Then, he left the place with his phone. Josephine batted her eyes, wondering why he didn’t connect the call in front of her. All the same, she didn’t read too much into it. She recalled that she had to return to the office and write a report later. As such, she picked up the coffee and left the place. After she rounded a corner, she heard Ethan’s voice coming from the balcony.
Jared stared at Alden’s photo with an extremely disgusted look in his cold eyes. Back then, this man had smashed the chess pieces right in front of Ellen during the finals.

Just then, Stanley’s phone rang. He reached out and picked up the call. “Hello. Did you get any information from eavesdropping?”

Not long after Stanley listened to a portion of the recording, he spoke to Jared, who was still on the phone. “Young Master Jared, we’ve found something. Listen to this.”
Jared glanced at Stanley, then said gently over the phone, “I’ll go home to you as soon as possible.”
“Okay, don’t overwork yourself,” Ellen said in concern. After hanging up, Jared sat down at the table and listened to the audio recording. Two drunken voices were heard speaking.
“Jay, I helped you this time, so you’d better thank me properly.”
“Of course, I will.” “That girl is outstanding, though. If I play against her in the future, I’m honestly not sure if I’d be able to win.”
“I’ll make use of this incident to bar her from entering competitions, and you won’t ever see her at any matches in the future.” “That’s great. I’ll have hopes of getting first place next year.”
