said proudly. He was Halston’s number one supporter.
After a long wait, there was finally some news.
“Good news, everyone! Ms. Jenkins’ blood matched Mr. Osborne’s. Mr. Osborne is out of danger since he got a blood transfusion in time. He’ll wake up soon. It’s getting late, so you should all get some rest,” the doctor said as he exited the blood transfusion room.
“Great! Liam’s out of danger now!” Leia leaped happily, moved to tears. “Wonderful! I knew he’d be fine! Thank god!”
“Well, I told you not to worry, but you refused to listen. You were worried for nothing.” Xavier was delighted, too. He watched her dotingly, happy that she had finally relaxed.
At the very least, she would stop being cold to him and find fault with him.
Unexpectedly, Leia still found Xavier an eyesore and glared at him. “What does it have anything to do with you? I don’t want to talk to you!”
Then, she held Flossie’s arm and yawned. “Let’s go, Flossie. We can finally sleep. I want to sleep with you tonight.”
The two friends returned to their room, leaving Xavier and Justin dumbfounded.
When they were gone, Justin kicked the pebble on the ground and tried to sound Xavier out. “Are you sure Halston won’t come?”
“It’s none of your business. Stop asking about that,” Xavier said with a hollow smile that didn’t reach his eyes. He was astute enough to sense that Justin was trying to sound him out.
“No, it concerns me.” Justin pocketed his hands, looking relaxed and casual. “If he doesn’t come, I’ll know that he’s given up on Phoenix. Then, I can do something big!”
“Hmph! Something big? What can you do?” Xavier sized Justin up disdainfully, snorting. “All you do is boast. If you were any good, you would have won Flossie over. You wouldn’t have to be a fallback guy like me, who could never win them over!”
“That’s what you think. I know Phoenix cares about me,” Justin said proudly, glancing at Xavier smugly. “At the very least, she likes to hang around with me and speak her mind with me. But you? Ms. Osborne just shuns you.”
“You bastard! How dare you! Do you want to get beat up?” Xavier snarled, furious. Justin had touched a sore spot, yet he couldn’t refute it.
“No, I’m different from you. Lei shuns me because she loves me! Flossie feels nothing about you, so she can tell you everything…” Xavier shook his head and gave Justin a pitiful look. “You aren’t even a fallback guy! You’d better give up. Don’t embarrass yourself.”
“Why?” Justin said calmly. “I just want you to tell Halston that I’m going to do something big.” “Hahaha! Fine. Tell me what you’re going to do.”
At first, Xavier thought Justin was merely bragging since the latter kept repeating that. However, curiosity got the better of him.
“I’ll bring Phoenix to see my parents. If she’s okay with it, we’ll get married. This army is the wedding gift my family prepared for her.” Justin smiled, his tone eager.
