He calmly waited for her answer, while she had an urge to vomit blood.

“Can’t you tell me?” he said, his voice somehow carrying a dangerous feeling.

No, she didn’t want any more misunderstandings between them!

Veronica quickly said, “No, I can tell you. I have feelings for you now!”

Her face turned even redder!

Oh my god, she must have spoken too loudly. Everyone at the nearby tables probably heard her!

She quickly lowered her head and buried herself in her food, trying to ignore the stares from those around her.

“Really? That’s great,” his voice sounded low.

Great? She looked up at him in surprise, but was stunned when she saw the smile on his lips.

He actually smiled?!

Although the smile was faint, it was beautiful, and it had been so long since she had seen him smile like that.

It made her nostalgic.

After finishing lunch, Veronica and Mason went to the movie theater upstairs.

Watching a movie together is something most couples do, although…they weren’t officially a couple yet.

“Is there any particular movie you want to see?” Veronica asked.

“No,” Mason replied.

This answer was within her expectations, so Veronica said, “Then I’ll go buy the movie tickets.”

“I’ll go buy it. What do you want to watch?” Mason said.

“Then… let’s watch “True Heart’,” she said. It’s a low-budget film that has recently received high praise, and she wanted to see it after reading good reviews.

Mason went to buy the movie tickets, while Veronica went to the other counter to buy drinks and popcorn.

As she was buying, she suddenly heard a voice, “Sister

Veronica!”

Veronica turned around and saw Jasper.

“Jasper.” Veronica was surprised. Why does she keep running into unexpected people today?

“Sister Veronica, are you here to watch a movie?” Jasper asked.

“Yes,” Veronica replied, then looked at William standing next to Jasper. “Are you guys here to watch a movie too?”

“Yes, Jasper and I came to watch a movie together today,” Jasper said.

William seemed to be deep in thought after hearing Veronica’s “too”.

“By the way, Sister Veronica, are you here alone or with friends…” Jasper’s words trailed off as he looked behind

Veronica.

Veronica followed his gaze and saw that Mason was standing behind her.

“Mason!” Mason looked shocked. “Are you guys… here to watch the movie together?” After all, Mason was holding two movie tickets in his hand.

“Why not?” Mason asked back.

Jasper was suddenly at a loss for words. He looked at Mason and then at Veronica. What on earth was going on? Did she… miss something?

For a moment, a silent atmosphere enveloped the four of them.

It was William who broke the silence, “Which movie are you guys watching?”

“The Sincere Heart,” Veronica replied.

“Same here. Is it the same showing?” Jasper asked, looking at his friend Mason.

Mason pursed his lips, “The showing in fifteen minutes.”

“Wow, what a coincidence!” Jasper laughed, “Today, Mason, Sister Veronica, and I are watching a movie together. Did you guys plan to watch it together?”

“Yes, on a date,” Mason said.

Jasper was shocked again, while Veronica laughed awkwardly, knowing how much impact Mason’s words would have on Jasper.

After all, their relationship had almost reached a freezing point before, and now such explosive information was revealed.

Thinking back to herself, she couldn’t believe how much their relationship had changed so suddenly.

“A date?” Jasper was stunned, feeling wave after wave of shock.

Was Mason really on a date with Sister Veronica? What was their relationship now?!

She couldn’t stop thinking about this question even as they entered the theater.

Their seats were not together, with Jasper and William in the fifth row, and Mason and Veronica in the seventh row.

“Alright, stop thinking about it,” William said to Jasper. “The movie is about to start.”

But how could she not think about it!

“William, what’s going on between Mason and Sister Veronica now? Have they made up?” Jasper asked.

“Maybe, at least their relationship doesn’t seem bad. Mason doesn’t usually go to the movies with anyone,” William said.

“Very rarely,” Jasper said. Especially in the years since they separated from Sister Veronica, at least in her impression, Mason had no memory of watching movies with anyone else. “But didn’t Mason hypnotize his feelings? And he seemed to dislike Sister Veronica before.”

“Maybe it was just a disguise for fear,” William said.

“Disguise? Are you saying… Mason is afraid of having feelings for Sister Veronica again?” Jasper asked.

“After all, Veronica was the person he cared about the most, wasn’t she? Hypnosis only fades this feeling, but it doesn’t mean it really doesn’t exist,” William said.

Jasper was speechless. Yes, wasn’t Sister Veronica the person Mason cared about the most? Even

Mason’s care for Sister Veronica once exceeded that of his family!

“Can they really make up this time? Can they be together?” Jasper asked. In recent years, she felt that

Mason had become colder, as if lacking some kind of living “vitality,” as if he was indifferent to everything.

But Mason, who used to be with Sister Veronica, looked more like a “person,” with a smile on his face!

“It depends on them,” William said. “I have always believed that where there’s a will, there’s a way!”

As he finished speaking, he held her hand and their fingers intertwined. “So, between us, I also believe that where there’s a will, there’s a way.”

He kissed the back of her hand, and Jasper felt her heart beat faster. “This is a movie theater!” she whispered.

“I know, it’s so dark around here, no one will notice. Besides, even if they do, it doesn’t matter, we’re boyfriend and girlfriend, aren’t we?”

His voice was like a kind of enchantment, particularly tempting in this dimly lit cinema.

Besides, they were already boyfriend and girlfriend anyway, Jasper thought to himself. And in recent days, their physical contact had become more and more frequent, and she seemed to be getting used to it.

His embrace, his kisses, all made her feel very comfortable, and she would even ask for them herself.

She quite liked this feeling. Thinking about it, Jasper felt that maybe she could have started dating

William a little earlier. I wonder if Mason and Sister Veronica will date in the future?

Meanwhile, Veronica and Mason, who were on Jasper’s mind, were having a slightly awkward conversation.

“Do you want a drink?” she asked.

“Sure,” he replied.

“Do you want popcorn?” she asked again.

“Sure,” he replied again.

This simple way of talking was not uncomfortable for her, after all, even when they were close before, he often spoke very briefly.

However… the old Mason, although he spoke briefly, would still act affectionately towards her.

But now, he wouldn’t do that kind of intimate affection anymore, would he?

After the movie ended, Jasper and William came over again.

“Sister Veronica, it’s still early, how about having afternoon tea together?” Jasper said with a smile.

Veronica looked at Mason and didn’t see any reluctance on his face. His smile was so charming that she couldn’t refuse him. “Okay then,” she said.

The four of them went to a dessert shop in the mall and sat down.

Mason, Jasper, and William were all good-looking and stood out in the crowd. Veronica, on the other hand, was quite ordinary-looking.

As Veronica put it, she was invisible in a crowd.

The four of them ordered some desserts. Jasper’s eyes were clearly shifting between Veronica and

Mason, while William seemed uninterested in Veronica and Mason and kept holding hands with

Jasper.

It wasn’t until the desserts arrived that William let go of Jasper’s hand.

“Sister Veronica, have you made up with Mason?” Jasper couldn’t contain his curiosity and asked directly.

“Well… I guess so,” Veronica replied hesitantly. They should be considered reconciled now.

“Then you should come to Stanford University’s campus festival with us. It’s quite fun!” Jasper invited.
