Kyla froze. “We’re going to get divorced anyway. If I’m the wrongdoer, it’ll cost the Weiss family and you minimal damage, won’t it?”

Yeah, it would cost him minimal damage, but he was unhappy to hear that from her!

“Kyla, you know you’re going to divorce me anyway, so can you stand pretending to be a loving couple with me?” He got up and walked up to her. Suddenly, he bent over with his hands resting on the arms of her chair.

She instantly felt a rush of pressure overcoming her. The gesture made it seem as if she were trapped in his arms. His eyes were almost level with hers. Their faces were so close to each other’s that they could easily feel each other’s breathing.

Kyla looked blankly at the face right in front of her.

Compared to back then, he seemed paler and thinner now. He looked faintly sickly.

It was all because he had donated his liver to her again.

“Why can’t I stand it?” she quietly asked.

However, her calmness only stung his eyes.

His face closed in on hers, and his lips almost pressed on hers. “Can you stand doing this in front of people?”

Her eyelashes quivered slightly. “Yes.”

He pressed his lips hard against hers and kissed her forcefully. The kiss was so intense it felt like he was venting something. It was a long time before he finally ended the kiss. He panted as he glared at Kyla. “Can you stand this?”

However, he was disappointed when she still looked calm. It was as if the kiss was nothing to her.

“Martin Weiss, I can take it. I’ve mentally prepared myself since I made this decision. I can take it even if we have to be intimate with each other in front of others,” Kyla said.

‘Can take it…’ Martin Weiss instantly felt an inexplicable sense of fury surging in his heart.

“Kyla, would you still be able to take it if I were another man?”

Kyla frowned. “Are you being unreasonable?” That assumption simply did not exist.

“Since you said you can take it, let’s live together starting tomorrow. I’ll prepare a house in Emerald City. It’s up to you to decide if the kids and your mother will move over together!” he said as he straightened up and looked at her condescendingly.

She was shocked. “You want to live in Emerald City?” She thought he was only here for a few days.

“Yes, I’ll stay in Emerald City until we get divorced,” he replied, giving her a meaningful glance. Then, he looked away. “Get ready.”

With that, he walked out of the room, leaving Kyla alone in the cramped living room.

‘Am I moving in with Martin Weiss… tomorrow? Is this… the last. time we’re spending together?’ Kyla could not help smiling bitterly.

Valda Theller found herself unable to stop looking at Brian’s lips when she and Brian were together. For example, when she worked overtime in the studio to draw some storyboards, Brian would sit on the couch nearby, reading the comic books she kept in the studio.

However, as she drew, she could not help glancing at him from the corners of her eyes.

If it were not for the storyboards she had to finish today, she would have been tempted to pick up her pencil and draw him!

The way he read the comic book quietly was as beautiful as a portrait.

His sculpted face, sharp brows, phoenix eyes, and straight nose bridge looked beautiful when viewed from the side. What caught her eye the most was his lips. His lips were defined, thin, and sexy. They had a touch of pink, which was beautiful.

His lips felt so soft… It was a pity that the last time he kissed her, it had ended a little too soon…

“I told you, you can just look at me if you want.” His voice suddenly rang out.

Valda Theller’s face indifferently turned red as her eyes met those dark phoenix eyes. She was considered to have been caught peeking.

“Well, I just think you look good,” Valda Theller said with slight embarrassment.

“Then I seem to be your type,” he quipped.

“Of course,” she said.

“What were you thinking when you were looking at me?” he asked.

“I thought our last kiss ended a little too soon…” she blurted out. She only realized what she had said after a few seconds. Her face instantly felt like it was on fire as she waved her hands quickly. She said, “I… I’m joking. Don’t take it seriously!”

With that said, she looked down to stop looking at the face that could induce people’s imagination easily. She tried to refocus on the storyboard she was working on but failed.

Just then, his voice suddenly rang above her head. “Did you want the kiss to last longer?”

Valda Theller instantly looked up to see Brian had walked over to her at some point. He was slightly bent over as he asked her the question.

When she looked up, his face was magnified in front of her.

Gulp!

Valda Theller heard herself gulping.

‘Come on, doesn’t he know it’s easy to go off into wild flights of fantasy when he asks such a question with that face of his?’

“Hmm?” He hummed as if waiting for her answer.

She stared blankly at his face and suddenly said as if she had made up her mind, “Yes, I wish we could’ve kissed longer. I also wish I could kiss you again. I… I like you, so I… I would think that way…”

However, she began stammering as she went on. Even so, it was enough to shock Brian.

He did not expect her to answer so directly. He had only been mildly interested in seeing what she would say. Now, he was the stunned one.

Yeah, the woman liked him, so she wanted to kiss him. Her eyes were clear and pure as if telling him plainly that she only liked him and did not have any other agenda.

“If you want to kiss me again, then… alright,” he replied to her.

Valda Theller was stunned as she blinked stupidly. It was as if she was in a daze.

“What’s the matter? You don’t want to?” he asked.

“No!” she answered almost subconsciously. Moments later, as if she had come to her senses, she blushed and said, “Well… Can 1?”

Valda Theller nervously licked her dry lips. ‘He agreed. Does this mean he has some feelings for me?

‘At the very least, he’s not against kissing me. Will he slowly fall for me, then?’

Valda Theller put down her pencil and held Brian’s face in her hands.

Her hands were warm, and her face looked nervous and earnest.

Brian only thought Valda Theller looked adorable. Many women wanted to kiss him, but it was the first time a woman showed such an expression when she tried to kiss him.

“I’m… inexperienced. I hope you… uh… don’t mind if I don’t do so well,” said Valda Theller.

Laughter flickered in those phoenix eyes. “It’s okay.”

Valda Theller took another deep breath before carefully walking up to kiss Brian. His lips were just as soft as she remembered.

However, they were also as cool as she remembered.

She wanted to warm his lips.

Valda Theller kissed him and seemed to forget the time. She finally stopped the kiss when his cold lips finally had some warmth.

However, what she saw when she opened her eyes were his deep phoenix eyes.

She instantly froze as she blushed again. “Did… Did I kiss you for too long just now? Well… I’m sorry, I… I’ll pay attention to the time next time.”

He chuckled. She seemed to be able to make him laugh easily. “Are you hoping to do it again next time?”

Valda Theller blushed harder. “No… That… That’s not what I meant… Uh… No, I… I wish I could do it again. Well… Well…”

She became more flustered as she spoke. She was even stammering hard.
