“Isn’t that Bella?” Louisa scrutinized the image before her, exclaiming in disbelief, “That’s our darling daughter Bella! She’s Summer? How can she be Summer? What other secrets about her identity are we not aware of?”
“It really is Bella.” Kenneth observed the clear, bright eyes beneath the mask, “It’s her! Our precious daughter! David, that boy, he didn’t tell us.”
“He probably didn’t want us to spill the beans and affect the concert’s surprise.” Louisa hadn’t expected their daughter to be Summer. Watching the throngs of fans in the audience waving their glow sticks and chanting “Summer, Summer,” she realized Bella’s popularity might even eclipse her brother’s.
She felt a lump in her throat, overwhelmed by her daughter’s success.
“It’s one thing for David to keep it from us, but Chasel and Clark keeping this secret.”Kenneth, feeling a mix of pride and slight betrayal, couldn’t help but pull out his phone to message his sons, [You guys are unbelievable, hiding the fact that Bella is Summer. If your mother and I hadn’t tuned into David’s live concert, we’d still be in the dark about our superstar daughter!]
Hans, in the middle of a meeting, saw a WhatsApp message from his father pop up. He wasn’t going to pay it much attention, but when he glimpsed Bella’s name, he had to read it. His sister was Summer?
At David’s concert? What was going on?
He gestured for a pause, “We’ll continue in thirty minutes.”
As he stood and made his way out of the conference room, he motioned to Julian, “Come with me.”
Julian didn’t understand what was happening. The meeting was supposed to run until nine in the evening, and nothing should be interrupting it. Was there a serious issue at the Collins household?
With these thoughts racing through his mind, he quickened his pace and asked in a hushed tone, “Mr.
Collins, what’s happened?”
“How do you watch a live stream?” Hans asked as he settled into an armchair back in his office, handing over his phone, “I want to see David’s live concert.”
Julian’s face was a mix of shock and confusion. Hans, in the middle of a critical meeting, wanted to watch his brother’s live stream?
This was highly unusual behavior. Hans never showed interest in any concerts, not even his brother’s.
What had changed tonight?
“Just a minute.”Though his mind was flooded with questions, Julian dutifully took the phone, fiddled with it for a moment, and handed it back.
On the stage, the masked girl was singing a duet with David, her clear, beautiful eyes unmistakably belonging to his sister Mirabella!
A spark lit up in Hans’ eyes, his sister was Summer? This was news to him.
It just went to show, his sister had many layers and secrets well-kept.
Like a treasure trove shrouded in mystery, it seemed to hold countless gems, each capable of delivering a tremendous jolt of awe when brought into the light.
“Isn’t that Summer?” Julian’s ears perked up at the familiar female voice. Glancing again at Hans’
phone screen, he exclaimed, “It really is her! David is a legend for snagging her.”
“Is she that hard to get?” Hans asked quietly.
“Super tough. There was this pop sensation who wanted her as a special guest for his concert, offering a whopping five million for just one song. But Summer flat-out rejected him, didn’t even entertain the offer.”
Julian’s eyes were fixed on the phone as he spoke. “She never collaborates with anyone; this is a first.”
He thought to himself that David must have shelled out a pretty penny, at least ten million, right? How else could he have swayed the diva?
“Not just anyone can get her.” Julian added, “Clearly, she respects David’s clout.”
Hans couldn’t help but smirk. How could she not respect her own brother? Probably didn’t take a dime and just did it to back her brother. Their little sister was too kind, too brilliant, just too good to him.
Chasel was out on a mission when he received a message from his father that left him astounded. His sister was Summer? How had he not known?
Alone, he quickly tuned into the live stream and saw David performing a duet with a dazzling, radiant girl. Those eyes – they were unmistakably Bella’s!
He couldn’t believe his sister, who sang so beautifully and was even more famous than David, was their little princess. What had their family done to deserve such a gem?
After hacking into a system, Clark was about to enjoy a coffee break when a WhatsApp notification from his father nearly made him spit out his drink.
He opened the concert live stream and saw his sister and David singing the song “Angel” together.
His sister had surpassed him in medicine, outdone him in hacking, and now she was eclipsing David in singing.
She was truly a sight to behold.
In the audience, Hannah was frantically waving her glow stick, chanting non-stop, “Summer! Summer!”
Alma’s face had turned a shade of sour that could curdle milk.
The seat next to Romeo was vacant as he fondly recorded the mysterious guest on stage with his phone. Her gaze, silhouette, poise – all reminiscent of Mirabella.
Who else could it be but Mirabella?
