That person was only a small-time reporter who found Amber Mitchell by accident. He wanted to report it at first, but George Gregory unexpectedly showed up, so he took these photos.

George Gregory was willing to pay a lot of money for the photos, which was an unexpected fortune for him.

Moments later, the reporter received the money and smiled with satisfaction. Then, he deleted all the backups from his USB flash drive.

After all, he had made a deal with George Gregory. He dared not say one thing and do another.

However, he gave the photos one final glance when he was deleting them.

Judging from Amber Mitchell’s expression when she was talking to George Gregory, Amber Mitchell seemed to not have any affection for George Gregory. She did not seem to want to be with George Gregory again as the news mentioned online.

Instead, George Gregory looked jealous and disappointed as if he had been abandoned by someone he loved deeply!

Was George Gregory still deeply in love with Amber Mitchell?

The reporter chuckled as the speculation flashed across his head. ‘What does it have to do with me? I just have to make sure I get the money!”

The trial drew near. When Amber Mitchell knew Brian was leaving, she went to see him off with the Moss family.

“Mr. Hart, I appreciate all your help thus far,” said Amber Mitchell. Brian agreed in a heartbeat when she asked him for help, which was why Stan Lucas agreed to appear in court.

Stan Lucas might have disagreed to testify in court if she were the one who asked him.

“Since you’re Grace’s friend, I’ll help you,” said Brian. Brian was a little melancholic at the thought of Grace’s departure. ‘I wonder how Grace is doing. Is the baby she’s carrying okay?” “Yeah, I’m also glad to have met a friend like Grace. I hope her pregnancy will go smoothly and she can make it through this!” Amber Mitchell said as she thought of her phone conversation with Grace the other day.

However, her statement made Brian’s expression change. “What do you mean she can make it through? What’s going on with her?”

“She…” Amber Mitchell froze and immediately realized that Brian had no idea about Grace’s current situation. Should she tell him about Grace?

After all, Brian and Grace…

“Tell me!” Brian was worried. Even his phoenix eyes began to redden.

Amber Mitchell could only say vaguely, “Her pregnancy this time is a little tough, but Grace is confident about being able to give birth to the baby.”

‘A little tough? What’s going on?’ Brian’s expression changed. Suddenly, he turned around and walked to the exit of the airport.

Amber Mitchell and the Moss family were stunned. It was time for Brian to board the plane. Why did he leave?

The crowd quickly ran out of the airport, only to find Brian in a 315

car speeding away from the airport.

Whitney Herrera murmured, “Is Brian… going back to Emerald City?”

It was just speculation, but Amber Mitchell suddenly found it possible when she heard it.

She had only made one statement, yet his expression changed so drastically. They could see how much he cared about Grace.

Even though Grace was already married and had children, Brian was still deeply in love with Grace!

Amber Mitchell’s heart sank at the thought of the impact Brian’s arrival in Emerald City might cause Grace.

After all, Brian would not have gone to Emerald City if she had not said those words.

“We should probably go back,” added Whitney Herrera.

There was no point in them staying at the airport now that the person they wanted to see off was gone.

“Okay,” Daley Moss replied to his wife before glancing at Amber Mitchell again. “Why don’t you get in the car with us and return to the Moss family’s house? I’d like to have another talk with you about what you said the last time.”

Amber Mitchell froze slightly before smiling gently. “Okay.”

Whitney Herrera looked at Amber Mitchell. She wanted to say something but hesitated.

Once they arrived at the Moss family’s house, Daley Moss had his servants leave. Hence, only he, his wife, and Amber Mitchell were in the living room.

Daley Moss asked, “Are you still planning to do what you said last time? Even if you feel indebted to my eldest brother, you don’t have to do so.”

He had once hated this woman, but the hatred had somehow faded after seeing how hard the woman was trying to find the truth of the car accident.

Besides, the person who caused the accident was the one he should hate.

“I’m not doing it out of guilt but because I… love Herman,” muttered Amber Mitchell, but the words seemed to carry infinite weight. “Just think of it as realizing a wish for him and myself.”

“You’re not that old. You have plenty of time to meet someone you can love,” said Daley Moss.

Amber Mitchell smiled bitterly. “Herman loved me the most in this world, and I don’t want to love anyone else.”

Herman had occupied her heart, and there was no room for others!

“If you’ve made up your mind, sign this agreement. We can do the rest as you wish,” said Daley Moss as he took out an agreement.

Amber Mitchell read the agreement and prepared to sign it without any objection.

“Amber Mitchell, are you sure? You’re not obligated to do this, but your future husband might find it difficult to accept if you ever want to get married,” Whitney Herrera could not help warning her.

Amber Mitchell smiled faintly. “I have no intention of getting married.”

With that said, she signed her name on the document!

She just wanted to do what she wanted to do most. Life was too short. She had wasted too much time.

She wanted to cherish every day she was still alive!

After receiving a phone call from Amber Mitchell, Grace knew that Brian might have returned to Emerald City when he heard that her pregnancy this time was slightly tough.

When the call was over, Grace bit her lip slightly. She thought Brian had let go of his feelings for her after spending some time abroad. However, she understood that he had not let go when they met in Deer City.

‘What’s going to happen now that he’s back in Emerald City?’

Grace kept feeling a vague unease.

After leaving the law firm, she asked the driver to take her to Reed group’s building.

It was uncertain whether Brian had returned to Emerald City. Maybe he did not return at all, but she still decided to tell Jay in case Brian did return to Emerald City because of her. It might cause Jay to misunderstand again.

When Jason saw Grace in his office, he raised his eyebrows in surprise. “What are you doing here all of a sudden? Is everything at the law firm settled?”

“Yeah, I’ve settled the matters there,” she said. She had been busy with the law firm these days. After all, she had to rest well for her pregnancy, so she had to have someone else handle everything at the firm.

Her most important goal now was to keep the baby.

“Didn’t you say you’ll pick up the kids from kindergarten after taking care of the firm’s matters today?”

he asked. Looking at the time, the two children would be let off kindergarten soon.

“I sent Uncle Kwan to pick them up. Uh… Jay, there’s something I want to talk to you about,” said Grace.

“Is it urgent?” he asked nonchalantly as he put down his pen.

“Yes… Brian might have returned to Emerald City because of my second pregnancy, but I’m not sure,”

said Grace. She told Jason about her phone call with Amber Mitchell.

Since they had agreed to be honest with each other, she did not want to keep it a secret from him.

Jason listened quietly as the expression on his face remained unchanged.

“I see. Are you afraid I’ll overthink it?” Jason asked with a smile.

Grace nodded.
