Grace said, “You’ve thanked me many times. But I can’t help you much after this. I’m returning to Emerald City in a few days, but I’ll introduce you to some lawyer friends before leaving. You can consult them if you have any legal problems. They’ll help you get justice.”

“You’ve done so much for me,” said Amber Mitchell. However, what she wanted was not only justice for herself but also… Herman.

“Can I drop by somewhere first before I go to the accommodation you’ve arranged for me?” she asked.

Grace froze. “Where do you want to go?”

“the Moss family’s residence,” she said.

Her remaining nine fingers clasped together. She looked nervous.

When Grace accompanied Amber Mitchell to the Moss family’s house, she was surprised to see Brian in the living room.

Grace immediately froze, while a trace of warmth appeared on Brian’s usually indifferent face upon seeing Grace.

Mrs. Moss, Whitney Herrera, sighed to herself when she saw this. It seemed that what she heard was true.

It was said that the crown prince had many girlfriends, but only Grace, who had become the mistress of the Reed family, had managed to win him over.

Some even said that Jason and Brian had a falling out. They, almost fought because of Grace.

It made Whitney Herrera even more surprised.

After all, Jason and Brian were important people and had seen all sorts of beautiful women.

Grace looked pretty, gentle, and graceful, but she was not exactly stunning.

However, such a woman had two outstanding men who loved her, so she must have special charms.

Daley Moss wanted to refuse to meet Amber Mitchell. Even though she had kowtowed a hundred times to offer incense to his eldest brother, Daley Moss still thought of her as his brother’s murderer.

However, his wife had given him a look when the servants announced their arrival. They had been married for years, so he understood what she meant.

Even if he did not want to see Amber Mitchell, he still had to show Grace some respect.

It was because Grace had the Reed family and… the Hart family as her supporters.

Especially now that his wife was planning to make a comeback, he had to meet them if they wanted to be on the crown prince’s good side.

Daley Moss still seemed upset when he saw Amber Mitchell. “Amber Mitchell, do you think you didn’t cause enough trouble at the Moss family’s cemetery that night? Do you want to make a scene here too?”

“I’m not here to make a scene. I only want to talk to you about something,” said Amber Mitchell.

“the Moss family has nothing to talk to you about,” Daley Moss said without mercy.

“What if that car accident wasn’t an accident?” Amber Mitchell asked.

Daley Moss’s expression instantly changed as soon as she spoke.

“It wasn’t an accident?”

“Yes, it wasn’t an accident. Herman was driving, and he should have been able to avoid the truck at the speed he was driving. But he failed to avoid it when he stepped on the brakes. The brake pedal wasn’t completely dysfunctional, but it wasn’t strong enough to stop the car,” said Amber Mitchell.

Daley Moss’s face grew solemn. “Do you mean someone tampered with the brakes?”

“That’s my speculation, but I have no evidence. I went to the police to look at their investigation report after leaving the hospital. The police did check the vehicle, but there’s no indication of a brake problem on the report.”

“Are you doubting the police’s investigation report, then?” Daley Moss asked.

“That’s one thing. Another is that I recall Herman asking why the car was so hot and whether there was something wrong with the air conditioning when he was driving. But I didn’t feel so at that time. I thought that the car was cool enough, freezing even. Even if it’s different for everyone, this is too significant.”

.

After a pause, Amber Mitchell concluded, “I suspect someone might have spiked Herman’s food so that his physical senses would react differently from normal.”

“Are you saying someone might have drugged him?” Daley Moss narrowed his eyes suspiciously.

“That’s all I can think of,” said Amber Mitchell, who had spent years in the mental hospital reliving the accident.

Daley Moss chuckled suddenly. “It was so many years ago. Why didn’t you bring up such details after the accident but now? How am I supposed to believe you’re not making this up?”

“I was so confused with everything that happened, and Herman… died trying to protect me. I just thought it was an accident. I didn’t even want to recall it,” answered Amber Mitchell.

“Then why did you recall it afterward?” Daley Moss asked sarcastically.

“I thought about many things when I was locked up in the mental hospital, but I thought about the car accident the most. I even dreamed about the accident countless times. I can even recite every word Herman said to me…”

It was doubts about the car accident that had kept her from giving up her life.

It was because she still had to find out the truth about the car accident. She could not let the truth about Herman’s death be hidden away just like that.

Daley Moss’s face grew solemn. “Why didn’t you say anything when you went to the cemetery that night? Why did you choose to say this now?”

“Because most people didn’t think I was normal yet before I went for the consultation. Today, the results were released that I’m not mentally ill, so whatever I say can’t be dismissed as me being crazy,” replied Amber Mitchell.

At the same time, she knew she had nothing even if she was proven to be normal.

She might not be able to retrieve her shares smoothly. Besides that, she had no financial resources and had lost all her connections. Even if Kyla and Grace were willing to help her, they were based in Emerald City. In Deer City, the Moss family was her best choice.

Daley Moss had always respected Herman and was committed to finding out the truth about his eldest brother’s death.

Amber Mitchell’s comment got Daley Moss thinking. Grace.

who was standing next to Amber Mitchell, said with a pale face, “Excuse me. Where’s… the washroom?”

“Oh, it’s right at the end of the hallway,” replied Whitney Herrera.

Before Grace could even say thank you, she covered her mouth. and hurried to the washroom.

Brian looked at Grace’s back thoughtfully. Moments later, he also got up and walked over.

Whitney Herrera sighed to herself.

Sure enough…

It seemed that the crown prince had not gotten over Grace!

Otherwise, the crown prince would not have intervened in Amber Mitchell’s case.

Grace rushed to the washroom and leaned over the sink to throw up.

“Blaargh… Blaargh…” The sound of vomiting was so clear in the washroom that she almost seemed to be throwing up everything in her stomach.

Unbeknownst to her, a man outside the bathroom was worried about her while she was throwing up like crazy in there.

Brian’s indifferent face was now full of worry.

The crown prince of the entertainment industry had never been worried about any woman, except her.

Every move she made affected him.

He kept telling himself that she was now living a good life with Jason, and that was enough for him.

The person she loved was Jason. Her affection for him was nothing more than something that stemmed from childhood memories. He knew this, but his instincts surpassed his reason.

The moment he saw her uncomfortably rushing into the washroom, he could not help following her.

The sound of vomiting inside made him restless. He was afraid that something was wrong with her.
