Lina didn’t dare to think further.
Finally, she could only ask her daughter, “If you divorce Chandler, would you be able to love someone else?”
“I don’t know, I should be able to.”
“So, do you think he can too?”
“Probably.” Tina gently lowered her eyes, “After all, in this world, there is no one who truly cannot live without another!”
The next day, Tina and Chandler went to the hospital’s newborn ward.
The baby was still in the incubator, but compared to what Tina had seen before, it was much better, and it seemed to have grown a bit, no longer as fragile as before as if it could disappear at any moment.
“Have you thought about the baby’s name?” Tina and Chandler entered the room after putting on sterile gowns.
When her hand touched her daughter’s tiny hand, an indescribable feeling surged up.
This was her daughter, the little life she had fought so hard to protect.
“I’ve thought of some names, I’ve written them down, you can take a look later when we leave,”
Chandler said.
The nurse took the baby out of the incubator and let Tina try holding the baby.
Chandler seemed worried that Tina still had injuries and might not have the strength to hold the baby.
Tina said, “It’s okay, I still have some strength left, I want to hold her.”
The nurse carefully placed the baby in Tina’s arms.
Tina held the baby, watching her daughter’s little hands wave slowly, a smile appeared on her face.
“By the way, do you want to hold her?” Tina said.
Chandler seemed hesitant.
Tina felt a bit disappointed, “If you don’t want to, then forget it.”
“No!” he quickly denied, “I’m just not sure how to face her, I do want to hold her!”
So the little baby was handed over to Chandler’s arms.
He carefully looked at the tiny baby in his arms.
Different from his previous impression, her skin was not as wrinkled as before, gradually becoming fuller, and faintly showing some resemblance to Tina.
This was his and Tina’s daughter!
“I’m sorry, it’s Dad’s fault for not protecting you and not finding you and your mom earlier,” Chandler whispered.
On his handsome face, there was an indescribable sense of guilt and self-reproach.
When visiting time was over, Tina and Chandler left the neonatal ward.
The little one would still have to stay here for some time until she reached the required weight before she could be discharged.
Tina turned to Chandler and said, “Let’s go on a date next.”
“A date?” Chandler was taken aback.
“Let’s just consider it as starting to fall in love again. Otherwise, how can I fall in love with you all over again?” Tina said.
Instead of waiting for the memories to suddenly come back, it would be more practical to try and see if she could fall in love with him again.
He looked at her tenderly and said, “Alright, let’s go on a date then.”
“What did we do when we went on dates before?” she asked curiously.
“We would go shopping, eat whatever you wanted, or do whatever you wanted, like going to see a movie, an art exhibition, or a concert if there was something you wanted to see,” Chandler said.
Tina frowned. “Why is it always what I want? What about you? When we go on dates, is there nothing that we do that you want to do too?”
“I’m a bit boring, I don’t have any particular hobbies,” Chandler said.
For him, being with her and seeing her happy was already a source of joy.
“Well, you should think about what you like too,” Tina said.
These words made Chandler pause for a moment.
The old Tina had said something like this to him before.
“Chandler, you can’t always just go along with what I like. I feel like you’re indifferent to everything. I know you care about me, and even though this special care makes me happy, don’t you think your life would be more interesting if you didn’t always do that?”
What he liked…
Was simply having her company.
But at this moment, he was afraid that saying it like this would only increase her psychological burden, so he smiled and said, “Alright, I’ll think about it.”
“Then, for now, let’s have a date like we usually do. You can take me on a date,” Tina said.
Maybe doing some of the things they used to do would help her memories to come back.
After looking at so many old photos and videos of her and Chandler, she felt that if she couldn’t remember those things, it would be a kind of regret.
“But can your body handle it?” Chandler was a bit worried.
“Actually, my body is already quite fine. The doctor even suggested that I do more activities,” Tina said.
“Alright then,” Chandler said.
The activities Chandler chose for the following plans were relatively low in physical exertion, such as watching a movie or having tea.
Just as the two of them finished their meal and were about to go to the parking lot, Tina caught a glimpse of a wedding photo hanging on a glass wall in the mall.
Looking at the happily married couple in the photo, Tina suddenly said, “Did we take wedding photos back then?”
“We did,” Chandler’s voice was somewhat hoarse.
“I want to see them,” Tina turned to look at Chandler. “Can you show me those photos?”
In the Stephenson family, although her mother had given her many photos and videos of her and
Chandler’s past, she hadn’t given her any photos or videos related to her wedding.
So she speculated that it was possible that because of the incident she encountered on her wedding day, there was nothing in her home related to her marriage at all.
“Okay,” Chandler agreed.
Driving, Chandler took Tina directly to his place.
This was also the first time Tina came to Chandler’s place after losing her memory.
Strangely, she had a familiar feeling about this place. Even when she was thirsty and wanted to drink water, she would instinctively take out the couple’s cup she and Chandler bought together from the cabinet and prepare to pour water.
“Do I come here often?” Tina asked.
“Hmm,” he responded.
Tina couldn’t help but smile. It seemed that even though she lost her memory, her body still retained some instinctive habits.
Then, Chandler showed her their wedding photos and some videos taken on their wedding day.
As Tina sat on the sofa, watching the wedding scenes playing on the large screen in the living room, her emotions fluctuated.
She looked beautiful and happy in the video.
Especially when she stood side by side with Chandler and they smiled at each other, anyone could see that they were in love with each other.
She loved this man deeply!
And at this moment, she felt a strange affection in her heart.
“Chandler.” Tina suddenly turned around and spoke to him sitting beside her, “Can I hug you?”
He was somewhat surprised but did not object, “Of course you can.”
So she approached him and embraced his waist with both hands, burying her body in his arms.
His embrace was warm, and his breath gave her a sense of reassurance.
If she didn’t resist and chose to slowly accept, she realized that even though her brain had forgotten
Chandler, her body remembered him!
After a moment, she looked up at the handsome face in front of her, and a certain desire suddenly arose in her heart.
This desire was so familiar as if she had longed for it countless times before!
And at this moment, she didn’t want to suppress this sudden desire.
“Chandler, I want to kiss you,” Tina whispered.
Chandler was taken aback and looked at her with some surprise.
“If you don’t want to, you can refuse,” she added.
He couldn’t help but smile. How could he refuse? Because this was what he longed for!
“I don’t mind, I’m happy,” he responded.
After hearing his answer, Tina’s lips met Chandler’s as she had wished.
A shallow kiss, the touch of their lips, that familiar feeling but still overwhelming.
The desire, instead of being satisfied, makes her want more!
She wants to deepen this kiss, to be more intimate with him…
