“No!” she yelled, struggling even harder.

But her feeble resistance was too weak in front of him.

Right now, he was like a wild beast. No matter how she screamed or struggled, he remained indifferent, following his instincts to possess and claim her.

Because only then could he feel less pain.

Not enough… he wanted more…

Only this thought occupied Chandler’s mind.

The pain had driven him completely insane.

This pain was like being trapped in a desert of flames, no matter how he struggled, he couldn’t escape.

His whole body burned as if every drop of blood was evaporating.

But suddenly, it was as if a source of water appeared, so comforting that it made his soul tremble.

The body’s instinct drove him to desperately reach for this source of water, to want more.

But suddenly, there were faint cries, faintly reaching him.

Crying… who was crying?

Why did these cries make him feel so unbearable? It was suffocating, even more than the pain of being engulfed in flames.

Stop crying, please stop crying!

He kept shouting in his mind. The suffocating feeling was like waves of cold air, constantly sweeping over him, briefly awakening him from that intense agony.

These cries… were Tina’s cries.

Chandler struggled to open his eyes, using all his strength. With trembling hands, he propped himself up and looked at Tina, who was beneath him, her face filled with tears.

Tina was crying…

Her tears kept streaming down her cheeks, so many tears that it almost took his breath away.

He had once vowed to himself never to make her cry again!

But now, he had made her cry once more!

“I’m sorry…” Chandler croaked, using all his remaining restraint to let go of Tina. “You go… close the door and go far away, don’t come near me…”

He struggled to speak, his mind and body silently fighting each other.

His body desperately longed to be close to her, because being close, holding her, would alleviate the pain in his body.

But that instinctive impulse was not limited to just holding her.

Tina looked at Chandler with teary eyes, thinking that he might have regained some normalcy. Instead, she saw him suddenly struggle to stand up and stumble towards the framed picture hanging on the wall. He forcefully smashed the frame.

Tina was stunned, but then she gasped in disbelief as Chandler reached out with his bare hands to grab the broken glass from the shattered frame!

The sharp glass immediately caused his hand to bleed profusely, staining his entire hand crimson.

“Chandler… what are you doing?” Tina’s voice trembled.

“Tina… you leave, I won’t stay clear-headed for long…” he struggled to say.

Now he could only use this pain to fight against the instinct in his body, to make himself stay clear-

headed for a little longer. “Go… close the door… pretend you didn’t see anything…”

“What’s going on with you? I’ll call for emergency help…” Tina said, reaching for her phone.

“No!” Chandler interrupted. “It’s a curse from the witch… I’ll be fine in a while… no need to go to the hospital… you… just don’t stay here, I’ll lose control and hurt you… go! Just go!”

In the end, his voice had become almost voiceless and hoarse.

Tina stood still, in a daze.

Chandler felt the desire in his body intensify. Wherever she stood, it was like a silent temptation.

The blood in his veins seemed to be shouting, wanting to possess her!

Suddenly, Chandler rushed towards Tina and firmly grabbed her wrist.

Tina snapped back to reality, panic flashing in her eyes.

She had been absent-minded just now; she should have left as soon as possible!

But now, being held by him like this, she couldn’t leave…

Just as Tina was about to struggle, Chandler dragged her out of the room. Then, in the next moment, his voice intermittently rang out.

“Leave! I’ll be fine, so… you absolutely must not open this door…”

As his voice fell, he released her wrist, the door slammed shut, and Tina was left outside alone.

Tina looked at the closed door, still faintly hearing Chandler’s agonized screams from inside.

And on her wrist, there were bloodstains, his blood!

Although she had escaped a disaster, why did her heart feel heavy, with no sense of relief? There was only worry!

What would happen to him?

He said it was a curse from the witch, a so-called curse that would cause him such agony?

For the first time, curses and witchcraft became clear concepts in front of her!

Can curses and witchcraft really cause such unbearable pain in people?

She had never known that one could be in such excruciating pain.

How long would he have to endure this kind of pain? Tina stood outside the door, constantly listening to the faint screams of agony coming from the other side.

Her body seemed to be filled with a wave of pain.

It was Chandler who was supposed to be in pain, so why was she feeling it too?!

The sensation of pain seemed to be getting stronger and stronger, stabbing at her heart.

Tina stood dumbfounded at the doorway of the room, feeling the waves of pain wash over her.

Chandler didn’t know how long he had been in pain. He had passed out at one point due to the pain but then woke up again because of it.

The room was a mess, the blood on his palms had dried up. The pain from the wounds slowly brought him back to consciousness and reminded him of what had happened last night.

Yes, Tina had come, and she had entered this room, witnessing his most vulnerable state.

And last night, he had almost disregarded Tina’s wishes and forced himself upon her!

Thankfully, he hadn’t!

Chandler lowered his gaze to his palm covered in wounds. He had pierced his palm with broken glass yesterday, managing to push Tina out of the room just enough to maintain a shred of sanity.

If he had truly ignored Tina’s wishes and forced himself upon her, he would never forgive himself!

Chandler took a deep breath and opened the door, stepping out of the room.

He needed to freshen up and tend to the wounds in his palm.

But in the next moment, he froze in shock.

Tina was leaning against the wall next to the door, her eyes closed, as if she had fallen asleep.

Why was she still here?

Why hadn’t she gone back to the Stephenson family and stayed here instead?

Could it be that she…

Chandler suddenly felt anxious and quickly crouched down to check on Tina, afraid that something might have happened to her and she had passed out.

Tina was startled awake by Chandler’s actions.

“Chandler?” Tina looked at him and softly called his name.

“How are you?” Chandler anxiously looked at Tina. “Are you feeling unwell? I’ll take you to the hospital now!”

“How about you?” Tina asked in response. “Are you still in pain? Oh, your hand…”

She suddenly reached out and grabbed his wrist, then saw the scars in his palm!

Tina’s face turned pale in an instant. While she had thought that his wounds might be severe from grabbing the glass barehanded and losing so much blood, she was still surprised by the extent of the injuries in his palm!

“How did it get so serious? You…you…” The rest of her words got stuck in her throat, and tears kept rolling down her cheeks.

“I’m fine, it’s just a minor injury. It looks worse than it actually is!” Chandler quickly explained.

Tina choked up, looking at him with teary eyes. “Back then, you were in so much pain, why did you still…?”

“I didn’t want to hurt you,” he said. “I was almost losing my sanity at that time, and the parasite inside me was craving you. If I didn’t do that, you might have been…”

Tina almost instinctively tried to say it was okay.

But she couldn’t say it, choked up with emotion.

Is it really okay?

Does it mean that she would rather have sex with Chandler in that way than see his hand injured so severely?

“Anyway, let’s go to the hospital to treat your hand injury as soon as possible,” Tina said, regardless of whether it was a curse or a hex, she wanted him to take care of the wound first before dealing with everything else.

As she spoke, she took the lead and walked forward, but after a few steps, she realized that Chandler wasn’t following her.

“What’s wrong with you? Come on!” Tina said.