Alma was blindsided. Mirabella, with such a formidable identity as an internationally acclaimed singer.
How could she master so much, stand at the pinnacle of every field?
“Alma! I just adore her!” Hannah shouted excitedly into Alma’s ear, “It’s her first time performing with another singer, it’s thrilling!”
Alma’s smile was frozen. She was still reeling from the shock.
“Aren’t you a fan of her music? Or are you just starstruck?” Hannah grabbed Alma’s hand, urging her to wave her glow stick. Alma herself used to listen to Summer’s music and even said she’d love to meetSummer for an autograph and photo if she ever got the chance.
Little did she know, Mirabella was Summer.
It wasn’t until that very moment that Alma pieced together the puzzle. The voice she heard in her head, Summer’s soulful melodies, held an uncanny resemblance to Mirabella’s everyday chatter. Sure, when belting out a tune, Summer’s vocals packed an unparalleled punch, with a power that could pierce through hearts and walls alike.
She had never seen the connection between Mirabella and Summer before.
All she could think was that her cousin had truly outdone herself.
Jossie, stationed discreetly at the side of the stage, whipped out her smartphone to capture a candid shot of David and Mirabella, their silhouettes etched against the spotlight.
Who would’ve guessed that Mirabella, seemingly so frail, harbored such tremendous vigor within? She navigated the treacherous highs and lows with such finesse that it was nothing short of breathtaking—a sound that seemed to transcend, cleansing the soul.
As the final notes of “Angel” faded out, David’s eyes shimmered with emotion. “Let’s give it up for tonight’s headliner, Summer, and her flawless rendition of this song,” he announced.
He opened his arms and embraced his sister in a heartfelt hug.
The fans erupted in applause, a thunderous ovation that seemed to roll on endlessly, filled with warmth.
“This song is dedicated to my sister. What did you think when you first laid eyes on it, Summer?” David asked, his voice a mix of hope and nerves as he awaited Mirabella’s response.
“It’s beautiful. I bet every little sister in the world, hearing this song, would be reminded of the good in their big brothers,” Mirabella said, her gaze locking with David’s, her voice laced with gratitude. “You’re a great brother, your sister is so lucky.”David’s smile broadened at her affirmation.
“It’s because my sister is extraordinary.” he said, his sincerity palpable. “She truly is the best sister in the world. I adore her. And right here, I want to tell her, just be herself. Like the lyrics say, her big brother will always have her back, shielding her from storms and paving the way for her triumphs.”
The fans screamed their lungs out, each one wishing they could be David’s sister.
“I’m thrilled to share the stage tonight. Have our fans had enough, or do y’all want another?” Mirabella teased, her voice brimming with excitement.
Caught off guard by his sister’s initiative, David was both surprised and delighted.
An unexpected encore.
The fans bellowed back with an emphatic, “Yes! More! More!”
Mirabella scanned the crowd with a confident grace. “So, what would you all like to hear?”
A mix of shouts and requests echoed from the audience, but one title rose above the rest—David’s latest hit, “Loving Hug.”
Mirabella’s smile widened. “Did I hear that right? ‘Loving Hug’?”
“Yes!” The venue buzzed with renewed fervor, the atmosphere reaching fever pitch once again.
David hadn’t anticipated his sister’s knack for working the crowd, nor her adept spontaneity.
As the fans chanted with eager anticipation, Mirabella’s unique voice tenderly unfolded the song’s verses. Then, David leaned into the mic, his voice infusing the melody with raw emotion.Applause cascaded through the arena as the song concluded, and tears glistened on the cheeks of some fans—this extra performance was a treasure, a true jackpot for them.
“Who wants to see David bust a move?” Mirabella’s words sent the crowd into a frenzy, the energy reaching a crescendo that promised to linger long after the night was over.
The roar of the crowd was deafening, layer upon layer of cheers and screams filled the air as the concert drew to a close.
“We all want to see!”
“How about I play an impromptu piece on the piano and let him dance spontaneously? Does that sound good?” Mirabella asked with a light smile.
“Yes!” The fans were ecstatic, chanting over and over, “Give us a show! Give us a show! Give us a show!”
David hadn’t expected his sister to be such a crowd pleaser.
Hidden in the shadows, Jossie was moved. She always knew Summer wouldn’t disappoint; she had a knack for working the crowd even better than herself.
A white grand piano slowly rose onto the stage, and Mirabella took her seat before it, starting with a gentle melody.
David broke into a dance, his moves sleek and graceful, drawing a barrage of screams from the audience.
