If only he could have held her hand tight!

Grace frowned instantly and jerked her hand away. She covered her mouth and rushed to the nearby washroom, where she began to throw up violently.

Amber Mitchell hurried into the washroom with a worried face.

Brian stood outside the washroom while something seemed to flash across his deep phoenix eyes.

Grace was done throwing up and finally rinsed her mouth after she had nothing left to throw up.

“What’s the matter? Are you okay?” Amber Mitchell asked.

Grace said, “I don’t have much of an appetite these days. Maybe I’m just having indigestion.” She felt much more comfortable after throwing up.

When they walked out of the washroom, Amber Mitchell said to Grace again, “Go see the doctor and take care of your stomach after returning to Emerald City.”

“Okay.” Grace smiled and looked at Amber Mitchell, then at Brian. “Alright, it’s time for me to get on the plane! Let’s stop talking.”

However, Brian grabbed her wrist just as she stepped forward. “You can’t get on the plane yet.”

“Why?” Grace asked curiously.

His dark phoenix eyes gazed intently at the person before him. A

possibility flashed through his mind. Even though the possibility gave him a heavy feeling, he still had to say it, “Did it ever occur to you that you’ve been vomiting so often lately not because of stomach problems but because you’re pregnant?”

‘Pregnant?’ Grace was dumbfounded and almost could not believe Brian’s conclusion. “No way!” Her body was not fertile. She was lucky to have given birth to the triplets by C-section.

Besides, Jay got a vasectomy in case she got pregnant again. How could she possibly be pregnant under such circumstances?

Therefore, it had never occurred to her that she might be pregnant again even after throwing up several times.

“Is it really impossible? Have you gotten yourself checked in the hospital?” Brian asked.

Grace was silent. She had never gone to the hospital for an examination. In retrospect, she had been throwing up and did not have much of an appetite these days. She also suddenly had a preference for sweet desserts, which seemed to have happened during her last pregnancy.”

‘Am I… really pregnant?’

She looked at her stomach in shock. ‘Is it possible? Could she possibly be pregnant with another child?’

“Get yourself examined and you’ll know if you’re pregnant.” Brian’s voice rang in her ears.

Half an hour later, Grace waited anxiously for the results of her blood test in the hospital’s waiting area.

Though she kept telling herself it was a long shot, she could not help wondering if there was really a little life in her belly?

Amber Mitchell sat next to Grace and kept her company.

Brian stood at the door not far away, quietly leaning by the door. From his eyes, he seemed to be thinking of something. He was looking down.

Time ticked by, and when Grace finally got the blood test results, she looked at the two familiar numbers indicating the blood indices. She knew she was pregnant without the doctor telling her.

She was pregnant! She was carrying a baby!

“You’re pregnant.” A mutter rang in Grace’s ears. She looked up and found that Brian had somehow walked to her side, and his eyes rested on the test results in her hand.

“Yes, I’m pregnant.” Grace smiled faintly.

She and Jay were pregnant again. She did not expect to get pregnant again under such circumstances.

In the past, she thought she would never have children of her own, but she now had three lovely children and there was more on the way.

Perhaps the universe had taken pity on her, after all.

“Since you’re pregnant, you’re not in the right condition to fly. I’ll drive you back to Emerald City,” said Brian.

Grace said, “Thanks, but Jay had asked the driver and bodyguards to stay in Deer City. I’ll just ask the Reed family’s driver to drive me back.”

There was a flash of gloom in Brian’s eyes. She wanted to draw the line between them. Was she afraid that Jason would misunderstand if he sent her home?

Brian could not help smiling faintly at the thought of this. “Alright, I won’t see you off, then. Be careful and stay safe.”

“Okay,” replied Grace.

Not long after, a black Bentley stopped at the hospital’s entrance. Grace got into the car, and the driver drove Grace to Emerald City.

Brian stood blankly at the hospital’s entrance. Looking at the car that gradually disappeared from his sight, the curve on his lips  faded.

Amber Mitchell looked at Brian in a trance and understood that Brian was reluctant to part with Grace.

Had it not been for Grace, Brian probably would not have helped her.

Brian was an outstanding man, but sometimes, love was not about excellence.

Amber Mitchell could not help but recall Herman Moss’s face.

Herman had once asked her, “Will you choose me if I become better than George Gregory one day?”

What had she replied then? She said, “Even so, I’ll still love George. Herman, I don’t love you. George is the man I want to be with forever.”

Forever… Unfortunately, fate gave her a hard slap in the face.

George Gregory’s voice and face became increasingly blurry in her memory during her years in the mental hospital. However, Herman’s face, every word he said, and the things he had done became more vivid in her mind as if they were branded in her blood and bones.

“Mr. Hart, do you want to go back?” Amber Mitchell asked politely.

“Go ahead. I want to stay here a little longer,” said Brian.

“Alright, I’ll go home first,” said Amber Mitchell.

“By the way, I’ll be staying in Deer City for a while. Let me know if you need anything,” Brian said abruptly.

Shock flashed across Amber Mitchell’s eyes.

As if explaining her doubts, he said, “Since Grace has chosen to help you, I’ll help you as well.”

Amber Mitchell froze. ‘Is it just because of that? The man should know that if I have to seek his help, it won’t be for an easy task. After all, what I’m doing now is making enemies of the Gregory and Mitchell families.’

These two families had deep roots in Deer City.

However, Brian was still willing to make such a promise.

“But doesn’t it matter that you’ll get nothing in return for helping me?” Amber Mitchell asked.

The elegant voice said indifferently, “My reward is her happiness.” This was the answer he gave her!

When Grace’s car returned to Reed Residence in Emerald City, Jason was already standing outside waiting for her.

It was already ten p.m. As Grace was pregnant, the driver drove slowly. He was afraid that driving too fast would affect the baby.

When Grace saw Jason at Reed Residence’s entrance, her eyes got slightly wet.

It was not only because they had been apart for ten days but because… she now had a little life in her belly. The baby was a continuation of their lineage.

When Grace got down from the car, Jason suddenly stepped forward and hugged her. The first words he uttered were… “I’m sorry.”

Grace froze. “What’s the matter? Why are you apologizing so suddenly?”

“I’m sorry, I was careless. I should’ve been more careful not to get you pregnant,” he murmured.
