But if she really was pregnant, did he have the courage to tell her everything?

Would she be disappointed in him?

Would she think he had been using her all along?

In fact, he had been with her since she was very young, cultivating their relationship, with the intention of using her.

But he never expected that he would be the one who fell deeper in love.

“I also like children,” Tina smiled.

Especially their child, she should like him/her very much!

In her mind, she began to imagine what their child would look like, waving little hands in her arms, calling her “mommy,” and she would kiss the baby’s little face…

“Hmm, just thinking about it feels wonderful!”

“But will your parents agree? If you really get pregnant, it could mean dropping out of school and affecting your studies,” Chandler said.

“But compared to a little life, it’s worth it, isn’t it?” Tina said. “And don’t worry, my mom will definitely support my decision. As for my dad…well, you just have to dress a little more modestly when you come to my house.”

She thought her dad would probably beat up Chandler, though!

“If we have a baby, I’ll definitely be a good mom!” Tina smiled and turned to Chandler. “And I’m sure you’ll be a great dad too!”

Her smile made Chandler’s heart skip a beat.

If they really had a child and she could forgive everything that happened before, he would be so happy!

So happy that it almost felt unreal!

Back in Emerald City, everything was normal for Chandler, but Tina had a new job – asking about

Chandler’s health every day, as if afraid he would get sick again.

Chandler was a little uncomfortable with this.

“I’m fine, really,” he said.

“So, that day, you were really drugged by someone with bad intentions?” she asked curiously.

“No, it was the parasites in my body,” he hesitated for a moment, then spoke with determination.

“Gu worms?” She was stunned.

He pursed his lips tightly, considering how to say it, “Do you remember the portrait of an ancient woman in the church that day? She was a woman loved by Hunter’s ancestor, but also cursed Hunter’s family with Gu poison because of love!”

Chandler began to reveal Hunter’s secrets to Tina, which should have been told to her after marriage or even after having children.

But now, he told her in advance.

As Tina listened, her eyes widened, as if she were listening to some incredible fairy tale.

This is just too unbelievable!

“So, you still have Gu worms in your body now?”

“Yes,” he nodded.

“So, if we have sex, it can suppress the activity of the Gu worms and calm them down?”

“Yes.”

“In the past, every time the Gu worms were about to attack, you went back to Hunter’s family to soak in the medicinal bath to calm them down? And the black lines on your body were also caused by the Gu worms?”

“Yes.”

The two of them asked and answered each other.

Chandler was unusually nervous. If she found him disgusting because of the Gu worms in his body and hated him for it, what should he do?

But Tina said, “Wow, the Gu worms are so lustful.”

Her words instantly dissolved his nervousness.

“But if that’s the case, it’s easy to handle in the future. If you feel uncomfortable, we can just sleep together for a night!” She said with a smile.

“You really are…” He couldn’t help but laugh. It seemed that whenever he was with her, any negative emotions would disappear.

Perhaps that’s why he wanted to stay by her side even more!

The Stephenson couple’s faces changed when they found out their daughter had visited the Hunter family estate.

Lina asked worriedly about what happened, while Hadwin was almost ready to scold their daughter.

“Do you know how dangerous it is? Are you treating what your father did for Hunter as a joke? What if

Hunter wants to do something to you? What will you do?” Hadwin said angrily.

He felt blood rushing to his head at the thought of his daughter being in danger.

“I’m safe, aren’t I?” Tina said.

“Did Hunter do anything to you?” Hadwin asked irritably.

Well…actually, he did! She was trapped in that church overnight!

But she couldn’t say that now!

“What can he do to me? After all, I’m Chandler’s fiancée. After we get married, I’ll be able to come and go from the Hunter estate. It’s just a matter of time.” Tina deliberately downplayed the situation.

Lina breathed a sigh of relief. “That’s true. After you graduate, you’ll marry Chandler. Hunter shouldn’t do anything to you.”

