“Yes.” Almost without thinking, the word slipped out of her mouth.
“Good.” He said.
”
Huh? Nancy snapped out of it. What was he saying? Good?
What was good?
The next moment, Mick had already leaned in to her lips, “Then it’s up to you, everything I have is yours, whether you want to bite or kiss, it’s all good!”
Nancy stared at the man’s flushed face in front of her.
Her heart felt even itchier!
Everything he had was hers?
When she heard this, she felt a warm feeling in her heart.
She kissed his cheek, “Mick, everything I have is yours too!”
It seemed like her love for him was growing more and more!
It’s overflowing like it’s too much…
A month later, Nancy was discharged from the hospital before the child.
Her physical recovery was good, although not yet fully recovered, but the rest needed time for slow adjustment.
Because of Nancy’s current physical condition, she needed someone to take care of her, so she moved into the Reed family’s mansion and stayed in Mick’s room.
As for their daughter, Mick named her Sophia Reed.
When Nancy asked why they named the child “Sophia,” Mick said, “Because this child was born too quickly, even before we were ready, so I hope that in her future life, she can slow down a bit.
Sometimes, slowing down may be a kind of blessing.”
“She already has a father like you, which is already a blessing.” Nancy said, knowing that he would protect their daughter’s life in the future.
“Having a mother like you is her blessing.” Mick gazed at Nancy, his eyes becoming deep, and his voice becoming hoarse. “It’s also my blessing.”
If her current physical condition didn’t prevent it, he really couldn’t resist!
Suddenly, Mick stood up and left Nancy with a sentence, “I’m going to the bathroom.”
Nancy was stunned for a moment, then seemed to understand something and her face turned red.
At night, Nancy slept on Mick’s big bed, while Mick set up a small bed in the room.
“We can sleep on the same bed,” Nancy said strangely.
“It’s probably better if we sleep separately, otherwise I’m afraid I won’t be able to resist,” Mick said uncomfortably.
Nancy blinked and immediately understood. “Um…if you really can’t resist, I can help you,” she said, blushing.
Although she was still in postpartum recovery and couldn’t have sex, there were still some things they could
1. do.
“No need, you just rest,” Mick said.
“Don’t you want me to help you?” She leaned closer to him, her sweet scent driving him crazy.
“It’s not that, I just don’t want you to get too tired,” he reluctantly said.
He had always been proud of his self-control, but in front of her, it was fragile and easily broken.
“But I want to,” Nancy said. “I want to touch you and be closer to you. Besides, don’t think of me as too delicate. It won’t tire me out.”
“But…” He still hesitated.
“Mick, it’s not just you who has desires. I can’t resist either,” Nancy said. “So, can we sleep together? I want to fall asleep with you holding me.”
He looked at her and hoarsely said, “Okay…”
After a night of intimacy, Nancy fell asleep contentedly.
And Mick looked at his sleeping wife and couldn’t help but smile bitterly. It seemed that even this wasn’t enough to satisfy him!
His desire for her was far greater than she imagined!
But as long as she was okay, nothing else maltered.
If she also has this need and desire for him, then he can suppress his impulses and try to satisfy her as much as possible.
“Nancy, I love you, and you will always love me… okay?” His low voice echoed in the air.
In response, there was only the sound of her peaceful breathing.
A smile unconsciously appeared on his lips.
Nancy stayed at the Reed House, and aside from being a little unaccustomed to the Reed family’s lifestyle and the servants’ service, everything else went well..
There were no conflicts between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law or between sisters-in-law.
Jasper was eager to take care of Nancy. If Nancy felt uncomfortable in any way, Jasper was the first to ge!
anxious.
Nancy had a good impression of her mother-in-law, Grace.
Although Grace was a highly successful lawyer and the head of the Reed family outside, she had a kind of inexplicable closeness to Nancy.
Perhaps it was because of their similar experiences.
So, in some ways, this mother-in-law was the one who could best understand Nancy’s feelings.
Grace also took care of Nancy very well, not being overbearing, and even consulting with Nancy on some matters.
Especially with regards to the wedding, she respected Nancy’s opinions.
Like a kind elder, she listened to Nancy’s thoughts and gave appropriate advice. This way of getting along made Nancy feel very comfortable.
As the child was still in an incubator at the hospital and Nancy’s body needed to recover, the Reed family decided to schedule the wedding for six months later. Nancy had no objections to this.
Her only request was that the Reed family bring Miss Fowler to Emerald City for her wedding and that
Miss Fowler sit at the head table. To Nancy, Miss Fowler was the adoptive parent of her and her daughter, and someone she planned to honor for the rest of her life, The Reed family readily agreed to her request.
They had already made arrangements with Miss Fowler’s village, as she did not want to accept their gifts or move to Emerald City for retirement. The village chief was asked to take care of Miss Fowler, and a doctor was assigned to give her regular check-ups. The Reed family’s care for Miss Fowler put
Nancy’s mind at ease.
On the fifth day of her stay with the Reed family, Mick took Nancy to their ancestral hall. Looking at the tablets of the Reed family’s ancestors, Nancy couldn’t help but feel a sense of awe. In front of these tablets, she suddenly felt the passage of time and realized how small a person’s life was in the river of time.
It was rare for a family to have such an ancestral hall to honor their ancestors. On one wall of the hall hung a photo of a young man. He was very handsome, and Nancy thought that Mason, one of the triplets, resembled him somewhat.
“What is this?”
“My grandfather,” Mick said, “After he died, my great-grandfather put his photo here, maybe to warn future generations.”
“Warn?” She was puzzled.
“Because my grandfather cut off ties with the Reed family for my grandmother, but after leaving the
Reed family, their life was not easy. The once high and mighty young master suddenly became an ordinary person with no means of making a living. So my grandmother left my grandfather, and he became even more down and out. In the end, he froze to death on the roadside.”
Nancy was shocked, staring blankly at the man in the photo.
This deceased man… should have had a life that everyone envied, but in the end, he met such a fate.
“My great-grandfather probably wanted to tell the descendants of the Reed family not to be foolish like my grandfather, to give up their family and everything they have for love,” Mick said.
“Based on your grandfather’s experience, your great-grandfather’s thoughts are not wrong,” Nancy said.
“My father originally thought he wouldn’t fall in love like my grandfather, but then he met my mother,
Mick said. “In fact, if you meet the right person, what’s wrong with giving up everything? Because if you lose that person, you will feel like you have lost the whole world! Even the meaning of living is lost!”
In the past, his mother chose to jump off a cliff and fall into the sea to prevent his father from making a choice.
He didn’t expect that one day, he would experience the pain that his father had endured at that time.
And only after experiencing it, did he realize that as long as that person is okay, everything else can be sacrificed!
“So Nancy, if it were you, I could also give up everything,” Mick murmured.
Nancy looked at the man in front of her in a daze. This man loved her!
This was so obvious that anyone could see it!
“I won’t make you give up everything. I love you, and I don’t want you to give up anything. I just want to give you more.” She said.
“Yes,” he sighed with a smile, “you’ve given me so much!”
She gave him love, family, and children… He felt so happy when he had all of these things!
Nancy respectfully lit incense and bowed three times to the ancestral tablets in the ancestral hall.
It was because of the Reed family’s ancestors that Mick existed.
“May the ancestors of the Reed family bless Mick with happiness.” Nancy silently prayed in her heart.
A month later, Mick and Nancy’s daughter was finally released from the incubator and brought back to the
Reed House.
Due to being born prematurely, although she had been born for two months, the little one still looked smaller than many newborn babies.
She rarely cried loudly and seemed quieter.
