Then in the future, she will surely fall in love with him again!

Besides, he is such a good person!

“What’s wrong?” Tina looked at his absentminded gaze, prompting Kit to ask.

Tina smiled, “I just think it’s great that the person I fell in love with is you.

However, after hearing her words, he suddenly stiffened and asked, “Do you really think… that it’s a good thing for you to fall in love with me?”

“Hmm,” she nodded.

How Wonderful It Is to Fall in L… A wave of guilt surged within him.

If she were to learn the truth in the future, she probably wouldn’t smile at him like she does now, or say such words!

“By the way, what are my parents like?” Tina suddenly asked.

Kit’s expression subtly changed. Although he knew she would eventually ask this question, he still wished she would ask it later if possible.

“Your parents… they… they…” he said several times, but struggled to get the words out.

Once one lie is spoken, it often requires more lies to cover it up.

And lies, they only multiply.

“Have they… passed away?” Tina managed to say these words with difficulty. In truth, she had considered this possibility.

If her parents were still alive, they would have searched for her everywhere.

But it was Kit who found her.

And after finding her, Kit didn’t urgently contact anyone. It could be inferred that her parents were likely no longer alive. Otherwise, why wouldn’t Kit help her get in touch with her family after finding her?

Kit pursed his thin lips, remaining silent.

To Tina, this silence meant consent.

Suddenly, a feeling of discomfort surged within Tina. Although she had lost her memory and didn’t remember her parents or what kind of life she had before, she couldn’t help but feel a sense of sadness.

It was as if it was telling her how much she had loved her parents in the past!

Seeing Tina in distress, Kit felt a bitter taste in his mouth. Originally, he should have been happy.

She was rescued and could reunite with her parents immediately.

But now, she felt sad because of his lies.

Guilt engulfed him, but he couldn’t bring himself to speak the truth.

“I’m sorry,” Kit muttered.

Bitterly, Tina said, “You have nothing to apologize for, no need to say sorry.”

At night, Kit decided to lie down on the sofa in the guest room. Tina said, “You should sleep on the bed, since there are two beds and it won’t affect each other. Besides, we used to be lovers, so… it’s not a big deal.”

Having even conceived a child, it’s clear that they have seen everything there is to see, so there’s no need to be shy!

“Well… alright,” Kit agreed, his ears turning slightly red. “By the way, you should go take a shower first.

It’ll make you feel more comfortable.”

“Okay,” Tina nodded, but immediately after, she had a troubled look on her face.

“What’s wrong?” Kit asked.

“I… don’t have any clean clothes to change into,” she said awkwardly.

She didn’t have many clothes at Drogo’s house either. Drogo only prepared two sets of old clothes for her to change into.

And since she escaped, she naturally didn’t bring any clothes to change into.

Kit looked at the tattered clothes Tina was wearing, feeling uneasy. She used to be the envied Miss

Stephenson of the Stephenson family, always having the best of everything. But now…

“You go ahead and shower, I’ll go buy some clothes for you,” Kit said.

“But…”

“I’ll be back soon! There’s a mall right outside, and it’s not closed yet!” With that, Kit hurriedly left the room.

The room was suddenly empty, leaving only Tina.

Tina lowered her head and looked at her bulging belly. “Baby, your father seems to be impatient, but he’s really good. After you’re born, he’ll definitely like your dad.”

Then, her belly moved, as if the child inside was responding to her!

Tina took off her clothes and turned on the faucet in the bathroom.

The faucet here was completely different from the ones in the village, but strangely enough, she knew exactly how to use it without anyone teaching her.

She must have used a similar faucet before.

Tina thought to herself.

Just then, the sound of the door opening rang out!

Tina shuddered and immediately became nervous. “Who is it?!” she shouted.

Because it was a hotel bathroom, it had opaque glass as a barrier, so her voice easily carried outside.

“It’s me,” Kit’s voice came through, and then he said to Tina, “I put the clothes you need to change into on the washbasin over here. You can take them in and wear them yourself later.”

Tina immediately felt relieved. “Okay.”

After she finished washing up, she changed into the clean clothes that Kit had bought for her.

Surprisingly, they fit her well and they were even maternity clothes.

Tina pushed open the glass door from the sink and saw Kit sitting on the sofa. On the coffee table in front of the sofa, there were a lot of fruits, snacks, and milk.

Obviously, he had just bought them.

“Now that you’re pregnant, you need to eat more and replenish your nutrition, you know? You’ve become too thin compared to before,” Kit said.

Now, apart from her large belly, her limbs looked extremely slender, as if she would collapse with a gust of wind.

He could imagine what her eating conditions would be like in that village. She probably couldn’t eat well at all.

“Thank you,” Tina said. She really needed to supplement her nutrition now.

A complicated light flashed in Kit’s eyes. “Tina, you don’t need to thank me at all. I just hope that in the future… you won’t dislike me.”

“Why would I dislike you?” Tina smiled and said, “You’re so good to me, I can’t help but like you.”

Her smile deepened the guilt in his heart. “In the future, even if I do something wrong, would you still forgive me?”

“What could you possibly do wrong?” Tina asked.

Kit’s smile became even more bitter. “Just… hypothetically speaking, I’m afraid that if I really do something wrong in the future, you won’t forgive me.”

“No, I will definitely forgive you,” Tina said.

His heart started to leap with joy. As long as she was willing to forgive him…

But her next words made his body turn ice-cold.

She said, “Because you’re the father of the child, and you’re the person I love.”

She said it so naturally, but it made his heart sink into an abyss with no bottom.

“What’s wrong? You look pale,” Tina said. “Did I say something wrong just now?”

“No,” he quickly said, “Maybe I’m just a bit tired. Resting for a while will be fine.”

“Then have a good rest tonight,” Tina said worriedly.

Kit stood up and suddenly hugged Tina. “Tina, what if I’m not the person you love?”

Because the father of the child in her belly, as well as the person she loved, was Chandler!

“Are you worried that I have no memory and won’t fall in love with you again?” Tina obviously misunderstood the meaning of Kit’s words.

He remained silent, not saying a word.

Thinking that she had guessed correctly, she raised her hand and hugged him from behind, burying her face in his chest. “No, I believe that you’re someone I have loved before, and I will definitely fall in love with you again, just like the song you sang for me today. I really liked it!”

Is that so? His eyelashes trembled, and his eyes were filled with sadness.

But between them, there was never any love!

The person she once loved was not him either!

Would she still fall in love with him, like this?

In the end, he didn’t have the courage to tell her that he wasn’t the person she used to love.

After uttering that lie, he knew that it would continue until the day it could no longer be hidden.

At night, Kit lay in bed, looking at Tina lying on the other bed, already sound asleep.

She slept peacefully nearby, and he could even reach out and touch her.

It all felt like a dream.

If he closed his eyes and fell asleep now, would it all cease to exist when he woke up tomorrow?

“Tina, will you really forgive me in the future?” he whispered.

But even if it was just a fleeting dream, for him, it was an unattainable dream under normal circumstances.