Hadwin’s face finally softened. “Have you really decided to marry Chandler after you graduate?” he asked.

“Yes, I have. I’m going to marry Chandler,” Tina replied firmly, without any hesitation.

“That’s good,” Hadwin said, and didn’t say anything more.

Meanwhile, Lina was busy asking about Hunter’s mansion.

Tina explained the process, but left out the part about Chandler’s bath and the church.

After her parents finished questioning her, Tina collapsed on her bed, exhausted.

Even now, she still found Chandler’s talk about the bugs and the woman in the church painting unbelievable, but she believed him because she knew he wouldn’t lie to her.

But what did her grandfather mean when he said Chandler had to have a child to live?

If sleeping with her could calm the bugs and end his suffering, what did having a child have to do with the bugs?

But Chandler didn’t want to say more, so she was left with her questions.

Tina saw Weldon again when he gave her and Kit a copy of the photos they had taken.

“By the way, have you seen the real Chandler yet?” Weldon suddenly asked.

Tina tensed up and looked at Weldon warily. After all, she didn’t know how much Weldon knew about

Chandler and the bugs.

“It seems you know something,” Weldon smiled. “Do you know about the church? Have you seen the painting inside the church?”

“You–” Tina stared at Weldon with wide eyes.

Weldon continued, “So, Chandler has something in his body. Do you know what it is?”

“You also know about the curse?” Tina blurted out.

As soon as the words left her mouth, she wanted to curse herself for being so foolish! Come on, the other person never even mentioned the word “curse”!

“It seems you know too,” Weldon smirked. “The curse is something that the Hunter family has been unable to get rid of for generations. If someone in the Hunter family has the curse in their body, it’s difficult for them to live long. Of course, it’s not entirely hopeless. As long as you find the right person, you can be cured. Chandler chose to marry a little girl like you because you are the one who can cure the curse in his body.”

Tina didn’t expect Weldon to know so much!

“So, Chandler is likely just using you. In Hunter, there are many people like you who are used to cure the curse. As a member of the Stephenson family, are you willing to be used like this?” Weldon asked.

Tina stared at Weldon. “Why do I feel like you’re trying to sow discord?”

Tina continued, “Of course, if I misunderstood, I’m really sorry. But Mr. Patel, you know Chandler and have connections with Hunter. However, from your tone just now, it seems like you want me to feel used and have a big fight with Chandler, or even break up with him, isn’t it?”

Chandler seemed surprised that Tina could be so direct, although that was indeed his intention.

Fortunately, Weldon had experienced many storms and quickly regained his composure after Tina’s words made him feel a bit awkward. “What if I really want you to break up with Chandler?” he asked.

Tina blinked. “Why?”

“Of course, it’s because I despise the way the Hunter family uses people,” Weldon said. “They only think about themselves and don’t care about others’ wishes. They even force people who don’t love them to have their children just to keep themselves alive.”

Tina was taken aback. Another child?!

“Is having children so important?” Tina asked.

A bitter smile appeared on Weldon’s lips. “It seems that Chandler hasn’t told you everything,” he said.

Tina remained silent.

“Do you want to know?” Weldon asked. “I can tell you if you agree to a condition.”

“No need!” Tina refused. “If I really want to know, I’ll ask Chandler myself. So, I won’t agree to any conditions. Since there’s nothing else, I’ll leave now!”

After speaking, Tina was about to leave when Weldon’s voice suddenly sounded behind her.

“The placenta of the child born to the person selected by Hunter to cure the curse has the effect of eliminating the curse. So, as long as the placenta is made into medicine and taken, the curse in the body can be resolved! It’s precisely because of this that the people of Hunter will do everything possible to make the selected person have a child!”

Tina’s footsteps suddenly stopped, and she turned to look at Weldon, seeming to not believe what he said.

Weldon sneered lightly. “If you don’t believe it, you can ask Chandler yourself.”

Tina tightly pursed her lips and after a while, said, “I didn’t agree to any conditions, why did you tell me all this?”
