William was taken aback. “Who is that person?” he asked.
“You know him,” Jason replied, handing William a few photos. The photos showed a man wearing a duckbill cap and a mask talking to the elderly couple in a surveillance screenshot.
There were only a few screenshots, and the man’s appearance was not clear, only his general body shape.
“Your grandparents don’t know him because he deliberately concealed his appearance, so they didn’t get a good look at him. However, when your grandfather was about to fall, he helped him up, leaving his fingerprints on your grandfather’s belt,” Jason explained, taking out another photo and handing it to
William.
William looked at the photo, but it was a picture of Roger, taken secretly, with Roger’s gaze not facing the camera.
“That fingerprint matches his. He’s a student at your school, and it seems like you and Jasper both know him. There was even some misunderstanding between him and Jasper before,” said Jason.
“Yes, Jasper investigated him before, thinking he was Lawrence. But in the end, we compared his blood sample with Lawrence’s DNA and found out they were not the same person,” said William.

“Roger’s blood sample was obtained by Jasper himself, and I sent it for DNA testing without anyone else handling it in between,” said William.
“So, you’re saying that if we really want to change the outcome, all we have to do is change the sample?” Jason asked.
“I haven’t and I won’t,” William replied.
“You must also be afraid of Lawrence being found, right? Jasper feels so guilty about Lawrence, no one knows what would happen if she were to see him again. How would she make it up to him? And what would happen to her feelings for him?” Jason said.
These words were like pointing out directly what William feared the most.
William naturally knew that lying in front of someone like
Jason would be like lifting a rock and hitting himself in the foot.
“Yes, Uncle Reed, I’m afraid. But I also know that Lawrence is a knot in Jasper’s heart. Even though
I’m scared, I still hope that Lawrence is alive and can help untie this knot in Jasper’s heart,” William said.

Stanford University.”
“I’ll have someone investigate him. Since your grandparents’ situation is related to him, maybe the person behind the school forum post is also related to him,” Jason said.

It was a slender young man with a pair of gold-rimmed glasses on his nose. He looked refined but also somewhat gloomy.
“Mason!” Jasper was delighted and quickly stood up to walk towards the person. “Why did you come back today?!”
“I’ll be studying as an exchange student at Stanford University for six months,” Mason said.
“Six months?” Jasper’s face lit up with excitement. “Why didn’t you tell us earlier? That means we’ll be alumni for six months!”
“Yeah,” Mason replied with a nod.
Mason was known for being reserved and had little expression on his face, which contrasted sharply with Jasper’s excitement.
“By the way, do you like men?” Mason asked Mick, following up on his previous question.
Mick raised his eyebrows and stood up, saying, “What if I said yes?”
“Congratulations,” Jasper replied readily.
Mick looked at his younger brother, “Unfortunately, I haven’t found anyone yet. Actually, I don’t care whether I fall in love with a man or a woman, but… no one has made me feel like I want to spend every moment with them and never get tired of them for the rest of my life.”
Although he was never short of women around him, such as when his mother and her friends used to gather and bring along their children.

Veronica was having a tough time, being publicly humiliated by having drinks thrown at her, but she didn’t dare say a word. Even though the Reed family could have paid for her tuition, she insisted on working hard and being a celebrity assistant. It’s really sad that she had to go through that kind of humiliation.”
Mick spoke a lot at once, but unfortunately, Mason’s reaction disappointed him.
“What does it matter?” said the cold voice, “I’ve been flying for most of the day and I’m tired. I’m going back to my room.”
“Hey, Mason, don’t you want to say hello to our parents?” Jasper asked.
“It’s not too late to say hello after I wake up,” Mason replied, then walked up the stairs and headed to his own room.
Jasper and Mick were used to Mason’s indifference.
Although outsiders may see Mason as cold, they knew that he was the type of person who spoke little but acted fiercely. If anyone harmed his family, he could probably take down their entire family!
Jasper muttered, “Big brother, do you think Mason really has no feelings left for Veronica?”
“I don’t know,” Mick shrugged.
“But can emotions really be forgotten so easily? Can someone go from deep love to no feelings at all with just hypnosis?” Jasper asked.
“Who knows, but it seems like not everyone can do this kind of hypnosis. Mason had to put in some effort to find that doctor,” Mick replied.
“I heard from Trista that Uncle Weiss also underwent this kind of hypnosis, but it was eventually broken and Uncle Weiss regained all his feelings for Auntie Kyla,” Jasper said.
“Uncle Weiss and Auntie Kyla are Martin and Kyla, and Trista is their daughter,” she added.

“You should ask Mason about that!” Mick replied.

“It really depends on whether he wants to or not,” a voice suddenly interrupted the siblings’
conversation.

But if he doesn’t want to, even if he accidentally regains the feelings, he can choose to be hypnotized again,”
William explained.
Jasper blinked and was impressed by her boyfriend’s words. She had never thought of it that way.

“Mason has returned,” Jasper replied. “But he’s already gone back to his room to rest. If you want to see him, you’ll have to come back tomorrow.”
